Ryan spent the whole interval knocking on Andy Karl's dressing room door. In the end Andy let him out!!

Sorry if this has been asked before (as I suspect it has), but what time should I get to the theatre to stand a chance of getting day seats/standbys (are they the same thing?) tomorrow?

A few days ago I went online at 5:30pm and all seats were reduced to £21. If there are lots of seats left for tomorrow I suspect they will do the same reducing sometime after 3pm? I think someone got a similar deal in person at 4ish a few days ago? |

and whatever they sang at the curtain call (and it was only a few lines) was completely drowned out by applause. Interesting to read this - was it Tues night you were there cgontheloose? I was there on Monday night and the curtain call was completely music-less, which I felt suited the show far better than a cast sing-a-long! Yes, Tuesday. I've no idea what they sang, the applause didn't let up at all, but think it was probably the sat couple of lines of one of the big ensemble numbers. |

How much is the programme for this and was there anything else on sale merch wise? They have programmes and posters. Not sure exactly how much they are but for £8.50 I got a poster, programme and a bottle of water. |

I have £30 balcony seats for tomorrow night's performance but can see lots of availability in the Stalls. Do you think there's any chance of an upgrade??

Possibly, but I think it unlikely - in the Stalls on Tuesday night, I was told on my way in to be sure to keep my ticket on me at all times and reminded when I left the auditorium at the interval that I would need it for re-entry. And they DID check it when I came back. Friend up in the Dress Circle reported no such vigilance, so I suspect they are trying to stop people relocating themselves from the top deck down to empty Stalls seats at half time!

It does seem a madly long preview period!
I've just impulse booked myself L6 for tonight for £30. Trains are bugged due to signalling problems so it seemed like a good enough excuse!
I think I am now officially obsessed with this show.

They reduced all the seats for tonight to £30 online at 5:30pm today. I'm going to try this method on Monday, looks like there are a fair few seats left for that performance at the moment.

It was busy, still the odd empty seat dotted about.
The audience felt older - more of a typical Old Vic audience than before, but then I guess we're out of the £10 preview period. Less enthusiastic than before, too - no standing ovation tonight, just a few pockets of people on their feet at the end. That's not to say it wasn't successful, it was definitely warmly received, the jokes landed well, and I heard lots of happy chatter on the way out, but I definitely felt the lack of a curtain song to get people on their feet.
The illusions didn't get a spontaneous round of applause tonight, but I think it was because the audience were listening more to the song.
Noticed a couple of changes - the opening video sequence has been re-jigged, and is funnier. There's some cleaner scene changes using the revolve instead of cutting to black. Sound was better, still not perfect but getting there gradually.

Ah, badges badges. Also took advantage of the late evening discounted tickets, bought F28 for £30. I love this show! Got to listen to the lyrics and it's smart and funny.
Yes some changes, the signposts on the revolve, which fell over a lot when I saw it two weeks ago appear to have been replaced by cast waving them behind Andy Karl. Did he wear a fur coat and drawers last time? Oh my ... The bench seats for Phil in the diner are replaced by bar stools. There's a bit of country style music to clap along to at curtain call that wasn't there previously.
I loved it, and I may sneak in another last minute visit. Lots of chatter about how fun it was. And yes I stood at the end, it's all I could do to stop myself leaping onstage and snogging Andy Karl.
Thanks so much to the poster who gave the heads up about the late discounts for that evening, I'm very grateful.

I have Ned's song stuck in my head. I'm a sucker for slow-sad-beautiful in a minor key and I think the actor nailed it tonight,

God I hope we get a cast recording.

i see Paul Kieve is listed who did awesome illusions for Matilda and even better for Ghost The Musical, nowhere I don't remember there any illusions in this?
