She's taking this to Broadway in Spring 25 Her and Rob Madge. I don't understand the point you're trying to make? Denise is going to Broadway next year. It was a smash at St Ann's when they did it before and pandemic caused a delay in getting to New York...

Oh it's been a thing on the Wicked London thread for years - deej4life's knowledge is wild, and I say let it stay where it is!

Sounds like they're running a tombola pre show of who goes on...

...they used pre recorded tracks instead of a live band?
Prime example that just because you can put on a concert, doesn't mean you have ANY business doing so ๐

Not sure that playing Billy is much use as training to play Romeo Sure, but he has experience of being on stage, which is a massive plus - I think what we've seen him do so far on screen also points to the fact he can do it. Let's also not forget that Jamie Lloyd will likely reinvent this in some way, so it's not going to be your traditional Romeo.

Rarely. But let's not forget he began his career on the stage.

I would imagine a good 90% of the audience who have tickets for this will go 'who?' at the Juliet as it'll be a theatre name, so I'm not at all surprised they just sold it off Holland.

I would stick it out. The wheels do come off a bit in the middle of the second act, but it's interesting enough to hang on.

I think it probably only needs to lose 10 minutes really, and only in the second act.

Glad to hear they're implementing changes! Do you know what they've changed so far? Not specifically, but I was finished a good 5 or 6 minutes earlier than my friend was last night which she said is a good sign!

Very much feel like I've watched a different show to all other posters so far ๐
I thought this was in really great shape for a third preview. They're doing a lot of work in the day, and after speaking to a friend, there were changes tonight from what they saw yesterday.
Cast are almost uniformly spectacular. Sheridan is doing the best acting of her career and sings as well as she can (and honestly, as the character is losing grip on reality I sorta bought a couple of the strained top notes at times.) Nicola Hughes is fantastic - what a showstopper end of act 1, and then a brilliant duet top of act 2 with Sheridan. Loved Hadley, Amy Lennox, John Marquez. Enjoyed Benjamin Walker but his act 1 number needs some work. Only person I didn't buy was the girl playing Nancy, but I think there was some sound issues tonight as she just sounded a bit inaudible at times.
Really enjoyed the staging. Thought the camera stuff worked well mostly and never felt like it got in the way.
Music is largely great - I'd really like a cast recording so I can hear some of the music again as it's so distinctive. The quarter in act one with Sheridan, Hadley Amy and Benjamin was beautiful, loved the end of act 1 big number for Nicola, and then the Nicola/Sheridan duet top of act 2.
The wheels do come off for about 20 minutes in act 2, so there's some work to do there (the scene where Nancy subs in for a number doesn't work because the video is pre recorded a.d the actor is just out of sync), but that's what previews are for.
I understand I'm in a minority here (as shown by the 20 odd people in the dress who didn't return in the interval and the two who didn't make it to the end of act 2) but wouldn't theatre be boring if we all thought the same eh

Perfect space for it really. A bit scaled down needed but it would do well there.

She's excellent, as is Jack Davenport, but definitely not missing a good play if it is cancelled.

Currently unclear if it's even eligible. Definitely eligible. Now an Affiliate Member of SOLT and paid its levy in order for shows to be nominated. solt.co.uk/solt-venues/Ah Christ, well that knackers up the Noms next week

I would be very surprised to see it close. New cast just on, one year anniversary and a gala press night for this coming Monday. In fact I would not be one bit surprised to see an extension announced imminently.... Especially if they get an Olivier nom. Currently unclear if it's even eligible.

It's not selling all that well so...I don't think I'd be surprised to see it go after 18 months.
There's no stars in this second cast like there was with Danny Mays so like, there's no one to shove on telly for promo...

Will Myles be extended through the shows extension (Dec 7)? He is a big reason to see the show. I doubt it, most times when a Bway star transfers with a show theyโll do ~6 months. Enough to win the Olivier and then sod off
