I hope I can see Ash playing Hamilton some day. Btw Sifiso is listed as Hamilton u/s. Has he gone on already? Sifiso has been on quite a lot Burr but I don't believe he has been on as Hamilton. Jamael and Ash would both have to be out. If Ash was sick on a Monday, they might even call in Jamael to do Monday's performance before using an understudy.

Its good to know that the audience is in good hands with whoever they get as Hamilton.

For those who have seen Ash and Jamael, how would you characterize the difference in how they each play the character? Has Ash improved as some people thought he was tentative (understandably) in his first few performances....

Has John McCrea been off yet? His work ethic is really unbelievable...just think a lead in a West End show who actually appreciates that he is a lead in a West End show!

Kristie Skivington is on as Miss Hedge all week. Tamsin must be on holiday. She is leaving to do Strictly Ballroom so it will be interesting to see who replaces Kristie is amazing in her dance pas de deaux during "if I Met Myself Again" and she really lights up the stage in her usual ensemble role. Funny because she doesn't read old enough to be the teacher but Im sure she will be fab Don't think she is leaving. She was in the West Yorkshire Playhouse cast of Strictly Ballroom, but is not in the London cast Oh that's good news - I really like her as Miss Hedge...

Is there an Aurora character in the play or is it just the 2 men? David Bedella will no doubt be cast as one of the men...

They will definitely want to run this through Christmas 2018 as they will seriously clean up with all of the tourists in town.
Daniel Johnson - any word on replacements yet for the cast members who are leaving?

Second cover Pritti Pasha is on tonight - Courtney Bowman and it’s her debut as Pritti. (She usually plays Fatima’s). Who is first cover and has she been on?

I love the scene in the drag shop and I love that song. i saw it with the original guy and then the understudy who usually plays the dad and i thought it worked much better with the understudy as he was slimer and camper. I didn't buy it as much with the original actor. I LOVE LOVE LOVE John McCrea and he is incandescent and a true star. And Josie Walker, Lucie Shorthouse and Mina Anwar really shine. I am obsessed with this show and I can't wait for the cast recording and to see it again. Fav show I've seen all year in London or on Broadway. Since the year is only 19 days old I assume you mean last year. Ha - yes favourite show of 2017! Days ands years blend together...i blame it on my misspent youth

I too think it’s an excellent part of the show and it’s essential for moving the plot forward! It really charmed me & was well staged with a classic old school charm to it. For me, it is just how long it goes on for. I get that it is pivatol to the story, but it just goes on too long. Like, sum it up faster people, we wanna get back to the Mum and her friend, or the school kids. I'd personally rather they further the characters of the bully or the best friend than drag out that scene. It just goes on too long for the amount it brought to the plot (for me, differing opinions are good haha). Why did Spencer Stafford go from playing a drag queen in Sheffield to swinging? Because he moved over the border to Dronfield, if the rumours are true. I actually saw Spencer years ago at the Menier cover for Douglas Hodge when he was ill in La Cage. Of course Spencer was quite camp (as the character should be) so it was interesting to see him play the butch dad. I will say, the dad is a terrible one dimensional role and though it helps move the story along, the stage time is little to none lol

, the drag shop scene was just too drawn out and boring I found the whole "Legend of Loco Chanelle" sequence one of my favourites. It set up a lot of the situation to come, too, as did the rest of the scene. Wonder what I saw that others didn't? Would also point out that on Saturday afternoon a cover was playing Hugo, so maybe that helped? The Hugo cover is amazing. He usually plays the dad. Why did Spencer Stafford go from playing a drag queen in Sheffield to swinging? Does he cover all three queens too?

It is the most efficient check in process I have ever experienced (including concerts) and Sir Cameron did an amazing job training his people. A drivers license (even from another country) is fine. It is basically just to show them a photo of yourself. They glanced at mine quickly but they do look. Not sure anyone tried to pull one over on the ushers but i do think it would be difficult as there are two checkpoints.

Finally got to this, this afternoon. It did everything for me that "Hamilton" really didn't. I'm not talking about this one, I'm babbling. Not ashamed to admit I hardly saw half of "If I Met Myself Again" as my eyes were swimming (who were the dancers, the programme wasn't clear). The whole thing just punches and punches and punches again, every single emotional button across the range. Jamie and his mum for the Oliviers, and the rest of them. Will write more on my site next week. For me...it is the freshest score since Billy Elliott and hands down my favourite Show of the year. If this show doesn’t have a long run and transfer to Broadway, there’s no justice

I tend to focus on the dance belts of the male ensemble members during Christopher Howell's moments... 😂😂 in my six times, I have come to conclude that bar a number or two on one or two guys, the dance belts do what they are supposed to do by not being visable. ...And that fact saddens me

Two words: Jerry Springer. I actually liked Jerry Springer because of the subtext of his talk show and the role he was playing. Billy Zane and George Hamilton were a lot worse. I liked John Barrowman though he was quite camp as Billy.

Daniel Johnson - this is your week to see 42nd Street! There is an understudy on for Christopher Howell for the rest of the week! Aha I'm aware, alas I am working all weekend. I can deal with how it is with him on now, six times in you get get used to fast forwarding his parts in your head or focusing on the Ensemble, Jasna or the choice of hairdo of the lady in front of you and questioning why she went for that look in public. I tend to focus on the dance belts of the male ensemble members during Christopher Howell's moments...

The providences are North America, aren't they? No, I believe it’s anywhere north of Welwyn and south of Cheadle Hulme. Anywhere further up is referenced as ‘the wilds’ and it is assumed that the punters there would only enjoy panto or Blood Brothers (as long as theres a Nolan involved!). 😂🙄 A Nolan...Kimberly Walsh or an X Factor reject

Fabulous news...this just shows that people love Jamie and again, I reiterate that this will extend further through the end of the year as the word of mouth spreads...
Thank you Nica Burns for being brave enough to bring this show to the West End - one with a message we all can use right now!

It seems to me that attendance is picking up and I wouldnt be surprised if it extends until the end of 2018. It's in one if Nica's theaters so there isn't a theater rental fee and it seems to be building momentum. Personally I am thrilled as it's my fav show of the year!

If all three ladies are out, they bring in Michael Ball to play Peggy...
He’s a bit too seasoned for Peggy but is a fierce Maria

They need to announce casting soon as it doesn’t seem to be selling that well And why would it? It was in the West End 5 years ago and played for close to 15 years. The quality went way down hill the longer the run went on and it certainly wasnt the same show at the end that it was in the beginning. Even in New York, it's quite tired and relays heavily on unsuspecting tourists.
