Oh wow, so many!
Wicked OBC Into The Woods OBC Hamilton OBC
Spring Awakening before it closed and won all the Oliviers that year, Ben Platt as Evan Hansen, Julie Andrews in My Fair Lady and the recent production of Heathers at The Other Palace/Haymarket (I'm aware there are rumours of it coming back at some point but I really wish I'd seen that cast!)

I’m taking my mum too! And my dad, who isn’t a musicals fan at all and I can’t wait to see his reaction to this...
We got back of the stalls at Sunderland Empire for £48, bit pricey for my liking but at least we’re there.

Apologies I know this has been mentioned already but is there an official date for when KMP finishes her run in this?

Not thrilled by this. I paid an arm and a leg to watch Alfie Boe ‘act’ in the Broadway production a few years ago and that was three hours I’ll never get back. Having said that though, he may be better in a concert version!

I was pleasantly surprised by this, and enjoyed it way more than I thought I would (having seen the recent UK tour I didn't think anything could compare!)
Jordan Fisher was the star, beautiful voice and acting. He will go far!
Didn't think Valentina was that bad - yes Today 4 U was weak but she was pretty cute throughout. Collins was brilliant.
Vanessa Hudgens was the biggest surprise, she was so funny and I had no idea she had that much of a powerful voice.
Mimi looked and sounded great, thought she could have done a lot more acting in the second half, Roger was hot and sounded so much like Adam Pascal (on a side note, I thought it was really sweet that AP sat at the back of the stage with him at the end whilst the other original cast members were at the front so he didn't feel left out!)
Keala Settle is a powerhouse, I cried during the finale and when the original cast sang. Loved it. Also did I see they are releasing a soundtrack with this cast?

Jumping on the Joseph bandwagon as after seeing a touring production at Ipswich Regent I was hooked and listened to lots of soundtracks after that, though didn't see my first West End show (Wicked) until I was 16 and haven't looked back since.
On a side note, when I was about 3 or 4 my dad took me to watch my mum in a recording session of A Chorus Line when she was working as a session singer for BBC Radio 2 and they sung One as a full ensemble with a big band. It's one of my earliest memories, and my dad said my jaw was on the floor by the end of it!

I thought it was just lovely, a real fresh take on this beloved character and the story that went with it.
Emily was a practically perfect Mary Poppins but Lin stole it for me - he was charming and it was nice to see a fun side of him.
Go see it!

This was unbelievable this afternoon, it’s one of my favourite Sondheims and I’d wanted to see a production of it for so long.
The set was extraordinary, I liked how the couples suddenly appeared out of the darkness. Band, lights and sound were great too.
Rosalie was a stunning Bobbie, such a pure, bold performance. Jonathan Bailey is a star and the rest of the ensemble were terrific. Patti is irreplaceable, and on a personal note it was so lovely for my mum who has wanted to see her on stage for years watch her in awe (although we were a little disappointed she didn’t throw her drink over the front row at the end of Ladies Who Lunch, maybe she saves that for special occasions?!)
I also enjoyed the set changes, the priest, Richard Fleeshman’s body, Tick Tock and Being Alive. I haven’t left the theatre feeling this overwhelmed in a long time.
Take tissues, turn off your phones and GO!

Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys is very vocally demanding, after John Lloyd Young knackered his voice in the original Broadway production they had to schedule in alternatives for the other companies.
Agree about Rose in Gypsy, I only saw the recent production with Imelda Staunton but what she did 8 times a week was astonishing. Also Billy Elliott, kids have a lot of energy but the boys playing Billy must have drank a lot of Sunny D!

Caught the tour in Sunderland tonight and it was excellent (even worth the eye-watering ticket price I begrudgingly paid for the upper circle!)
The last couple of times I’d seen it (both on tour and in London) the show had felt a little stale, but this was fresh, tight and remarkably good. The West End show has a habit of recycling Elphabas and I hadn’t realised until now that it was Nikki Bentley in the role tonight - what a belt! Helen Woolf was excellent too, stunning vocals and very funny!

I think CHF is naturally beautiful inside and out, and VERY talented. She doesn't deserve the stick she gets online.
I had a look on that Guru Gossip site and my god, the trolls on there!!

She's now tweeted about a book which is being published by someone which apparently includes details of a previous relationship she was in. Poor Carrie, looks like she's having a bad week.

I can’t believe some of the trolling the Titanic cast are getting on Twitter. Football fans are vile.

When I was a student I was curious to see The King's Speech on stage having loved the film but it didn't interest any of my friends so I went to see it on my own at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle. I was sitting next to a lovely elderly man who was astounded someone so young would be attending this kind of theatre ("don't you want to see Mamma Mia?") so I mentioned I was studying theatre and was keen to see as much as possible. We had a nice chat afterwards during the interval.

People who share their entire lives on Facebook in general - checking in everywhere they go, five statuses a day etc... is there really any need for it?

I don't know if this is unpopular, but pushchairs. Mainly when parents are in groups with say three pushchairs, walking in a line, slow as anything who then proceed to get arsey if you ask them to haul ass politely. Agreed - scary mothers who come hurtling towards you on four wheels and will not stop. I'm surprised I've still got toes left the amount of times they have been run over by pushchairs. Someone once barged in front of me in a queue in Starbucks 'because she had a pushchair', naturally I did the usual British thing and tutted at her!

My favourite guilty-pleasure show. I love the Randy and Kleinfeld episodes but the Atlanta episodes are just brilliant (Lori is like the auntie I never had).

Whilst we're on the topic of different leads, does anybody else have performers that you didn't get to see, and in hindsight would have absolutely loved to see and are gutted that you never did? For me, it's Jennifer DiNoia as Elphaba. I was living in France when she had her West End stint, and with only limited trips back home I couldn't justify a trip to Wicked. From listening to clips of her on YouTube, she sounds like an absolute powerhouse, giving 110% at every performance. Did anyone see her in the role and have any reviews of her performance? For a Glinda it's Dianna Pilkington. I never saw her because I just wasn't into theatre when she was in the show. It wasn't until late 2010 when I made my first ever trip to the West End and was treated to the sublime pairing of Nikki and Louise. Listening to Diane on YouTube didn't make me feel like I was devastated to miss her, like in the case of Jenny, but after seeing her in Young Frankenstein and realising how naturally hilarious she is and how strong her voice is, I could just tell that she would have been a fab Glinda, and it was a shame that I missed her. Anybody else have any thoughts to share? I would have loved to have seen Idina (obvs) and Kerry Ellis. Rachael Tucker was my favourite Elphaba, followed closely by Jacqueline Hughes on the tour a few years ago. Dianne was my first Glinda, she was fabulous! I really didn't rate Louise Dearman in the role but I was a fan again after seeing her as Adelaide in the recent Guys & Dolls tour, what a part!

Saw the matinee today and it was phenomenal. The set and projections did it for me, they were so slick and clever. Some really great performances from everyone and it’s so refreshing to see a tight ensemble where each actor gets their own standout moment. It’s got a great message and I really hope it gets the same recognition on tour that it does here in Newcastle, they really deserve it.
Go and see it!
