Ryan has confirmed on Twitter that the reason he is off is because he has Covid19.

I’ve booked a seat in the middle of the Royal Circle on 9th February for £55 which would usually go for £150 some days so I’m finally on the good side of dynamic pricing.

Does anyone know if Samantha Barks is scheduled on for all shows or does she have set shows a week she misses ? Thanks in advance.

Everything comes battered as standard in a Scottish chippy so I always find it unusual when visiting family across the border and you get an unbattered sausage when you ask for a sausage and chips!

Tom Scanlon (ensemble) has just tweeted a ‘meme’ which makes it seems as if he thought the show was going to the west end but is now no longer doing so. I guess something last minute has changed ?

I never expected the double sashay! It definitely wasn't an amazing lip sync but it wasn't TERRIBLE?

Does anyone know why they have cancelled the final day of performances in Glasgow on Saturday 1st January 2022? I had fantastic seats, it had sold very well, and it’s the only day I could go. Shame. The production is now running up to, and including, Friday 31st December 2021. Because they have to pay FOH and BOH staff double time and public transport is off on New Year’s Day so the house agreement is that taxis have to be provided if there’s no public transport. They couldn’t come to an agreement with the show to cover these costs so they’ve cancelled them. The matinee has been moved to another date but they haven’t found a suitable replacement for the evening yet. For once, working in Glasgow theatres has helped me answer a question on here lol

I ADORE Guiseppe and Juergen! I don’t usually predict the winner until week 3 or 4 but I’m going for one of them. Don’t count Freya out either. I’ve guessed correct 4 out of the last 5 years 😂

Have they announced yet what show the alternate Cinderella is on ? The matinees or the first show of the week ?

Would anyone be interested in a ticket to this for tomorrow evening ? Opening night ? I can no longer make it and I’m quite happy to give it away to anyone who would love to see the show. If it's going spare then I'd love it. Many thanks Hi mate I’m sorry , I hadn’t been back on the board since I posted this message oops, I apologise. Someone else got back to me not long after anyway. I’ve heard good things about the show after the first night!

Wicked U.K. Tour Miss Saigon London (2016/2017?) Les Mis 2020
When I’ve seen these 3 shows, every time, coincidentally, Richard Carson has been on as his 1st Cover character.
Fiyero, Chris and Javert.
I’ve not even known he was in the cast till I saw the programmes so I’m bound to see him in something else over the next few years.

The most important question here is WHY has Dida Ritz not been back on yet ? She’s the true lip sync queen for me.

Ginger and Akeria are the 2 strongest queens for me, I did like Trinity K Bonet when her season was on too so she could be one to watch. I'll be muting the tv every time Silky talks.

I'm surprised Charlie and the Chocolate Factory hasn't toured yet. If it was to keep the London set or something similar then they would probably do longer runs at the venues like Matilda. As long as it isn't that terrible terrible USA version they did 2 years ago. All the kids, other than Charlie, were grown adults!
I'd love to see Fun Home again and for it to play near me in Scotland but it will never happen *a man can wish*
Tours I'd love to happen are Memphis, Groundhog Day and Billy Elliot again.

ATG Theatres in Bristol, Manchester and Milton Keynes will be announcing on Wednesday some QDOS pantos for this year. Shorter runs and shorter running times than usual but still with an all star cast.
I’ve no idea of the casts yet though.

I was about 5500 in the queue and got through eventually about 13:45, I couldn’t find any stalls seats for any Saturdays evenings already! So I’m near the front of the grand circle which I’m still happy with. Good luck to everyone else still waiting

Just the show we need. Upbeat, great music, the original production and it's relevant even nowadays with its storyline and themes. I really hope this goes ahead.

Another west of Scotland one to throw into the mix, some chippys do a deep fried creme egg (in batter) around spring time. It is delicious.
The pizza crunchie is 9 times out of 10 just a cheese and tomato frozen pizza although some chippys offer one with mushroom. I've never seen any other toppings being offered.

Similar to an earlier post, I’m from the west of Scotland and the local ‘delicacy’ is definitely the battered pizza, commonly known as the Pizza Crunchie or sometimes just the Pizza Crunch. Available in a quarter slice or half slice although some places will do a full one!
In Edinburgh they top everything with something called ‘sauce’, instead of vinegar. So they will ask if you want salt and sauce rather than salt and vinegar. I believe it’s a mix of vinegar and brown sauce although I’m not 100% sure as I’ve never had it.
In Scotland we also say a ‘fish supper’ instead of fish and chips or a ‘sausage supper’ instead of sausage and chips and so on. If you just want a slice of fish, it would be a ‘single fish’.
I have family in Barrow in the Lake District and if you order a sausage from the chippy, it comes unbattered whereas if you asked for sausage here it would automatically come battered. I’m not sure how that varies in the rest of England ?
I could talk about regional differences in every topic for hours! It’s my weird niche I like.
**edit** there’s a posh chippy in the west end of Glasgow which does a Lobster Supper... it’s next to Glasgow uni so I’m not surprised.

I know they haven’t publicly said yet but I work for ATG and they said on a company call yesterday that they won’t be opening any theatres before March.
