Well you know what George Bernard Shaw used to say, our david, when he wasn't writing the plays wot he wrote. "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing."

Gabrielle Brooks was one of the ensemble in the original production of Everybody's Talking About Jamie, then returned to the world-famous Crucible Theatre to play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, rather than reprise her role on Shaftesbury Avenue.
It's good to read that she's now playing a leading lady, to some acclaim, right next door.

Not a common or garden bus service, anita, but a special bus service. That's because you're such a special person. 🙂

If the arrangement with Hillsong is to continue, any moveable walls would have to be very moveable. Must be a nice earner...for both sides.
(We had a moveable wall at school between the hall and canteen. I say wall, but it was actually more like a giant version of the concertina things nans have for the pantry.)

The final week at Leeds, 4 to 9 January, has been cancelled, due to 'circumstances beyond our control'.

Seems bizarre now, but until relatively recently this was recognised, by Guinness World Records no less, as having the highest sales per square foot of any store on Earth. (A title it lost, I think, to Richer Sounds at London Bridge.)
Personally, I would prefer a compromise that retains at least the facade of the Art Deco corner block.

There is a-lot of dancing within the show. With a mix of street and hip hop styles, for a first night was really slick and worked really well with the score. Just think of the panic backstage when word got around that dance dynamo david was in da house. 😁 I have a very vague recollection that Sinitta was in a production of this at the world-famous Crucible Theatre, alongside Derek Griffiths from Play School. I'm sure there used to be a cast photo in one of the display cases.

Just imagine if both Fletcher siblings find themselves eliminated within days of each other.

So you were using the American definition all along, BurlyBeaR? My bad! Bit of a stretch, though, to describe a turd as being part of an animal.

Cardiff last week and Sheffield this. I always like to see how many trucks arrive, and this is a three-er, plus a specialist flying contractor.
Evenings have sold quite well, with even the balcony open at some performances. The two mid-week matinees less so.

Calm down. It was obviously a joke. hannechalk has seen Blood Brothers like a thousand times. She knows more about the production than Willy Russell.

Along with Aria, the tour is co-produced by Music and Lyrics, which is that consortium of receiving houses. I don't think HQ/Trafalgar is a member, so in that respect the New Theatre doesn't have skin in the game.

It's difficult to tell from a 11 second clip filmed in the circle, but the stage and stalls don't seem to be exactly like Baz described them.

I think the appeal of Dan Walker is that even though he's on TV and earns lots of £££s, he's perceived as just an ordinary bloke...which he largely is.
He lives in an ordinary suburb in an ordinary city; goes on ordinary dog walks in an ordinary park; has ordinary friends; goes on ordinary holidays in East Yorkshire; eats in ordinary restaurants...all shared with his ordinary followers on social media.
