I'm actually really curious about the Olaf-thing, having not seen the show. Is it still going to be Olaf? I'm assuming yes. Will they change any of the score?

To be honest the way the role works I really can’t see a female playing the role of Olaf effecting it much.

Agreed, Olaf is made of snow and has no gender as far as i'm concerned.

not keen on a female Olaf , as the name says its male, even if it does not have a.... but Olaf is the one thing i could live the most with if they have to do that brutal gendering a male Elsa or Anna and i am out of it

To recap: A princess of a fictional kingdom can create an ice castle due to a blessing/hydration disorder and people are hung up on the gender presentation of a sentient snowman.

Very good point! I'm mostly curious from a musical perspective - is she singing in the original key (props to her if yes!)? Will it change harmonies? Like I said, haven't seen the show so I have no idea what impact it might have. Either way I think it'll be fun!

From Deadline -
Disney’s Frozen has become Broadway’s first long-running casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic and industrywide shutdown. The production, which opened March 22, 2018 at the St. James Theatre, announced today that it will not return when Broadway reopens – whenever that might be.

It's been announced that the Broadway production of this won't reopen after the lockdown. I suppose it's also likely the London production will be delayed?

I wonder how long it would have lasted without the lockdown occurring?

I did read that the Broadway production closed so other productions of the show could utilise the sets and costumes and save money. So there’s still a small hope that it’ll go ahead as normal.
