Giving that quite a lot of theatres are booked up for the next few months I doubt there will be any big news. Aside from some interesting fringe news, I could only think we may get rumour of a closure, some casting, or what might be next for the Vaudeville. But most likely to be mostly film news this week.

With starting university in London this month, I'll be hoping to see shows at the theatre a bit more often. For me, it's a been a show once a month, or at least once most months - but that has been mainly due to the cost of trains. Realistically, on a student budget, I doubt I'll be going once a month, but as someone who isn't mad about clubbing, I'll be hoping to maybe go once every other week if I can, definitely by dayseating and finding the cheapest tickets whenever possible, and finally getting the chance to see some of the fringe shows or long running musicals that I've always passed at seeing purely since there's a limited run I'd rather not miss.

I'll definitely be giving this a go too, it would be wrong to deny the opportunity to see something a bit daring in London in the midst of all the Broadway transfers

Definitely won't be booking for this straight away, but will have a look at DMT to see seat pricing layout myself. The lottery sounds interesting. I would've thought the show would be most popular with the elderly, or at least the general demographic who don't won't to look up how the lottery works and go without the guarantee of a ticket. If that presumption is correct I can't see this being the busiest lottery...which could be a good thing.

It's only running in Tel Aviv for 10 days so maybe they just thought it's a good chance for a holiday lol Also could we just discuss the fact that Rebels vastly superior understudy is going to be playing Miss Adelaide out there!! Those audience are in for an absolute treat! Yes, nice to see Lucy get another shot at the role, especially after sadly being put back in the ensemble after filling in on tour. Since Lucy also has a part in Sweet Charity, it seems like Guys and Dolls, as well as of course her other credits, has really helped her profile. It's a shame that there isn't much of market now for actresses like Lucy to develop into a West End leading lady apart from in shows and roles like Mary Poppins and Glinda in Wicked, which I think she could be a good fit for.

Surely Siubhan is a bit, well, bored of playing this role? I mean, she is great but it isn't exactly the most exciting role in the world is it. It's a lead role in a West End musical. I'm sure she's fine. Israel seems odd. Is there a big theatre scene over there? At the moment I think Siubhan lacks the name recognition to get the lead roles in West End musicals, she does OK in fringe plays, but I really wouldn't be surprised if she has stuck with it for so long as it is an income as well as an opportunity to get a role to hopefully get remembered for.

Maybe they were asked to do this at very short notice, and as far as they were aware when they left they show they had finished.

Can't wait to see this again, and with a good length of time in Birmingham I'll hopefully pop along a few times. In the case of Saigon, they had so many credible understudies in the show that it really wouldn't surprise me if they were given leading roles. Personally, I'd hope to see Marsha, Carolyn and Tanya as Gigi, Ellen and Kim, with Ethan as Thuy and maybe Hugh returning as John - but you never know as they may all have bigger things lined up...and Carolyn is booked with Wonderland.... Both Marsha and Ethan are in Aladdin. Does the tour start a year, or after their contracts end?

Yes, Cherry wants it to go to London. Since the Vaudeville is the only theatre that isn't booked out in the long term, this could be a good-sized venue.

Definitely interested in seeing the new cast, but I'd definitely opt for an understudy Phantom. What are the box office people like when it comes to buying a short notice ticket? I know they have a very strict Thursday day seat rule, but are they like the Les Mis box office when they'll just sell at full price as more often than not they will sell.

I could imagine Alfie in the Frohman/Hook role, but I just can invest in the possibility of Alfie trying to charm the audience as Barrie. I very much hope we get a new casting for that.

I don't know. I just have a feeling it won't last very long. There didn't seem to be a big buzz about it after it opened either, which usually does happen with new shows. Even Mrs Henderson Presents seemed to be more talked about No I think Motown is doing really well!! When I went it was packed out and they're doing well in terms of box office. I think this will stay here for a while - people go knowing they'll get good songs like Mamma Mia etc. It only opened in Feb so it'll be open at lot longer It's booking till October next year, so we surely won't get Finding Neverland in the Shaftesbury, especially as they are billing this show for January.

The Girls should have gone into the Noel Coward and Finding Neverland into the Phoenix. Finding Neverland in the Phoenix could run for years and years I don't think it would run for years and years in any theatre to be honest. It isn't a really well known film and people don't really know the story and some aren't interested in how Peter Pan was made. As for The Girls, it is a British musical based on a loved film. I do think the following from Barlow will help though. I'm interested to see who they've cast and if there's a name there or not... I don't think it's a story that really needs a name to it, and on that basis I will hope that if they take a name it will be a name that can do the show it's full justice, and ideally it's not a name in one of the big parts as I hope MT performers get the leads.

If they market both shows around Gary Barlow they could be strong successes. The Girls has a strong set of middle aged women supporters due to Gary and if the Neverland Twitter copy this I wouldn't be surprised if a strong set of repeat visitors develop, probably hoping to see Gary one night.

Two suggestions, probably a bit silly, but would the Vaudeville or Apollo be too small? I can't think of any mid-size houses that are going to be available unless there are some sudden closures.

Restricted view balcony from £1.2m, front stalls from £8.4m, plus £2.25 per ticket booking fee. Preview prices, of course. We'd be looking at £6m minimum for upper circle slips after opening night.

From watching that curtain call video it doesn't look like they'll need a massive stage. Harold Pinter maybe?

Are any theatres other than the Phoenix (Last Tango till very early December?) empty over December? And with The Girls in the Phoenix from January I doubt they would have time to put the production in and make some money on the production. I'm guessing it must be a regional production.

It seems to me they've made far to much fuss with the website, twitter, seemingly announcing the casting of Boe and Grammar as well as playing a song from the musical at the Queen's Birthday for this not to go ahead now.

Maybe they only mentioned the US tour as it's a Broadway audience and they are trying to sell the show to Americans, probably thinking they won't be bothered or not if it goes to London as they won't be going to buy tickets.

I'd love to see Nikki Davis-Jones as Carole, but I don't know how heavily she's damaged her voice during the Wicked tour and if she'll ever be able to perform again. Hasn't Rachel Tucker auditioned for the Broadway production or North American tour? Maybe she could take over in February? I think she auditioned for the tour. Yep, would like to see her play it over here, but I remember in an interview she said she'd like to stay in New York, albeit before her coming to do Wicked again was announced. And whilst it would be a nice thought for her to take over, could Cassidy realistically stay till Februray and total about 14 months in the role.

I wonder what will happy with the new cast. The music of Carole King seems to be the 'star attraction' and simple theatre casting in the four leads hasn't done the show any harm. I don't know who is leaving, but supposing the leads do go as Lorna, Ian and Alan have been with the show for nearly 18 months, I wouldn't object to Vivien Carter taking over as Cynthia and Joanna Woodward as Carole. They've been with the show long enough to know the parts and I've heard great things about both of them.

I have had the odd look at the Aldwych website. The seat plans show good sales, but not anything spectacular. I would estimate 75%+ capacity. For a show that's over a year old I'd say that's pretty good going, I agree this is disguised by the offers, and maybe Nederlander think it's a safer bet to agree to extend this whilst it continues to tick over than put in a new show that may have less success.

I'd love to see Rachelle Ann Go as Elphaba. How much longer is she going to stay at Les Mis? December I think.

I think Alice has done enough in London to gain enough experience to finally get a leading part, and by bring stand by hopefully she could develop her interpretation and be on top form if she gets the full time role.
