Does anyone know, does Bernadette do the Stage Door?

Good on them for giving it another production.

You know for what it was, I enjoyed it. (trust me) I have seen much worse and it was evident the amount of thought that went into this production.
I don't believe there was ever a cast recording but I did manage to download four of the songs.

Do you think this may transfer to the UK?

I have not seen this production as yet, but if it's as stripped back as people have reviewed, I kinda wonder if all the legal battles that took place at the time to even stage the original production at the time were all in vain?
My (extremely limited) understanding is that these legal battles with Paramount are still ongoing in terms of trying to make a movie of the stage show.

I forgot to mention that I thought The Cardinal ironically looked like a Hari Krishna!

Just got home from seeing this.
Lots of fun. Some terrific voices on that stage.
As all referred to above, references to Hamilton, Six- which I have never seen (don't hate on me), Wicked and The Little Mermaid.
What it lacked in set was made up for with some terrific lighting.
Zizi Strallen- I've seen her in a few things now ad there is something about this woman- the way she holds herself, her posture and poise. I don't know how old she is but give her about 20 years or so and I reckon she'll make a sensational Countess Charlotte Malcolm in a production of A Little Night Music.

First time ever I became an armchair critic!
Firstly, what was Tess wearing? And Shirley's shoes?
Some dances were (clearly) better than others.
Some thoughts.
Adam- the grin is incredible but as good (or bad) as he may be. I reckon after a couple of hours one-on-one, that laugh would really get on your nerves!
Angela Rippon- that opening with the chiffon gown and those legs!
I thought Nikita has certain Stacey Solomon quality about her.
Leyton- I'm struggling to warm to him.
Ellie was surprise- I think it's a case of not realising how good she was. Anyone else miss Vito? It's great that he's back!
He gave it a go, and that that's commendable however Les was painful to watch.
Annabelle and Johannes- it think she quite surprised herself.
Bobby- I gotta agree, tuck the bum under!
Krishnan- don't know exactly was that was but he was grinning throughout and the feedback was relatively positive so lets see where his journey takes him.
Amanda was a pleasant surprise- good on her.

That's a great and enthusiastic review sampmiller.
As creative and original as this all sounds, as someone who was old enough to remember both the film and the original production vividly and fondly, I don't know how well this is going to sit with me.
That said, if I do get to see this, based upon the above, I'm prepared to be blown away!

Forgive me if this may be a foolish thing to ask but (genuine question) why would perform a show in a language that differs from that city's mother tongue?

Or (can you guess) it's re-imagined!
Everything else seems to be, or it's a concert version, so why not Starlight Express?

You know, it's fine to re-imagine a production and change the sets, costumes, etc, however (for God's sake) don't mess with the script- there's actual dialogue from the original film- or the songs!

I'm perfectly willing to accept that this will be good. But it needs pitch perfect writing. Without that, it becomes just another bland sitcom. Frasier had some of the best comedy scripts ever written, I'm thinking particularly of the Ski Lodge episode. Niles: "I'm not gay, Ghee!" And after everyone is chasing after each other Frasier standing on the landing of the staircase, bare chested with towel around his waste haughtily shouting "You mean to tell me that with all this running around, nobody is chasing me!"

I live within a (safe) 30 minutes walk away from Regents Park and I'm not even venturing out to the Post Office, let alone sitting in an open-air theatre watch a performance!

First week of actual dancing- let's start sorting the wheat from the chaff!
Although no one will leave this week, based upon what we've seen so far, who do we predict will be in the first dance off?

Maybe- and this is just a thought- it's black and white, not only to reflect Norma's time in front of the camera, but also as she slips in and out of sanity?
So, Joe's world, with Sheldrake, Betty and Artie- the scenes at Swabs- are all in colour. But the scenes inside the mansion- the dead chimp, Max shuffling about, the screenings of her old films, that sort of this are in black and white.
I don't have a ticket or any inside knowledge however again, just a thought.

Well it's back! Unfortunately my TV has died- as has my stereo and my laptop so I had to watch it on the i-Player. Initial thoughts- the judges all look good. I feel that Craig has visibly ages a little ans Motsi looks great- I think she may have lost a little weight Loved the tribute to Len. It was good to the cuddly teddy bear that Hamza is dancing again with Jowita. Anyone else miss Vito's dopey grin? This year they didn't introduce any new pro-dancers however who was the new guy dancing on Craig's right? Speaking of pro-dancers, has anyone noticed that Cameron has left? All the new contestants understandably all looked a little nervous/excited/anxious. There is obviously room to show their stuff, develop and grow. I have no ideas who a handful of those contestants are. I like the pairings. I thought that woman from Coronation Street looked like that Michelle Lee from Glee! Les Dennis, whilst I doth my cap to him for agreeing to take part (sorry, but) he just looks old! That said, I'm prepared to be proven wrong and blown away by his abilities. Is it too early to select favourites? Do you mean Lea Michele? Michele Lee is over 80! Yeah, that’s it- sorry 🤷♂️
