Went full hipster. Smashed Avocado on toasted Sourdough. At home though, so not 100% hipster I guess as I wasn't on a macbook in a coffee shop window.

A bowl of porridge and a coffee, with another coffee as soon as I made it into the office!

A toasted crumpet with a low-fat Laughing Cow blue cheese spread and some ham and a cherry tomato salad with tahini dressing. Two skinny lattes.

My bank manager. That'll teach her for not following a customer's instruction.

A bowl of honey nut cornflakes I used to have honey nut cornflakes for breakfast but I got into the habit of grabbing a dry handful of them every time I went into the kitchen, and about the time I was getting through more than two packets a week I decided that I should probably switch to something else.

Oh that's made me laugh in recognition of my still having that very same habit, although I've curbed it considerably so must be weaning myself off it.

Usually proper porridge (with plain yogurt & brown sugar) plus fruit at this time of year. But I'm not yet allowed to stand for long enough to make it so am making do with granola in the interim.

I won't have any such "making do" talk about granola. Granola is good, it's no breakfast's fall-back! I used to make a lovely granola, I'm sorry I fell out of doing that. I started a breakfast thread in some other message board and enjoy seeing the wide range of responses including those that sound unpalatable to me. Porridge with yogurt, eh? My word. So porridge can't be made from a sitting position? Or at least, not that you've worked out how to?

Bread with Flora, peach & apricot Yeo Valley yoghurt & a satsuma. I have this pretty much every day. I don't do variety.

All Bran (dry, without milk) and a cup of tea. Do you eat the All Bran with a spoon even though it is dry?

Firstly, I haven't said anything against granola, which I clearly like or wouldn't eat. I'm making do with it in the sense that at this time of year I'd prefer something hot, especially as our kitchen is the coldest room in the house. As for my alleged inability to work out how to cook porridge sitting down, that's downright rude. The fact is that as I need to keep my leg elevated, it's just not practical to place 2 stools in front of the stove.

I was gonna make an inappropriate joke which is only partially true let's stick to a cup of coffee. I'm not really a breakfast person.

Hot cereal with blueberries. I add granola at the end to make it a little sweeter and to make the texture more interesting. And of course, there's always a mug o' coffee!

Is there anything people HAVE to have in the morning, without fail? For me, and it seems many, it's a cup or three of coffee.
Oh, and my meds, but I don't consider that a balanced meal. 😂😂
