Fingers toes and eyes crossed for this. I just hope it could live up to my expectations, either way I'm sure I'll love it and actually make it to a cinema to see this, as I'm not a massive lover of the cinema!!

Why would they even pick an actual DAY for 2019? It's kind of ridiculous anyway, but being that precise is hilarious.

Why would they even pick an actual DAY for 2019? It's kind of ridiculous anyway, but being that precise is hilarious. Movie studios tend to secure desirable dates for upcoming film slates, Disney have already scheduled their films for the next years as have Universal and Warner Bros. to give an example, Warner Bros had scheduled Ready Player One for December 2017 then Disney decided to move Star Wars VIII from May 2017 to December 2017 forcing WB to move to the Spring of 2018

Right everyone, let's get casting. I'd like to think there are enough rolls to stick names in (Wizard, Morrible, Dillamond) That we can get a great MT performer for Elphaba. With Cynthia Erivo's Tony won, think it could be a great roll for her.

Puh, I'll believe it when I see it.
But it would be great if they could cast younger performers and not fall into the trap of established names who would be more than fine on stage but really are pushing the whole "university student" thing on screen. The Wicked name will sell itself - get stars for Morrible and the Wizard if you want, but get THE BEST PERFORMERS for rest, and don't worry if we've never heard of them before.

I hope James Corden isn't in it.... He'd be a brilliant Elphaba.

Who is up for buying out an entire West End screening, imposing a "no talking, no food, no phones" rule and enjoying the film in peace, then?! (just a joke, not going to happen). I'm in.

I'm going obvious for casting...Lea Michelle, Kristin Bell, Harry Styles, Meryl Streep, maybe bring back Joel Grey for the Wizard, Daniel Radcliffe for Boq and Anna Kendrick for Nessa.

In that case, 2 down, about 80 or so to go... and yes, I actually do know where I could get my hands on a cinema... Ha if I start putting some money aside now by the time it comes out I'll be able to come. So count me in

Hmmm... having experienced my local audience for "Into the Woods," much as I'd love to see this on a huge screen, not sure I could stand it. Who is up for buying out an entire West End screening, imposing a "no talking, no food, no phones" rule and enjoying the film in peace, then?! (just a joke, not going to happen). You need to go to a better quality of cinema, monkey. I go to Picturehouse Central and The Prince Charles and you get no talkers or phone players at either. Bliss.

I really like Picturehouse Central, I like the Cineworld Haymarket and the Curzon Bloomsbury as well and although I've only been once, the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill is pretty great.

There's no behavioural issues at my local cinema either. It's usually better than most theatres, especially compared to productions of Phantom or Wicked

ShoesForRent, we'll offer you easy payment instalments, no problem. So, that's 3 - 77 to go... I'm in if I can sit front row without having the crazies next to me

As far as casting goes, Lea Michele and Anna Kendrick are the obvious choices, though I don't particularly want Lea to get it. Aaron Tveit can totally play Fiyero again though...or Jonathan Groff wouldn't be so bad either... "premium seat" booked for fiyero. 76... If it's in London, count me in. And I don't do premium, my only request is an aisle seat. And I won't sit in it 20 minutes before the start so no-one else can get in to their centre of the row seats.

I'm looking forward to this! I don't understand why the show gets written off as commercial therefore crap by loads of musical theatre lovers. It will be interesting to see how the source material stands up in another vehicle - it could be hit or miss xxx

Well Idina and Kristin will probably both be in it in some capacity. Could either play Morrible? Or is Meryl going to do that too?
What about giving Sam Barks one of the leads? Harry Styles could well be cast as Fiyero (.......joy), or Nick Jonas (.......).

I hope we've reach that moment where we have enough good musical theatre actors involved with television and Hollywood so we don0t need to a pick One Directions... But Nick Jonas as Boq could be funny.

Lea Michele spotted buying a broomstick yesterday. Sorry can't reveal source! Funny I have a source spotting her at a M.A.C trying different shades of green (but please don't let it be Lea Michele)

And I've seen Anna Kendrick talking to goats.
(I do like to see her as Elphaba though).

Channing Tatum as Fiyero! Those tight pants will never have looked so snug. They're all meant to be school kids and presumably that means twinky.

Depends on the age they decide they want to cast - Greade worked perfectly despite the fact they definitely weren't teenagers! If they cast younger, I can see Nick Jonas getting the role. Even though he's (very) hot he seems to lack any kind of sex appeal required for this role even though he tries very hard to fake it. in theory he's very much my type but I can only think of him asexually

Aisle seat locked in for posterj. Hurry, hurry, only 75 seats remaining - limited availability in the "premium no nutjobs" section, too. Is there a student discount/use of my NT entry pass/free tickets for under 25 year olds?? If not, I'll start saving now. But count me in.

Two premium seats please, best view in the house - double income no kids here! Happy to sign the disclaimer to keep the fan-girling to a minimum but like Ryan I'm sure it'll depend how tight Fiyero's jodhpurs are!
