Posting in another thread I realised I had an unpopular opinion. As it's mine I'm entitled to it so don't rip my head off haha. My theatre bug bear is someone paying for a crumby seat for next to nothing then moving up to say a stall seat when they realise it's spare. If you wanted a good seat pay for it. I don't go to the theatre as much as I'd like to as it's an expensive hobby to have but pay for a seat I'm willing to sit in. If I pay for the rubbish view that you'd have to swing one armed from the ceiling to see properly then do that, don't expect to upgrade yourself when you decide a seat is spare!! Obviously if thy decide not worth opening certain areas and the theatre upgrade you then bonus Jonas. #rantover haha.

I went to see Miss Nightingale at Buxton on its 2nd to last night of the whole tour and wish they had closed the circle as there were only about 25 people dotted around the stalls. I felt really bad for the performers as can't be easy playing to an almost empty house and I almost felt I had to over enthuse my reactions to make up for it!!!

Fingers toes and eyes crossed for this. I just hope it could live up to my expectations, either way I'm sure I'll love it and actually make it to a cinema to see this, as I'm not a massive lover of the cinema!!

Trust it to come to Sheffield now I have tickets for it in Manchester. I wish touring shows would release all venues at once so you knew which one was closer! It's always either risking a wait and it not coming near you and if it doesn't book somewhere else with rubbish seats or book great seats then find its coming to your town. I know it can never happen as some venues can't commit at the same time but in my dreamworld it works that's way!! Anyway that's my rant over haha.

Mine was April last year. I've listened to Les Mis for as long as I can remember. For years I heard it booming up the walls whilst mum and dad had the record player blasting out whilst us kids tried to sleep, and it is my all time favourite musical. I went to NYC for my honeymoon and 30th birthday and booked to see Les Mis on Broadway on my birthday. It was my first time seeing it live. I know the OCR off my heart and know all the notes and lines so was so worried I wouldn't enjoy it as much as hearing Colm and Michael etc but I was blown away, Ramon was a fab JVJ and the cast were phenomenal. I don't think I have ever been so engrossed in a performance before and would go back in a heart beat to see it. But for now I have to stick to my CD singing me off to sleep. I think it will be one of those days in 40 years to come I will still remember by NYC birthday extravaganza.

I have only ever stage doored once and that was at Mack and Mabel to see Michael Ball *don't judge me haha! Anyway 2 women joined me and started to talk very loudly to each other about all the times they'd met him and what he smelt like and went on and on, I think it might have been more of an attempt at bragging but I couldn't help coming away thinking I hope I don't get so obsessive about someone I barely know. I think admiring and liking a performer is fantastic anf they obviously would appreciate people's admiration and thanks but when it starts knowing there scent and buying them expensive gifts you may need to take a step back!

After reading the reviews and everyone's comments on here I'm kind of glad my Groundhog Day tickets got cancelled and we booked this as a replacement I can't wait to go and see if for myself. Roll on July

I'm going to call box office tomorrow for a refund as can't really commit to definately getting to London on other days. If only hadn't booked Aladdin would have been able to move things around. Oh well the best laid plans ... Have booked to see Titanic the musical to replace it so not all lost haha. Note to self.... move nearer London!!!

I wish they'd built extra time in for running everything properly. I booked for the 12th July as seeing Aladdin and joined it into one trip. Now will either have to fork out hotels and trains again or miss out.

Looks like James Cordon is doing a carpool karaoke with a few Tony nominees. Definitely seen LMM in the shot but didn't pay much attention to everyone else and now can't remember haha. Either way really looking forward to this.

I actually really want to go to this. I've seen Alfie live before and although he's by no means my favourite singer he can perform. On the other hand only seen Michael in characters and absolutely love the socks of him (more than any 30 year old married Lady should haha) Might have to persuade my sis to come along as she loves Boe!!

Just back from this evenings performance and was pleasantly surprised. It had a little bit of a slow start but built up to a wonderful finale. The cast were good and as usual set design nice and creative. The start of the show seemed to have the orchestra drowning out the singing and struggled to hear a few lines but got better within it.
The 'Dior' fashion parade had a few lovely dresses but all looked like they needed a good steam so didn't have the wham eye catching effect you'd anticipate.
Downside - no song list in the programme and dresses need a good steam. Upside -our cow molly (best interval ice creams ever but I am biased), excellent casting, creative set.
All in all a fitting final performance from the wonderful Daniel Evans and for £17 it's the steal of the season.

Must remember to keep an eye out for this at the cinema. I remember going to a Phantom special screening and loved it but missed out on Memphis and Billy Elliott!!

The Eurovision clip is fantasic a showy number definitely makes everything seem better. It does seem very NPH at The Tonys, I do miss him but fingers crossed James Corden can bring it back when he hosts. I think I'll have to admit to having Eurovision memory loss as I don't remember hardly any previous entries or winners!!

That'll be one to watch out for as on my 'to do list'. I'd not really heard of it till I got the album from a charity shop a few months back.

Mine used to be lovingly displayed on a shelf but it got overwhelmed and when I moved they got relegated to a box under the spare bed. I always read everyone's bio and if they've been in something I've seen out comes the big box to see if I've seen them before. Current leader is Marti Pellow (which is shameful as I can't stand him -sorry if you love him)

His costumes for Chitty are a little more flamboyant, hopefully you'll be able to draw a veil over Barry... ;-) The costumes look fabulous, he's still Barry though. I would love to see Mark Benton in the role but sure Barry will do just fine. I'm really looking forward to it.

Just reading the cast for when pops into Sheffield and whilst I'm pleased Phil Jupitas isn't in it, we seem to have Shaun Williamson 'Barry from Eastenders' hope I can get out my head he's Barry!

Now what do you do, book when opening or hang on in the hope of seeing LMM? It's very rare I see a show twice especially if having to book tkts, travel and accommodation. Maybe Hamilton might have to be the one exception.

I am really looking forward to seeing this when it opens. I might be biased as Aladdin was my favourite Disney film when I was younger so doubt it can do any wrong in my eyes.

For anyone who was waiting the Hamilton the revolution book is back in stock on Amazon. I'm still in 2 minds about this one it looks good but I really don't need any more 'coffee table' books. It's a really beautiful, informative and entertaining book. It's not huge and would fit on a normal bookshelf alongside other hardbacks without looking out of place. I'm really enjoying Lin talking about narrative decisions vs historical accuracy. Thanks for the info. I think I will cave in and order it just trying to wait, still haven't got through all the other books I've got, I need a Belle sized library!!

I'm trying not to book anymore as need to save some money but I have a passion for musical theatre and very weak will power haha.
