I didn't think that Ava was up to Rachel Johns standard either. I feel that where as Rachel John made that part a stand out, when i went the other week Ava's Angelica kidn of was just 'there'.
One person i did like was Dom Hartley Harris as Washington. When i saw Hamilton shortly after opening One Last Time was my fave song and moment of the show and i was concerned that nobody could live up to his performance of it but Dom did very well indeed and it remains my fave part of the show and song from the show.
It gives me chills.

To be fair, it never should have closed (when it did) in the first place.

I don't see why Hairspray will be a money spinner. It's been on a million tours and will going on one next year as well. It's hardly a show nobody has seen for a while. And if it's the same set/costumes as last time it's not even anything new in itself.

Oh that would be good. I'd also like to see someone do The Witches of Eastwick. I doubt that's a guaranteed money spinner though so probably not the show in this case.

Looking at eh big musicals of the 00s... The one that sticks out to me as making them lots of cash, could it be "we will rock you" You’re in the right era, it’s early 00s and a Broadway import Has it appeared here before?

Full dislosure that I've only seen her announced for Birmingham personally but given all the hannigans have their own run I'd assume she's doing all those other venues also.

How about Six?
Only 1hr 15 too so she won't have to sit through a 2hr45min musical if she's not so keen. But i bet she'd love it.

I had the same thought regarding her not actually having a scar at all.

Tbh I was glad of a few enthusiastic fans tonight cus the audience was very subdued other than some appreciative ones whooping at the back. But it was full which was good to see.

Went back for the 2nd time tonight. Had Vicki on as Boleyn and loved her. Grace as Parr, as she was the last time, but destined to see Aimee it seems. I really think All You Wanna Do is the weakest song and it seems to go on a bit and also Grace was my least fave girl so that wasn't a great part of the show for me. It goes a little flat there for me. Maybe Aimee does it different so id be interested to see her.
The lighting for this show is great. Should have won an Olivier imo.

Not long outv of matinee. Not quite the same awe as first time but still great. Waylon Jacobs on as Burr. Didn't really have the singing chops but otherwise I liked him. Ava I'm afraid is not in the same league as Rachel for me. I loved Jon Robyns as King George and the guy who played Washington who's name escapes me.

Aren't Chicago and A.R.T the two big places that shows usually try out before Broadway? And they are doing both.
Interesting.

I'm not really a plays kind of guy but this is my local and it seems like it will be kind of interesting. Not seen the film.
I think i will give a play a rare go for a change.

I'm heading to the show for the 2nd time on Thursday evening. First time i had full cast apart from Grace as Howard. That was back when she was the only swing. Intrigued to see which combo i get this time now they plat around with it a little more.

I’m behind but I heard how legendary Brooke’s runway was so I watched it and OMG. Arguably would have been even more legendary if she had waited until the Lip Synch to whip it off (according to one article I read) but either way, utterly brilliant. I suppose it would have been but i guess the point was she went all out on the runway to try to prevent being in the bottom two and having to lip sync in the first place. It didn't work. But i think it should of tbh.

I'm sorry but I don't get people loudly wanting a show to close. Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean other don't. I'd never say a show should close just because I don't like it or want something else in the theatre. Not least because these shows actually employ 10s or even hundreds of people who all would lose their job.

It's not just BK. It's a Paul Taylor Mills and BK co-production, like Heathers was.

What is going on lately. Maybe i was just ignorant too it before but it seems lately there has been a crazy rise in ridiculous fangirl/boy behaviour to the extremes. People need to grow up.

Sell a door are really taking off aren't they, so many productions this year.
And they seem to have a keen eye on bringing over some Broadway shows that haven't made it to the UK yet.
Well done them.
The only thing is this year is becoming packed and my bank balance and time off don't want to cooperate with so many shows!!!

It's hardly a big role and one song. I don't really get what is so off putting about it to be honest.

West End Wilma: You have been found – London’s DEAR EVAN HANSEN star announced - Brandon Mariñas So not British at all then. If true I will be fuming. They literally made a point of saying it will be a British Evan and no doubt hundreds of more than capable british actors auditioned.

I have not seen him in a show so i can't really fully judge but i will say that i find him a little OTT and try hard in some of the clips and concert performances i've seen online in a very stage school type of way. However, he has an excellent voice indeed.
Of course it could be for another show or indeed for DEH but a cover. We'll see.
