Heathers announcement almost certainly happening and Carrie having the 7 week break during her Fantine run next year, too much of a coincidence.

I was there last night in the front row. I didn't specifically book to see Alfie Boe but I had missed out on seeing him back when he was originally in it due to him being ill so would quite have liked to see him. After seeing John Owen Jones...WOW! Outstanding singing and there was emotion behind every word, I forgot about Alfie by the time the show was done.
I really couldn't fault much about the cast at all. Bradley Jaden as Enjolras was probably the stand out to me (other than John as Valjean). He has the most amazing voice and presence and is damn good looking too which always helps. Carrie has certainly earnt her role as Fantine with a voice like that, she doesn't deserve a lot of the hate on twitter (mostly aimed at her look and figure). Matt Lucas and Katy Secombe are the most hilarious pairing, they bounce off each other perfectly. I have always been a big fan of Matt so I was very happy he was on. I was nervous about Shan (Eponine) after seeing a few negative reviews of her but I loved her voice, maybe not the acting as much but that's hard to do when its a concert version. I look forward to seeing her in the full production when it returns. Lily Kerhoas (Cosette) didn't do too much for me, she certainly looks the part but it was all a bit 'meh'. Seeing this reminds me how small a part Cosette actually is, having not seen the show since around 2011. Sophia Revie very cute as Little Cosette, Charlie Hagen was an excellent Gavroche and it was fun to watch him even sitting in the background, he was always fully in part and looked terrified when the gunshots were going off.
9.5/10 from me. If I can find the time and money and a ticket, I'll try and get back 1 more time before it closes.

I’m seeing the show this week and it’s only dawned on me, is this sung the whole way through or are there acting scenes ?

"Scoon" is definitely how you pronounce the PLACE Scone in Perthshire, notable for Scone Palace, a classic Scots baronial mansion. As a Scot who's visited the palace many times, I'd always say "Scoon" Palace, although I'd never call the baked good a "Scoon". (Two possible pronunciations are enough, we don't need another) I say Scone for the baked good and have always said Scone for the town/palace too! Although I’ve never met anyone from there so I’m guessing I’ve been saying it wrong my whole life if it’s Scoon.

Not surprised at Carrie getting Fantine for the new version or that a few of the tour cast are coming in.
I’m happy to see Richard Carson in this, especially as 1st cover Javert. I saw him as Fiyero on the Wicked tour when he was an understudy for the role and also as Chris on the Miss Saigon tour and loved him each time.

I can't believe its playing in Edinburgh for 4 months! Maybe because of the remake film that came out this year and it's fresh in people's minds.

The announcement of Lauren Drew and Jodie Steele will certainly up ticket sales a bit, them having both been in Heathers together last year.

Interesting to see Robert Madge cast in this, he played Gavroche at the Les Mis 25th anniversary concert! I saw him as the Artful Dodger also and thought he was excellent then.

This is playing the Theatre Royal, Glasgow (4 week run) June 2020. Announcement soon. I have no visual proof but I work in the theatre and have seen the upcoming schedule. If I were you, I'd strike the photo of yourself from here. Else you might get into difficulties with your employer.. It’s all good, that isn’t me in the photo, it’s a long story. The official Twitter is now teasing the announcement, it’s getting announced on Friday.

I’m not sure about The Play That Goes Wrong but there’s 5 productions of Hamilton playing at the same time in the US! 2 Tours, Broadway, Chicago and San Francisco.

Isn't Michael Ball off that day? I think that's why they held back. No idea why it is the earlier time though! Possibly starting earlier due to a tv performance. I know that Britains Got Talent The Champions and X Factor Celebrity are both due to start around August/September time.

Thank you so much, I've managed to book front row. I have been checking every day for weeks for decent tickets to come up and have been unlucky. Can I also add they seem to have added 3 seats on each side of the front row of the stalls for the majority of shows, incase anyone's wanting to be close up, although they are £97.50.

Glee is one of my favourite series ever, camp camp camp fun, amazing singers and hard hitting storylines when its needed. I've been watching a couple of episodes every day since it got added last week.

At Matilda London I once saw Ashleigh Drew (female swing) go on as Bruce Bogtrotter for the final song, Revolting Children, as the main Bruce got ill and the standby had already gone home.

I had Granola, fat free yoghurt and a banana chopped up and mixed in with the granola, although I'm dreaming of a full Scottish breakfast at the moment.

For anyone who cares, the discount for drinks has been reinstated for all ATG cards. There must have been a lot of complaints.

(I've no idea how to quote 2 posts so if someone can add david from a few posts previous in to this, or tell me how to, that'd be great) A sneaky thing that most people don't know about, which they really should change, is that you can type any numbered code into the till and the discount will always go through. So even if its an old card or a card without the drinks discount benefit, it will always work. Just read your post. Interesting comments from yourself @cheesey116 .I’ve got the new classic card so I was really surprised I got the drinks discount at the Duke of York’s a few weeks ago (TBH, I just chanced my arm with the discount as I was under the impression that the drinks thing had stopped with the new cards.). I tried it again on Monday at my local ATG venue, the Liverpool Empire and got the discount again. I’m not complaining, but just surprised that it’s still being allowed if it isn’t meant to be part of the new card. I work for the Glasgow ATG theatres and we've definitely been told that the new classic card doesn't include discount, although I've seen some people give it anyway as next to no-one is aware of the loss of the discount and it gets very awkward having to tell them. Its easier just to give them it by typing in a random number on the till, to avoid confrontation. Short term gain but in the long run the patron will wonder why sometimes they get it and sometimes they don't. The best way to solve this is to tell them up front in the renewal email they don't get the discount but then that will maybe stop people from renewing.
