There is still a warning on ATG for seats at the back of the dress circle for restricted view of elevated scenes

This situ isn’t unique to theatre though. Companies of all types will take liberties if they can get away with it.. P&O Ferries for example - sacked their workforce by Zoom and hired cheap foreign Labour to replace them the following day. Terrible. As for ranting or going crazy, Summer Strallen’s bf is ranting a fair bit in her live stream, using the F bomb and C bomb multiple times. Then he asks the viewers to let him know if they know who made the decision so that he can “make their life difficult for a while”. Back off Danny, you’re not doing anybody any favours behaving like that, least of all Summer. I agree entirely. His participation felt really inadvisable. She was calm and collected and he was ranting and swearing. Never heard of him before and don’t care to again. He was the winner of the grease programme on itv for the grease revival at the Piccadilly

Based on the tweet from the official Mary Poppind account, it gives the impression it may be a temporary replacement and Charlie comes back after Chichester

I just way the curtain call on YouTube - do you they sing a version of Finding Wonderland (from the Wonderland tour Kerry Ellis did) but re-branded as Pantoland?

The Apprentice is on with Amy Anzel as a candidate. Amy produced the musical version of Happy Days and featured on The Sound of Musicals on Channel 4 about 8 years ago

It’s not been that long since it was in at the Savoy is it? And a national tour of that same production. And it was done by The Crucible Christmas’19. Do people really need to see another revival of this so soon? Yes, the Savoy was Christmas 2015 and transferred to the Phoenix through to August 2016 with a tour of the same production running at the same time in 2016

Why is Nikolai no longer credited as the director? It appears to be basically the same production, no?🤔 On the official website he is “original director”, so I assume Ian Talbot (director) has made some changes but not overhauled.

Did Sutton miss any of her shows? Or have either of Felicity or Robert been off, don’t think I’ve seen any reports on their understudies.

I don’t see a point in bringing any of the US cast over here. It’s not somebody from the Broadway cast. It’s someone new Have they ever performed in the West End before?

I see the Sun and Daily Mail have written up on this, not just the more well known theatre websites.

I don’t want to start anything at all. I have seen quite a few comments about it (from general public and industry professionals) all of which were a roll of the eye comment. I find it quite frustrating people seem to assume a lot of information at the moment at face value on Twitter at the moment without sufficient integration to establish whether such views/criticism is valid. Politics should never enter into casting. Apologies if my first post was badly worded

Negative perspective circulating on Twitter regarding this because Laura is apparently a registered Republican. Zak97 Why put that down. It was only 1 comment mentioning she was a republican. You are starting something that is not there. I would not call that negative perspective unless you want to start it. Leave politics out of something. I don’t want to start anything at all. Nice that the covers are listed on the website. Interesting there are only seemingly first covers. Hopefully won’t be an occasion where both Sutton and Felicity are off if that’s the case.

The holding company, of which he is a director, owns the shares in the production company. He is the co-producer of Phantom, and always has been. Thanks, that makes sense to me now.

Seems to be missing a direct quote where he says he isn't the producer... although of course technically he isn't, his company is a co-producer which isn't the same thing at all. I suspect ALW wanted to keep the orchestra, Cameron didn't. If they were sharing the rights when Cameron probably went "ditch them or we aren't reopening" and faced with the choice between a reduced phantom and no phantom he picked the lesser of two evils. Well, the NYT is a fairly trustworthy source, so if they say "ALW says he is not the producer", then I'd wager that's what ALW said on the phone. Which of course contradicts his own website: "He is the co-producer of Cats and The Phantom of the Opera" (from here: lwtheatres.co.uk/andrew-lloyd-webber/ ) If we want to get really technical, then Cameron Mackintosh isn't the co-producer either but rather Cameron Mackintosh Limited. But we can all see through the corporate veil...ALW is the co-producer of Phantom and always has been. It really doesn't do him any favours to keep lying like this. Looking on Companies House, ALW isn’t listed as a director of either Really Useful Group Limited nor LW Theatres. So unless I’ve missed him, he is not a producer assuming those are the producing companies.

Faye Tozer was good in The Tailor Made Man (Arts) similar character to Lina, so yes, can see her do this role! Faye played the part on the previous tour too

Anyone knows pricing for this based on the pre-sale? I've booked the side of the front-row of the second preview for £95. Centre of the front row is £190. Most central seats in the stalls are £145, side stalls £95. Only seats less than £95 in the entire stalls are the rear two rows which are £59.50. Royal Circle is all £95 or £145 excluding the back row which is £75. Grand Circle is £75 front and centre, £59.50 to the sides and centrally further back, the last few rows get progressively cheaper down to £29.50 at the very back. All of the above are prices for the second preview. Crazy to think 7 years ago £75 would get a good stalls seat, and now just a good grand circle seat.

I think it's coming back! ! ! Nicola Roberts was on BBC 5 Live with Nihal Arthanayake today and at the end of the segment he said "...before the news we heard from Nicola Roberts, singer/songwriter, former Girls Aloud member who is now rehearsing for a starring role in the musical City of Angels..." 😱 You mean the theatre fan that also posted the news in this thread x'D Are these tweets also a hint, both were involved in the production.

The SW and tour runs are separate beasts, with partially different casts. Has there been a cast announcement? The Sadler's Wells website only names Adam Cooper & I'd like to know the rest of the leads at least before deciding whether to go - especially as when I saw it in the WE Cooper was off (& it was one of the few occasions where I've found an understudy unsatisfactory) so I wouldn't have 100% confidence he'd be on if I tried seeing it this summer! I had a theory at least last year Charlotte Gooch was going to be in the cast as she made a ‘would have been opening night’ tweet on what would have been the SITR opening which was then responded to by Andrew Wright referring to the eventual future opening

The children will also be played by puppets. They could cut Petula Clark entirely which would be a big saving AND benefit the show. There was a video interview on YouTube recently with Petula. She has been asked back but at the time was weighing up her options on another stint.

New chandelier is up. At least the frame of it unless Cameron is resorting to plastic Drury Lane is it not?
