Just to shock those of you who think I'm old for proudly owning a DVD collection, last month I sold two VHS tapes -yes, you read right, VHS tapes- on eBay!

I saw Jekyll & Hyde on Broadway in 97 (I believe) and I have the David Hassellhoff Broadway DVD.
As much as I enjoy the music- with the exception of the lyric To kill outside St. Paul's requires a lot of balls'- the show itself, I'm afraid, it a bit meh.
I truth, not much happens. It all looks a bit cramped on stage and I was disappointed and a little bored.

Here he is performing Finishing The Hat at the Steven Sondheim Celebration. Hollywood Bowl in 30th July 2023.
I think he's pretty good!

I'm looking out the window as I type this and despite the humidity,given the wing and rain here in Nth London, I wouldn't be surprised if today or tonight performance is cancelled.

Anyone know if you can take curtain call photos or videos at this? Don’t want to break the rules!  I'd recommend checking with the Ushers but I don't recall seeing anyone doing it when I was there. I know they were quite strict, even preventing photographs being taken of the set before the show started! |

I wonder too. I saw Les Dennis in 42nd Street last week and he didn't look particularly good on his feet when walking. Well the simple reality for them -and indeed all of us- is that age creeps up. Just because they're on the television or stage, in that regards, they're no different than the rest of us. And I guess (God forbid) if there were a fall, it's better to do so on the ground, than on the ice in that other show that shan't be mentioned and run the risk of breaking a hip! |

Rachel Tucker has just been announced as alternate Norma! Monday evenings and other select performances TBC. The tweet says ‘head to the website’ for her performance schedule but I can’t see it on there just yet. Definitely Mondays though… Maybe this is becoming trend. Michael Ball has just done the same thing with Aspects of Love. |

Les Dennis is confirmed as the final contestant Yes, heard this on the radio this morning whilst having a bagel for breakfast. At the risk of sounding ageist, I do wonder how the older contestants will cope with the complexities and physicalities of the Latin dances. I mean, Kudos to them for putting themselves out there and having a go. Obviously, I wish them the best, but I do wonder.... |
