Has anyone won the lottery recently? I’ve been getting “Better luck next time” emails for weeks now and can’t work out if it’s because I’ve won before or because so many more people are now in the draw. They push it quite heavily on social media so it wouldn’t surprise me. It doesn’t matter hugely for me because I’ve already got several full price return visits booked in (my poor bank balance!) but I’m just curious as winning used to be pretty easy. I won a couple of weeks ago for the first time despite being in it from the beginning. Unfortunately the dates didn't work for me so am hoping for another win.

I finished Australia season 2, I’m not sure how I feel about it. I loved the ending, but the absolute stupidity of the faithfuls to keep getting manipulated by sam, no matter how many times faithfuls got voted out that were on to him, made me feel like the overall game play and twists and turns were below par. {Spoiler - click to view} I'm glad he didn't win, though I feel bad for the others. Good on Camille seeing through his crap and taking him down with her.
There were so many times when it seemed like they were finally going to break away from his line but then at banishment it all just fell apart.

Again on Three, and even out in Hammersmith I often can't get signal. Have to wander up and down until it either picks up or I find a public wifi.
Will be switching from them after my trip to the US.

Australia series 2 is currently airing for anyone who wants to hunt down a torrent. I've been watching it. So brutal!

There was sort of an adaptation of Rumpelstiltskin in Once Upon a Time, but he was also {Spoiler - click to view} beast, and Peter Pan's son/the crocodile...

Absolutely loved this yesterday and agree that Night Will Come was the only song that truly is worse off for the lack of revolve. One thing I hadn't seen mentioned was how pretty the new lighting in If I Had My Time Again was! Some of the lyric changes do seem somewhat unnecessary though and I would love to watch Rubin and Minchin explain why certain minor things were changed (the fried chicken line is now "one day my heart will stop beating unless I cut down my cheese eating" iirc?) and the musical changes in Seeing You (a new guitar part at the beginning). There's a whole stereotype with black people and fried chicken isn't there, so I'd guess that's why it's changed to cheese? Fried Chicken Stereotype

There was a loud crunch at one point last night followed by a member of crew dashing out on stage, but other than that and one or two prop drops it seemed to run very smoothly.
Our favourite parts were the quick changes/swaps and the van.
Glad I saw it, but won't be rushing back.

Was a little bit disheartened to see we were getting an understudy for Monty yesterday, but I needn't have been. Holly was brilliant. Loved this even more than in Hammersmith last year.
New glitzy costumes, and a proper glitzy finale!

Saw the matinee this afternoon and I know everyone has said this already, but what a phenomenal show! Fast, funny, great jokes, even better songs and brilliant choreography delivered by a fantastically talented group of 5 performers. There's such a wide range of musical styles in the show, from Hamilton-style numbers to electropop and 40s jazz, but it's weaved together so nicely that the genres never clash. Potentially spoilery comment on one aspect: {Spoiler}{Spoiler - click to view} I found the gender-swapped casting really interesting! At the beginning, I assumed the only swap would be women playing men, but Hester being played by a man made a really refreshing change as well. Rather than using Jak Malone's Hester as a stereotypical Mrs Brown's Boys-esque comedy character, they really tapped into her backstory and emotions, which was lovely to see. I just thought the genderblindness was done so well and not in a gimmicky way at all. Can anyone confirm if this casting been the case throughout all the iterations of the show? Thrilled to hear the cast recording is coming soon as I need to listen to the songs again! I'm sure I missed so many gems in the theatre. Easy 5 stars. {Spoiler - click to view} It was that way at Riverside last year, and on soundcloud there is a version of Dear Bill from the New Diorama 3 years ago with the same actor singing. Dear Bill Live at the New Diorama

I went on Friday. Bit of a mixed bag for me really. The performances were great, there were some nice songs, but found the story-line a bit pretentious at times. {Spoiler - click to view} Effectively, the main character Maggie is a Richard Dawkins-esque figure who has written a controvertial book and is sick of answering questions about it. She tries to escape to Italy where she meets Luke, there's just one problem, he's religious. The two are very set in their ways, so can they overcome this to be together. There are also two college students along for the ride, but they don't really have much of a story of their own. Thanks Sam. In terms of the score, how would you describe it? From the few clips shared on social media, the songs seemed decent enough in isolation but wasn’t sure if it would get a bit dreary if consistently in that style… They were pleasant, and all the cast are great singers. I didn't find that it dragged on music wise, it was more the storyline that was a bit thin for me. I'm glad I saw, it, but I wouldn't rush back.

Intrigued by this after the mention on EPOS at the weekend. Cracking cast - Madalena Alberto, Molly Lynch, Tim Rogers etc. Anyone going this weekend? Report back if so - especially on the subject of feline bloodshed, or not. I'm going on Friday

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the ending, though I hate the tacked on ending Shaw added too. {Spoiler - click to view}I just really don't see the point in her coming back to just leave again straight away. I'd rather she stayed but stood up for herself a bit. It doesn't need to be romantic, she literally says she just wants to be friends. I've never liked the idea of her with Freddie. She needs to retain her independence whether that is at Wimpole Street or on her own.

Hi everyone, I'm really keen to see &juliet before it closes but all the remaining tickets are just too expensive! I'm hoping to get rush/day seats this Saturday for the evening performance but I'm worried it'll be so popular that I'll be unsuccessful. Has anyone got any tips? Or knows of any offers? Thanks! If you go to the box office on the day they will have standing seats available, but they told me no day seats as it's otherwise sold out. You might be lucky and they have the odd single seat left that they reduce, but the only guarantee would be to go early and opt for standing. There's details on their website.

I’ve just started the Australian version, I feel like half of these traitors are gonna get caught within the first 3 episodes. I really hope they don’t mess with the format for UK season 2, keep it as it was because we know it works. The only thing they need to tweak is that the contestants will know that the last person coming through the door in the morning after a murder is a faithful because the way they keep the suspense on tv, so they need to change that up. Also, there’s a good podcast episode with 2 of them on it here where you get lots of gossip and backstage secrets. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/saving-grace/id1619965208?i=1000596604312In the UK one I think I remember a traitor being the last person at least once. It never happened in the US one though.

Anyone have experience with rushing this show? I saw you can either get it on TodayTix which I've heard is really popular or from 12 at the box office. Are there usually big queues at the box office for day seats? Anyone with experience with either perspective would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Went to the theatre yesterday with a friend about 5pm and they offered us Day Seats. £25 for row K of circle. Great view.

So stupidly I booked tickets for a show on Friday not realising that there are tube strikes on.
I'm wondering how difficult it is going to be to get around and whether there will be any tubes running at all?
Will need to get to Oxford Circus from either Uxbridge or Hammersmith. Or do I give up and try to pass the tickets on?

Also, ballroom teachers will often dance with their students for medal tests and competitions. It's much easier to manage with a taller leader than it is the other way around, as the follower is supposed to stretch anyway. They just use a more open hold so whilst the bodies aren't touching, the follower can still make the right shape with their body. My teacher was a good foot shorter than me so as a follower I was trying to stretch out, whilst slightly squatting down which didn't really work for me, but I passed.

Use code "LOVERLY" to get £10 off a ticket on TodayTix. Seems to work on Day Seats too. Almost tempted to see it again.
