Rudin is known for being a bit of a bully and very demanding, even if he's calmed down I imagine he's the type who wants things done his way. That way lies potential friction with creatives or other producers. EDIT: some opinions on him and that's not even mentioning his starring role in the Sony hack, where he and another producer made some particularly insensitive remarks aimed at Obama's race, among other comments. Having worked with Harvey Weinstein at one point, I'm surprised they both made it out alive. www.thewire.com/entertainment/2011/12/four-types-scott-rudin-temper-tantrums/45761/

There are horror stories of people who worked for him and he famously pulled out of Clybourne Park because Bruce Norris, the writer dropped of doing the pilot of The Corrections which he was producing.

The Rudins and Weinsteins of this world always make it out alive. Being an unrepentant a**hole is the chief requirement for success in the world they inhabit.

I've worked on a few Rudin shows, and yes he can be tough- but he is a decent man and has high standards. He ain't Weinstein- he won't put his name on crap

Okay, I'm determined to keep the faith: Minchin singing a song from Groundhog Day: --- That song has been in my head since the video was uploaded. If the songs are as good as that, then surely we're all in for a treat! Very excited now, just gotta book my tickets!! :-) He also did it again at a gig in Sydney last year in a different key, with back-up vocals, band and an instrumental section/extra chorus:

Don't want to keep posting the same song but this definitely sounds like the most complete version and it's pretty beautiful:

So here's a clip from Minchin's guitar cover from his Koko gig in 2013 xD As Bragg said on the introduction for the recent one, it's the show's finale which makes more sense now. I thought it would've been like the middle of act two or the "Eleven O'Clock" number if you like. Either way it sounds pretty great!

No queuing online, just on phone websites it seems. Got myself 4 tickets for the second preview after a bit of playing around as a few times one or more of my selection was held by someone else

Got straight in at noon, bit of faff with tickets still showing available but obviously being already in someone else's basket, but got a nice ticket in row L for 28th. The thing is, I'm not even sure if I want to see this as can't bear Tim Minchin but he's not in it at least! Think it will be a bit of an 'event' and at £10, it's just too good a bargain to miss.

Wierdly, if I use my phone it puts me in place 1000 etc in the queue, but my computer goes straight through. What an odd system.

In a queue since 11:58. What browser are people using to get straight in? Chrome and internet explorer on my PC go straight through. Or at least were till just now where I am getting out in a queue. I had the ticketing page with the available dates etc open from about 11:50, I wonder if that made it glitch to let me in without queuing.

Got restricted row e in the circle for the first preview which isn't ideal so here's hoping they cancel and transfer to better seats later in the run!

Got through straight away on Internet Explorer but was too late. So annoyed, what a stupid system with Chrome putting me in a 40 min queue.
