Saw again last night and I am in total awe!
The detail, the set design, the performances, each and every one. This is sheer perfection. An utter joy!
I can’t see it again and so I consoled myself by buying up the merchandise shop.
Now I’m off to marry Jonny Bailey.

Going on Monday. I shall be erect at the back of the Royal Circle for the entire occasion! So which of the actors do you fancy?

I can’t wait for this. My first ever play was Kes at the Royal Exchange. Manchester is my home city ❤️ With Andrew Garfield as the boy. I remember that as a great production!

Thanks, folks. I’ve played it safe and gone for row D, mainly because my dad has legroom issues.

Planning to book for this and am looking at front row, which is described as limited legroom and viewing restrictions... can anyone who has been to the Kiln advise on how severe the legroom and view is from front row? Thanks in advance.

So the end two seats in the first few rows of the stalls.... how extreme is the viewing angle and is it worth saving £20 each to sit there? Thanks in advance!

This show looks absolutely atrocious. I am hoping that it is a case of it being so bad that it’s so good. It was obviously made to tour and visit the places in the country where this low level crap will appeal; Bradford, Sunderland, Southend; the real classy places of these British Isles. Because people from those places are obviously so inferior to your good self...

Did the Times review it or is this show below them? 2*

Had my refund for this today. Lost £20 in fees. Any way of claiming this back or is it just lost money?

Restricted view dress circle seats £125
It’s been so saddening to watch the meteoric rise in ticket prices over the last ten years or so.

*tiptoes in* MADE IN DAGENHAM was dire. *tiptoes out* The audience steadfastly refusing to "Stand Up" despite repeated pleading from the cast was a damn site funnier than the actual onstage antics. I've never seen a cast read an audience so wrong, surely they had factored in some backup if the punters refused to stand but no, no they hadnt and poor old former Bond Girl Gemma Arterton looked daft making the gestures to a stoney faced crowd. Erm... I don’t think it was the intention that the audience had to *literally* stand up at all... Just like when they talk of the barricade in Les Mis, they don’t actually expect the audience to smash up their seats and pile them on top of each other.

If anyone wants Julie Andrews in a movie this Christmas, she’s in Aquaman! I would have loved her back as Mary Poppins never mind a cameo! She wouldn’t have been as good as Blunt! Just out of the cinema. What a treat it all was!

Indeed, Jonny Boy - I just picked up my £125 ticket for £30. I echo Theatremonkey's post - BOOK! Go and see this marvellous production! I think it is better, tighter (cast-wise) and physically more expansive than last year. The first 10 mins are fixed, and the issues of the staging expanding then contracting are resolved, with smoother transitions across the cross of the whole stage. For me, there was much more snow when I saw it last week than last year, so I'll be keen to see how it is tonight. I liked Rhys Ifans a lot, but I prefer Stephen Tomkinson's portrayal, as there is more internal wrangling going on, slightly less anger and mania, and certainly less spitting. Plus, I totally believed his transition and unbridled joy. I'm delighted to be going again tonight (and, indeed, next Thursday). Just seen this post and damn! I do believe I may have been sitting next to you last night! Stage seating Row L?

Booked for tonight as a ticket came up last night for £65 down from £125. Should have held off as now there are some cracking singles for £30! Dynamic pricing to shift the seats! Go go go!

Well at the risk of sounding like Scrooge what’s the deal with restricted view being on sale for £125?!
I know this debate has been done to death but has anything other than theatre seats inflated in price so quickly over so short a time?!

£169.50 for circle seats is the only option for the date I want for this. What on earth? Theatre ticket pricing has gone insane in recent years.

Interesting. Thanks!
Most of the press quotes used in advertising are from the American press. That kind of puts me off.
Just looked back and it received a smattering of 3s and 4s over here.

Will probably see this but have never been excited enough to make the trip to London. Is it worth £50? The UK press reviews were so mediocre, not that that alone is something to go off.

Vanessa Redgrave off on Saturday when I saw it. The two parts just flew by. Acting all round excellent. Wasn’t as moved as I expected to be - perhaps my expectations were too high - but it was an incredible piece of theatre. The guy who was with Eric ( name escapes me ) reminded me of Darren Criss in Assasination of Gianni Versace.

Been waiting till today to get last minute tickets for Let it Be at the Manchester Opera House. I’ve been keeping an eye on the seating plan day by day and it remained fairly static but then suddenly the whole back half of the stalls has disappeared in one fell swoop! And the front of the circle! What’s going on? Nobody has bought all these surely. There have been no recent ticket offers so perhaps it’s a papering company??

I don't know that they would, but they've always been very friendly and helpful when I've needed to call them, so it couldn't hurt to ask? I tried but no luck! Fair enough, I suppose, seeing as refunding the difference would still be classed as a refund of sorts. I should have been braver and held off buying second row. By the sounds of it, though, I’ll get £140 worth of theatre

Delfont does have an exchange policy but surely they wouldn’t exchange for a cheaper seat and refund the difference?

Just noticed they have released the front row tickets for dates in November. 25pounds. Happy shopping. Damn! I held off for so long and then booked second row as tickets near the front started dwindling. Could have saved a lot by waiting, but hey ho.

So will Row B go on sale online for later in the run or have these now been confirmed as day seats?

Really annoyed I didn't book for this now. I thought it had a longer run so held off, now it's completely sold out except for a few Wed matinee tickets. Keep checking the website. I managed to snag my Saturday night tickets after the date had sold out

There were adverts and leaflets last night for this. I don’t get it. Is the show going ahead or not? If they don’t have funds for it, how can they ask for ticket money? And if you donate to the crowdfunder thing, and they don’t get enough, is your money lost or do you get it back?

Well this brought the house down last night. Loved it and a full standing ovation at the end. Act 1 closer the best moment, but lots of humour and emotion throughout. It deserves a wider audience at some point. Met the cast at the end (all lovely) and one seemed fairly confident that the show will get another run ‘somewhere’.
Odd programme situation, in that I paid £4 at the beginning but in the interval, there was a box of them on a table and people were just taking them?!
And the heat! I had a long-sleeved shirt on and it was way too hot.
