I had tkts booked when it was due to be on before Covid scuppered us. I was looking today and SeatPlan mentioned it rumoured for Birmingham Rep for 2024 but I've not seen anything else reported. Anyone have any thoughts on whether it's likely to be on? It is definitely one of my bucket list musicals at the moment!

I went to yesterday's matinee. I had booked for the tour that got possibly covid cancelled then totally pulled so when it came in sale I knew I wanted to head down.
It was an event for sure. Celinde was sublime and it seemed almost effortless for her to sing. I've never seen her before and boy was that a treat. Norm was a little disappointing,he did forget some lines, wasn't as powerful as I expected and just didn't match the powerhouse that was Celinde. If another partner for her I think it would have been total magic. Cian playing Gustave was great, I read in the programme he only started singing in 2021 so he'll be one to look out for in the future!
The orchestra was amazing, it's an usual show but my what a score.
In the stalls we seemed to have a big nose blower which did distract especially when it was pin drop quiet before LND.
4 stars for me.

I really enjoyed this production 4 stars from me. Yes it is a slightly watered down version but if I didn't know all the words and had seen the show before it's not drastically different. The cast were great and I enjoyed a female engineer, I think for me Chris' character was now my least favourite and possibly the slight weak link in the show. I enjoyed his performance more in person than I did the promo video though but I just didn't connect with their performance as much.
The orchestra were great, it's the busiest I've seen the Crucible be at the very end for a final round of applause for them!
I've rebooked to see again in a few weeks even if it is just to see Shanay singing Maybe again.

I'm in for this Sat Mat as well. I'm debating booking more tickets as I do love the score. Its interesting to see everyone's reviews and ratings on this.

For me it's mainly costs. Travelling via train with limited advanced fares, expensive hotels (picking sensibly as sole female traveller) and spending money my last show weekend in London cost me around £600. Lots of the shows seem to head out on tour at some point so I've decided not to do a London weekend again and just drive down for the 1 off shows I know I won't be able to see elsewhere.

I’m going to the evening show on the 15th of July and making a weekend of it, never been to Sheffield before (to be honest I’ve never really been north of Birmingham before!!!) so was after some advice of the must-sees and must-dos of Sheffield? Any advice greatly appreciated! Sheffield can be slightly hit and miss and never sells itself all that well! Places walking distance from Sheffield Centre worth visiting depending on your interests: Winter Garden, Millenium Gallery, Peace Gardens with the gorgeous backdrop of the Town Hall, Botanical Gardens, Weston Park (Garden and museum), Cathedral, Kelham Island museum, Victoria Quays canal basin. It does have some wonderful old buildings around the city as well as many an eye sore. For shopping there is Meadowhall (or Meadowhell depending on who you ask), the main town centre and Ecclesall/Sharrow Vale. There are some great walks, I like Rivelin Valley or Wyming Brook but you also have the Peak District National Park on the doorstep with some great walks and villages and easily accessible by bus if you don't have a car. Food wise there are some great spots The Kommune is good if lots of people who might want different choices or Pedlars Market which is normally on 1st weekend of each month. A definite must do is see the Hendos relish image in the train station! If you're interested in football Sheffield FC the oldest club play in Dronfield.

I saw this Saturday after getting a last min ticket all the way up in the gods and thoroughly enjoyed it. At times I felt it also reminded me of Come from Away but not sure why. The singers were great especially the lady playing Alwyn and really glad I went along.

Not very often I'd be lurking in the plays threads but to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Crucible we have booked to see all three. Saw Scissors first at the Studio on opening night then Paper last night at the Lyceum. Night one at Scissors went without a hitch, a couple of line reminders but it was the first night, there were no delays, Paper last night a slight pause whilst they got back on track and synched them back up. Off to see Rock towards end of run so hopefully will all run smoothly. Out the two I've preferred Paper it was funny and witty. Looking forward to Rock to piece the final bit of the jigsaw together. They all can be watched independently as have their own storyline but after seeing 2 there are obviously characters and tangents you understand a little more.

