The thing that worries me these days is who do young gay men quote chapter and verse? When I was younger, friends and I could quote lines and even whole sketches from Victoria Wood - it was kind of mandatory in those days. The more lines you knew, the more respect you had. Now these poor youngsters don't have anyone to quote. Sad times! And they're still quoting them now- I'm one of them. There's a quote for every occasion!

It seems their twitter thread has been hijacked by conspiracy theorists and anti-maskers

A huge fave of mine was Pat and Margaret which I guess bridged the gap between comedy sketch and drama. Yes I love Pat and Margaret too. She just had a great ability for writing such great lines for her team of actors she worked with. Julie as Patricia Bedford was a tour de force. Pat and Margaret is one of my favourites too. And not just to hear Thora Hird coming out with that classic line "Not on the eiderdown?!" Priceless

Could be a good one to go into a west end theatre, it will get people back in theatres again. There is no way this production deserves a West End run. It doesn't even deserve a tour. It is very mediocre (and that's me feeling in a polite mood today)

What are people’s thoughts on the distancing in place? that all seems awfully close together when you compare it to the seating that the Open Air theatre had for JCS.

Baz has just tweeted there's going to be a huge West End announcement at the end of tonight's BGT. Intriguing.

Well, let’s accept that everyone is entitled to their opinion and move on shall we? Whatever is going on with the cast, I’m primarily concerned with my safety in the audience. The video I posted upthread assures me that the necessary precautions are being taken. I’m interested to see how the Perspex screens will be used! I had a shock this morning, got an email from the HM thanking me for my donation and asking what I wanted to have inscribed on my plaque. I mean, Ive made my fair share of drunk purchases but a £500 plaque at the Hope Mill? Fortunately it turned out to be an error 😂 I got that email too- Rather a surprise first thing this morning!

Anyone able to tell me what the parking situation at Hope Mill is like please? On their site it says there's a small car park but I can't find it on Google Maps. There is a small car park, I wouldn't foresee you having an issue getting a parking space x There is also lots of parking space on the street outside

She's at it again. Now with added Sheridan. I had to stop watching that. Why does Sheridan have to keep pulling ridiculous faces. Amanda actually sounded the better of the pair.

Ricardo just announced on Instagram that he will make a very exciting announcement tomorrow. I’m not entirely sure that I think announcements about announcements are a good thing, but I am allowing myself a tiny bit of hope that it’s a recording of JCS announcement. Although even as I type that, I think that the rules of PR mean he wouldn’t get to make that announcement. So the announcement wasn't JCS related. He's got a new band.

There's still a statement on OAT page that it's not going to happen for copyright reasons.

Came in here to post that but you beat me to it! Sad to see the theatre like that but reassuring that ALW is determined to bring back the original staging

Please don’t take out If I Can’t Love Her. Such a stirring end to the first act Agreed. Gorgeous song and in the original production when the castle revolved was one of my favourite theatrical moments ever

Is there an online programme or cast details for this? I've looked on the website but can only find credits for the creative team. Go further down the page- clickable links for the cast can be found there. Thank you! I kept coming to adverts which were halfway down the page and thought that was the end of the page. Some great pictures on there too
