I'm in on silver as well - I noticed something different yesterday while I was getting a ticket ready to go into a show, but didn't investigate it.
As a loyalty scheme it's a great idea, as I feel it makes you more likely to buy through them than anywhere else when there feels like proper perks.

I am also at silver level, should reach gold in my next London trip this summer. The bonus 8£ were more than welcomed!
But I also have access to a beta thing where I can access to discounted tickets for some shows happening the next 3 days. Had that added to my account for a few days now, and some of the deals are quite interesting. Shame that I don’t live in the uk, but might trade some rush tickets for the right deal of this if still available in the future

I love that this thread has gone from rage on page 1 when they scammed everyone out of bonus credits, to everyone praising them for bunging us £4 to spend on already overpriced tickets!

Too many have blind faith in their so called discounts. There are good value tickets to be had but checking elsewhere is essential

I mainly buy rush. But did got some fairly priced tickets here and there when discounts are available.
Last non rush tickets I got there were Fangirls for £15 (central row C, at the time it was first row; now they added two more rows) and one of the £25 tickets that were recently available for The Bakers Wife.

I generally buy rush from todaytix but do buy normal tickets when they do good offers. I always shop around and only buy if they genuinely are the best priced.

Exactly the same here, Rush is nearly always a bargain but whether it’s tickets or anything else I always shop around for anything I’m booking in advance. |

I got the 10% off, as well as the surprise cash, which was just over £11. Some of that might be accrued Perks, but I tend to spend that straight away, so I'm sure this must have been more than £8.
The 10% off is of limited use as the prices are inflated anyway. I mostly tend to book Rush and offers.
The most useful thing is the TodayTix Drops. There are some bargain seats appearing there. I presume this is where they're reselling seats cancelled under the insurance policy, but they had, for example, floor tickets for ABBA Voyage at under £50 earlier this week. Different people might get different offers.
I like the idea of getting 5 times the usual chance to win lottery tickets as well. I'm away next week so haven't tried that out yet, but keen to see if the odds come through for me any more regularly than usual. It also significantly decreases the odds for people who are visiting London and so aren't regular app users.

I find TodayTix particularly useful as a Brit when passing through the US. It seams to have good prices but I don't know the US well enough to know all the places to look. However the main benefit is that unlike some US theatre websites it doesn't get confused by my UK credit card.

Yes, if you go to your account and Daily drops isn’t in the list for silver or gold, then it’s the browser. Hopefully android will update soon, and you will get the discounts you deserve. Best wishes.

Considering this has just started it’s annoying that they’re counting from the start of 2024 rather than the previous 12 months. I’ve only booked with them 3 times this year, but 9 times in the last twelve months.
But then what happens on 1st January? Do all the gold members lose their perks and have to start from scratch?

From the web page:
“Once achieved, tier status lasts until December 31 of the following year, unless you reach a higher tier during that time, or reach Gold (the highest tier).”
So, if you’re gold now, you should keep the status until December 31, 2025 (or until they change the loyalty scheme again).
Your ticket count resets on January 1, 2025, but if you then buy enough tickets in 2025, you’d have status until the end of 2026.
It’s like most hotel brand loyalty schemes.
One thing I’ve discovered is the status is also valid for TodayTix internationally. I’m heading to New York for work, but exactly what evenings I have free are a bit unclear. I can access Drops there are and also get the 10% off (which is going to be easier than messing about trying to work out where all the commission free methods of booking are).

I presume most people don't just use one ticket seller but check competitors websites as well - ATG, Stagedoor, LW theatres etc. Deals are to be found though - I just got £15 middle of stalls seats this morning for Choir of man for example. |

I regularly meet a lot of frequent theatre goers and alarmingly many of them are unaware of what is available. I go to the theatre two or three times a week. Using seat filler sites, diligent searching, checking out drama colleges, etc I spend very little, even though I would avoid restricted view unless they seem acceptable when checked on seat plan. The variety of performances are amazing at colleges as they are not trying to be commercial. The directors are there to get best out students, rather than satisfy their egos and standards are invariably very high. I enjoy the big shows when I can get a bargain ticket but I relish the opportunity to explore beyond the west end. There are very many pub and studio theatres that offer so much and the experience of sitting in a small intimate theatre can far outweigh the offerings in larger theatre.

If you are buying just one ticket, the difference is reduced to £0,5, which isn’t that bad considering how quick and easy is to book via the app |

I know I'm about 7 years late to be asking this but I have never tried for Rush tickets before due to living outside London and booking in advance usually. I tried today for a show and it seemed impossible to get through at 10am. Is this usually the case and how good are the seats usually, if you do manage to get through?

It will really depend on the show. Sometimes the rush tickets won't sell out at 10am and you can find them throughout the day, but I think that's not the case with most shows currently. As long as you are on the waiting screen just before 10am and click the button as soon as it appears, it's really based on luck. Some people will manage to get through and some won't. Speaking from my own experience, I managed to get through to the rush tickets I wanted more often that I did not, I would say. Seats are usually good, but that will also vary from show to show. |
