Hi all, I wanted to drop you a few words about myself and my plans for 2017. My name is Michal, originally from Poznan, Poland but living in Edinburgh since 2012. I'm not an artist or a theatre professional, just a theatre lover (especially musical theatre). Since I like musicals so much, I decided to see as much things as I can in 2017. So far I got tickets for the following shows in Edinburgh Playhouse: - Wonderland (already saw it and liked it)
- Thoroughly Modern Millie (already saw it and liked it <but cringed at Mrs Meers>)
- Evita (seeing next week)
- The Commitments (March)
- La Cage Aux Folles (March)
- Sister Act (April)
- Funny Girl (April)
Last Sunday I saw Cynthia Erivo in London and loved every second of it. Apart from that I am planning to see Audra McDonald in April, Dreamgirls in May or June and loads of shows during Edinburgh Fringe.
I hope to enjoy this year as much as I can!

I loved every single moment of the concert (although I was drenched and had to peel off my jacket and my shirt, because they were soaking). It was worth the 8.5 bus ride from Edinburgh ad 1.5 hours of queuing before the door opened. I saw people mentioning VIP and Meet and Greet tickets - when were they being sold? I got mine general admission early in the morning when they went on sale and I didn't see any VIP tickets (yay! my first post!) Congratulations on your first post and the board. The meet and greet tkts were restricted to 25 and they sold out immediately. You must be very dedicated to do such a long bus journey. I was amazed how good natured everyone was considering how wet they were. I'm in such a bad mood when I get wet. Did you get a programme? Ah, cool. I hope that anyone lucky enough to get the meet and greet tickets enjoyed themselves! I've listened to "The Color Purple" multiple times and when I read that Cynthia will do a concert in London I thought "Why not?" and quickly arranged travel and accommodation. I'm really happy I did it. It's the closest to Broadway I've ever been As for the journey, it sounds worse than it actually was. Not much legroom, but when I arrived at Victoria Station I didn't remember any of it. Yes, I got the programme as I was leaving the venue.
