There should now be a moratorium on newsstands and flower festooned swings for at least five years.
Having just watched the couples dance, I'm not sure we then needed an immediate slow-motion replay.
Nina was, for me, the revelation of the night.

Are we all ready? A 2 hours 20 minute show for about 45 minutes of dancing. I have snacks, and may find myself turning to drink sooner rather than later.
It's Claud I feel really sorry for. She's already done a three hour show on the wireless!

At the Wolverhampton Grand, where School of Rock has been this week, they have 'listening only' seats. No word of a lie. And they want an extra £4 off you in booking fees. And you have to buy two of the damned things so as not to leave a single seat.
They're a bargain £19.50 each; the restricted view seats are £32.50, plus booking fee.

Strike my earlier post about Friday matinees. And booking until 4 June, not the 5th. Seems I made the mistake of believing the ATG website. When will I learn?

Is it the daughter of Paul Raymond? Granddaughter. His daughter predeceased him.

Jamie Bogyo is as much Hungarian as he is American. Plus he was at RADA for as long as people go to RADA for. The very first line on his profile is literally about his right to work in the UK.

You started page 500, alece10. I wonder if you get a certificate or summat? Today, on my tour of towns beginning with H, I'm in 'ull. With the sun shining on the 'umber, it's just like being in Halkidiki!

This may be another one for you firefingers, so I apologise if you feel like you're the only one currently doing any work. Touring the Lawrence Batley Theatre yesterday, our quide said something along the lines of the auditorium having an acoustic rating of 96. (She may have used a percentage.) If that's out of 100, I presume it must be very good, but what does it mean in layman's terms?

I had a lovely day, thank you, david. Methodist chapel on the outside, high-tech theatre on the inside. I bet most theatres in London's glittering West End don't have big screws under the stalls! The BBC had been forecasting heavy rain, so obviously it was sunny all day. Even the trains were on time. If I weren't busy, I'd go back on Saturday. One of the nearby bars is advertising a PA from The Cheeky Girls for freshers' week. Never let it be said we don't get the big stars in Yorkshire!

Some places quite well, others like Stockton... not so much. That is mental. Stockton?! Why Stockton? Someone must know someone. I've worked there and... the Stockton Globe I'm guessing? Seriously? 4 weeks at Manchester Opera House then Stockton?! How long have you worked in showbiz? The Stockton Globe only re-opened on 7 September...47 years after its last live performance! BooH will be its first week long engagement, and that isn't until February. Plenty of time yet.

I'm off to Huddersfield today, along one of the finest railway lines in all England, for a Heritage Open Days tour of the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

From what is still 'live' on t'internet, the tour would have started in late August in Dublin, then at The Lowry this week and next, followed by Southampton and Edinburgh.

This is gorgeous! Is anyone aware of any recordings of ‘Rainbow Connection’ other than Kermit or Babs & Kermit? I wonder where that performance was? It might just be my tiny screen but quite a few of the performers behind him look to be Asian. Or Mr Incredible. Is this from his time as a member of the Yale University Whiffenpoofs? www.rada.ac.uk/profiles/jamie-bogyo/www.whiffenpoofs.com/

It wouldn't do to be late for my own premiere, so I've just arrived at the world-famous Crucible Theatre. There's a pink carpet, and everything!
BBC Radio Sheffield has a two hour special later this afternoon, available on all good platforms. My good friend Paulette goes live from 5. She'll probably want to talk to me, in some depth, about *that* shirt. 🙂

I spend my Sunday mornings picking up litter. I am also completely opposed to vaccine passports. What does that make me? I don't give a toss if the person sitting next to me in a theatre has had two jabs, one or none. It's none of my business.
And for the record, the legal age to drink alcohol in this country is just five, which suggest that it's almost always better to trust people, without compulsion or coercion, to do the right thing.

Who knew that breasts are so unhygienic? It's a wonder most of us make it out of nappies! All those midwives and health visitors must have been wrong all these years.
I'm afraid anyone looking forward to a cashless society has absolutely no idea how real people live their lives. For example, when I was in a shop on Saturday, waiting to pay my £1.79 in cash, the man in front was using the Paypoint terminal, which in that particular shop has to be done with cash. Even if he'd gone next door to the Post Office and paid by debit card, the cashiers seem to take cash from one draw and put it in another.

There's a Travelzoo offer for RoA in Liverpool, saving, they claim, up to 42%.
Use promo code: TZOO
Whether that makes it a bargain, or beats any other offers, I don't know.

This is becoming spooky, FrontroverPaul. The two most recent occasions I've been delayed in West Yorkshire were at Wakefield, while we waited for drunk football supporters to be removed by the police, and at Fitzwilliam. In the case of the former, I too had been to the Theatre Royal. It's not so long ago that the line was blocked at Fitzwilliam by a farm tractor and trailer, so it could have been worse! I'm pleased you enjoyed Oklahoma! though. I would feel guilty if you hadn't.
