Does anyone know if the walk from the Exchange to Manchester Piccadilly station is doable in 15/20 mins?? I'm thinking I'm going to have to miss the last 10 minutes of the show to catch a 22:28 train. It’s doable in 15/20 but it’ll have to be a brisk walk!!

When I read the book a year or so ago, I remember finishing it and weeping.
The film doesn’t create such intense emotion, but does a jolly good job. Gorgeously filmed and two great performances. The end credits sequence is astonishing.
Currently listening to the brill soundtrack on Spotify.

Just back from the evening performance!
Can understand why they now have the numbered token system but it took me by surprise as was hoping to get to the front of the queue arriving about 7. You must have to get there very early to get first pick of the seats. Maybe a ploy to boost food and drink sales?
Anyway... the show itself was amazing! I’d been listening to the soundtrack for a few days so was familiar with the songs. The cast here is very strong indeed and the staging simple but effective. The score reminds me of Sondheim in places. Such beauty when the actors' voices overlap and intertwine. Gorgeous.
Third visit to this amazing little place. Saw Parade twice. Gutted I missed Yank!
Bit mean of Ann Treneman to comment negatively on the costumes. They didn’t strike me as being particularly cheap!

I sat centre front row booked through official website. Surely one of the biggest bargains of the West End right now for a show of this type.

The best scene was the Brick/Big Daddy scene, so god know why they decided to ruin it by having annoying ginger kids interrupt things every 2 minutes And the 'ginger' is relevant because...?

And I overheard one of the actors at the stage door saying to an autograph hunter: "Monday and Tuesday at Abbey Road," so looks like a soundtrack is on the way!! Can't think of any other question asked to elicit this response "When are you next working as a lollipop operative?" Crap. Never thought of that.

Saw tonight and thought it was glorious. Shirley Henderson stonkingly good but matched by a fine cast. Even the 'uplifting' tracks achingly sad to watch, knowing the sadness, loneliness and desperation behind the characters. And I overheard one of the actors at the stage door saying to an autograph hunter: "Monday and Tuesday at Abbey Road," so looks like a soundtrack is on the way!! Can't think of any other question asked to elicit this response

I'm looking forward to seeing this next month. It's intriguing that some think Miller is laughably bad while other critics say she is sensational and nails the part!

Congrats. Where was your seat. Seat was F5, great view. The shower is on stage left, so people sitting on that side of the audience and close to the stage (as I was) would possibly get a better view. However, he takes his clothes off on more than one occasion, so I think everybody gets a chance to see whatever they want. Is the stage really high? I could only book front row to sit in stalls.

Can you select your own seats for this online? Or is it just type in a number and see what you're offered?

Theatremonkey website shows day seats as being rows B and C but C is on sale for full price??
Wondering whether to plump for front stalls at full price or risk day-seating? Is the day-seating as crazy as Jerusalem was?!

Okay, so I got bored in Act 2, apart from an entertaining speech by DT.
Really can't see why this is being revived or why DT chose it.
2.5 out of 5, including half for seeing the wonderful star of Fleabag in the audience.

Interval of Press Night. Seen Richard Wilson, Rupert Graves, Jonathan Ross and Phoebe Waller Bridge.
Entertaining enough but all rather pointless. No depth at all but I can't say I'm bored.
Tenner nest seat. I'd be horrified if I'd paid £100+ for this.

Time flew by for me tonight. What a thought-provoking piece. Feels very strong to me already. I was not at all prepared for Sophie Okonedo's final entrance. Given everything that had come before it, I found it utterly shocking and horrifyingly moving. Lots of laughter - most justified, but some people seemed to find too much near the end funny. Yes, it's loaded with deliciously dark humour but I'll remember this as being like a Greek tragedy. Loved it.

Booked Stalls B19-20 and C20-21 as total price half that of four full price seats. Should I be concerned about restricted view from these seats??

Tracy Ann O good in this but my god what a bore the whole thing is. The second half is slightly better but it's all so pointless. And the plop-tic sound effects the actors make to simulate table tennis is the most infuriating thing I've ever witnessed in a theatre.

On paper this had everything going for it but my experience was of a good play and nothing more. This was likely due to the seats we had. Second row of the circle is not good for this production. Oh my goodness it feels so far away!
It's a gloomy set - understandably - and you can't really see facial expressions from the front of the circle. For me this is a huge problem. This is an intense intimate play and losing facial acting loses 50% of the play or more. I suppose this can't be a criticism of the production, more the seats.
Sound quality is not good. Helen McCrory I could hear every word. The judge husband however... No projection at all! I understand he's quiet and clipped but there are people who've paid to hear you! I remembered him from The Late Middle Classes also opposite HM. Same projection issues there too. Lots of audience coughing didn't help either tonight.
Set lovely. Reminded me of Skylight but felt too big.
Some great acting and several electrifying moments - when Freddie slams the shilling on the table there's a gasp from the audience.
I guess I was just let down by feeling so distant from the stage and you wouldn't necessarily think the front of a circle would feel remote. Worth seeing up close or on screen but far back you only really have the dialogue to go off. If you can hear it.

Saw tonight. Huge cheer when SS announced as playing FB. Super performance in a musical that isn't terribly substantial. SS shone much of the time, People a stand-out for me over the Act One finale. Clearly wowed by the standing ovation at the end. Came out after about an hour and spent a great deal of time signing and having pics. Apologetic after taking so long to come out. Really lovely performer and I'm so happy she's back on track. Glad I upgraded seats to nearer the front as this is a performance that benefits from seeing facial expressions, although £70 a tad steep, even if it was a reduction from the £125 they were originally. FG nowhere near the musical Gypsy is and IS beats SS for the performance but it's still a lovely tour de force and the switch from comedy to emotion is beautifully done. Sorry for the clipped sentences. Using phone!

A live recording of this latest production EXISTS! You're kidding me.... Where? The director said so on Twitter! I asked him if it was to be released. He didn't reply but liked the tweet... so who knows if it will see the light of day for us?

Thanks, freckles. Infinitely more helpful than Sonnyjim's post above. I can't wait to give him some help/advice when he needs it (or perhaps even when he doesn't.) I can't wait to receive that help/advice! And I didn't even get chance to extend that joke to the show starting before the upgraded seats were properly filled... Seriously, I am so looking forward to this in July. I was obsessed with the film as a child. I can imagine how moving this will be.