I went last night on the traditional first Monday showing! I did enjoy it but it just felt a little bit long. As usual the Crucible makes great use of its staging and the cast were great but it just had something missing. Although my day has been spent singing about vanilla ice cream so maybe I did like it more than I though ha. Liked it didn't love it. What were the times? Maybe they’ll trim it down in previews, if not thank god I’m at a matinee otherwise I’d be bedding down on the bench outside the Pumpkin Cafe on platform 8! It's was 2 hrs 40, normally in theatre world that'd fly by but some bits just seemed to drag. Luckily I checked the start time as I'd guessed 7:45 but it was actually 7:15 so very nearly missed getting into town on time!

I feel I'm destined to never see this production,I had booked tickets in September but had Covid and had to cancel. I thought I could see at the cinema tonight but alas I'm snowed in!! It seems to have a further screening Weds so let's hope I can book on that. Seeing Sutton in this role was a 'bucket list for me 😞. Curling up with a tub of miniature heroes and watching Deck the Halls instead. Out of curiosity, have you tried looking at showtimes at a specific cinema or on the show’s own website? I thought there were only two screenings locally, but on the show’s website ( www.anythinggoesmusicalcinema.com ) there’s far more screenings. And it looks like it’s running until January in London. It seems close to me it's just 1st December. There are some on 7th but thats a lot further away - but a good back up. Thanks for the website I had only looked at my cinemas times.

I've had to take the plunge and order tickets to go as think I would be kicking myself to miss Sutton. When did train fares become astronomical I'm sure its never cost me this much to venture from the North ha.

Morning did anyone else get the money sent back? I paid when released and got the shirts delivered, the money came out my account on day of release but for some reason kept showing as a pending PayPal payment. This morning it's been returned as they didnt sign up for a paypal account or complete registration. Has anyone else had this happen? Now I've got to chase down to pay - hopefully this hasn't happened to too many people and if so they do pay it back.

I hadn't ever listened or thought about listening to this. It was on whilst I was working so only actively listened some of it but have now added a few songs to my spotify list that caught my attention.

Went yesterday to see this and loved it more than I thought I would. The cast were amazing, especially Hugh Coles as George McFly for a professional debut he was phenomenal. I've never applauded for a 'stage prop' but the entry of the delorean was worthy of it! A slight halt to the show with the curtain coming down but only a small delay. The most well behaved audience I have ever encountered while surprised me. Have booked again for later in the run and cant wait to go back.

I went last week and say JOJ and was blown away. I've never seen him before in anything and I was captivated The whole case were really amazing though, I had reservations about Carrie as the last time I saw her in Addams Family she was not good as was coming down with flu and missed most of her notes, but she nailed it in this. Also previous reviews of Michael Ball made me worried I wouldn't enjoy his performance but he was good (ok not the most convincing Javert). I wish I could go back and see it all again

I went last night in Sheffield to see this. I must admit it wasnt my choice to go as my other half booked, I dont know many of the songs so didnt know what to expect and wasnt particularly looking forward to it. Marcus wasnt on but Louise in his place,(2nd musical meant to have seen him in but he wasnt on!!) some stand out vocals especially Natalie Green and was surprised by how great Jake Quickenden was. Glad to have seen it to tick it off but not one would rush back to see. I saw it Tuesday night and wasn't overly impressed although agree most of the cast were very good singers. The sound was so loud that half the time I couldn't understand a word and only knowing the more popular songs. it didn't make a lot of sense. Or is it not supposed to? I'm not entirely sure it made much sense to be honest. I enjoyed some of the songs but not a huge storyline more an overall theme (although quite possible I missed a storyline though!) It felt very much like cats to me, a lot of songs some good some not so good and leaving thinking huh. As I said not one would rush back to but least ticked it off my list!!

Public booking opened this morning. Long queue at the physical box office, and an even longer one online. I should be pleased, but even I had to wait my turn! Do they not know who I am? Did you get what you wanted, FrontroverPaul ? Barring a legal challenge, the Midland Main Line will have a new operator by the time of your visit. Apart from maybe a new livery, I'm not sure too much will change in the first few months. It was extremely busy this morn, I logged on ready for my crucible Christmas tickets and got those. Then decided wanted to book other tickets and ended up in 1000 people queue! Oh well got my usual date and seat so all happy here

Is this some new take on stunt casting, where everyone has at least one member of the cast that puts them off seeing it? Waiting for Marti Pellow to be announced then haha.
