Genuine question, if the theatre/producer allows photos of the set/show cloth to be taken, is there any real issue in sharing links to them? I entirely agree though when it comes to unauthorised photos or footage taken during a performance.

She also wears flip flops rather than heels, ensuring her feet are flat on the ground!

I noticed that Sarah McNicholas has changed her bio on Twitter and Instagram from "curry loving Welsh actress" to simply "curry lover". poor girl. So not only is she no longer an actress, she's also no longer Welsh.

I really didn't enjoy Christian's portrayal of the Engineer.
Yeah his voice is fine, but I didn't get any charisma, any stage presence from him.
He's fine, but Red and especially Jon Jon were vastly superiour.

I'm sure that as soon as there is any news at all, or even a whiff of a rumour, it'll be posted here.

I think this could happen as a musical but not with Bette. She was on over 250k A WEEK! Maths wouldn’t work out over here for her as the lead. Someone else possibly. The producers could afford to pay Bette £250k a week, plus Marylebone/Mayfair apartment and car/driver. If the average ticket cost £200 and the London Palladium seats 2200, then this can gross potentially £3.5m a week. Some of the New York set can be used in the London Palladium, such as Horace Vandergelder hardware shop, the stagecoach, train and the grand staircase can all come over. Hello Dolly with Bette will break box office records and Bette will raise the roof. let's not get carried away...I think an average ticket cost of £200 is pushing it. Top price of £200? Yes, absolutely. Average price? No way. In 2016, the average ticket price in the West End was £44.99 (source, SOLT). If Hello Dolly at the Palladium happens it will be priced high, but not at the levels it is in New York.

Linzi Hateley posted on Twitter this afternoon that she was having her first sing through of one of her favourite musicals - a bucket list part - in an iconic show (non-West End). The replies seem to suggest it's Blood Brothers.
I've not seen Blood Brothers in about 10 years, but if Linzi is the new Mrs Johnstone, I will definitely make an effort to catch the tour.
now that would be exciting! If so I would expect Kenwright to cast someone famous (ish) as the Narrator.

I saw that Hamilton posted the audition call on Instagram which got me wondering...is it up to the cast member whether they want to stay on for another year and then only the roles of the people leaving get filled? Or do you essentially have to 're-audition' for your own role? ultimately it's up to the producers. The performers will all be on a one year contract (unlike some Broadway shows which have open ended deals) and when it comes to re-casting the producers will consider a number of factors. How happy are they with the actors' performance on stage, their conduct off stage, their attendance and sick record. Is there another performer they would like to take the role? Of course the opinion of the incumbent performer is taken into account, and if they themselves decide they want to leave, the producers cannot block that, but it is the producer who decides who stays. Often they will audition for all roles just to scope the market and see who else is out there, but existing cast members would typically be asked to re-audition.

Does anyone have an idea of when the cast will be leaving? Coming in December and would love to see Rachelle and Rachel, but thinking I may be a little late. I believe cast change is 24th November. There's been no announcement, but I'm sure someone on here mentioned it a while back.

I never saw the original production, but I thought the last tour was absolutely stunning. In terms of value for money and seeing where your ticket price has gone I think it's one of the best tours of recent years.
If that was scaled down, the original must have been really quite something.
All that said, I still would kill to see this at the Dominion. Nice big stage, perfect for Step In Time, and so much flying space...ooft!
Seeing this for the first time at Brum Hipp, seeing Mary soar above the stalls and disappear through a hole in the ceiling...genuinely a goosebump moment for me and a theatrical highlight that I don't think I'll ever forget.

July 2019 cast change will be a big one it seems. I doubt Alice would stay for a fourth year, Sophie will probably go. Glinda is her dream role but I don’t think she’ll want to play her forever, Rosa will probably go because she’s going into her 3rd contract and Jack, Melanie and Andy will probably leave after 2 contracts. You clearly didn’t live through the Savannah and Katie R/J years... 2 contracts is nothing... felt more like 2 lifetimes!

It will be this cast because the previous one (Madalena Alberto, Gian Marco Schiaretti et al) have done their final performance. It’s a bit of a weird cast change though. The only changes are the 3 leads and 2 ensemble members. So can I assume I will be able to see Lucy and Glenn? subject to illness, yes.

Also, I don't know if anyone else realised, but Charlotte Jaconelli (stoner chick and understudy Martha) came 2nd on Britain's Got Talent in 2012 as half of Jonathan and Charlotte!

I wonder how desperate/urgent the refurb is. If 42nd Street continues to perform well and make a lot of money for everyone involved, and RUG decide they do want Frozen in there, would they be willing to put back the refurb in order to maximise revenues from 42nd St. but also not miss out on the money printing machine that Frozen is inevitably going to be.
