Wild to me that the play with the most votes for revival is Shirley Valentine....we all saw how cheaply that was put together right?

It certainly wasn't beyond saving at preview 3, and I assumed it would only improve as they continued to work on it.
Looking forward to catching it again some time in the coming month or so.

This finished yesterday at the Dorfman. One of my favourite theatre experiences of all time. It has to be transferring, surely? One would hope so. It should tour, of course. When was the last time the NT toured a play? The Macbeth that Kinnear and Duff did on the Olivier toured (but it was dreadful)

It was 2.45 at the Adelphi from memory, so like, it's a longish show but it did feel like it was never going to end last night.

The decision to just use standing mics but then give the two kids head mics was WILD - Rita basically doesn't leave the stage - give her her own mic!

I'm reliably informed that whoever's doing the socials for N2N didn't see the show at the Donmar which...makes a lot of sense 👀

The curtain call vid on All That Dazzles looks enthusiastic?!? It was a fun & fabulous night, that’s why!! Glad you thought so - I did not find it fun or fabulous (I don't think anyone but Jenna and Bonnie realised that any of the lines were...funny!)

This one was Sisco Entertainment. And they should never produce another one

Also enjoyed this at the adelphi, but this was Diana The Musical levels of bad tonight (and at least Diana is camp and fun)
Literally inaudible for a good 85% of it - had I not already known the words I'd have had basically no idea.
Obsessed that the pop star forgot how a microphone worked in the final number too..
Christ, this was...bad.

Oh I quite liked it!
Also, I know we are all questioning AD as Fred, but Bart Sher hasn't let us down before, so there's evidently something there that we've just not seen yet, but I trust him and think it's going to surprise us!

Oh whoever I'd heard from got the wrong end of the stick - they'd told me cancelled at the palladium but failed to mention moving to DL.
Had basically no interest in this as it's your usual folks (Lucie Jones, Cedric, a strallen etc) but Patricia Hodge as Berthe is...excellent casting, and it's be fun to see Alex.
Fingers crossed for offers.

This is simply one of the greatest performances I've ever seen anyone give.
Sarah Snook is an absolute wizard. Effortlessly portraying each character so distinctly that you understand everything that's happening perfectly. Spectacularly in sync with everything around her, never once worrying she's going to trip or crash into anything as she's so in control.
The level of artistry on show is absolutely astonishing. How the director is not up for an Olivier is beyond me - it's staggering. It's pacy, it builds and builds and builds to a phenomenal finale and the audience leaps to their feet.
Easiest 5 stars of the year. If she doesn't win the Olivier, awards are pointless.

How are they wrong when most people here say the same and it's flooded with one star ratings above? I'm not a Sun fan at all - but they are correct no? I mean, they're absolutely wrong about Sheridan, and I also think they're wrong about the show....

You can only assume whoever's done the artwork hasn't seen the show...

I would imagine they haven't announced more cast as this is about to get pulled 👀 People are being booked for the band... Interesting. I very much heard last week this was being pulled (or at the very least 'postponed')

Not nearly as many performance noms as I was expecting though - thought Ophelia was a shoe in.

I think it's more 'David Cummings over Jamie Parker' which I again cannot forgive.

I'd actually think Elle is a lock for the win based on the performance category.

But the point is Ivo did it first so saying he's just copying Sunset is wild - if anything Sunset copied him.
