Just got back from this, honestly didn’t picture myself adoring it quite as much as I did. They’ve done a good job of freshening up the show while still keeping its core which I’m thrilled about!

The only reason I know this guy is because he voiced Fix It Felix in Wreck It Ralph

Mr Wormwood comes out about halfway into the interval I’d say, maybe it was cut for certain shows??

I think it will be Marisha, I don’t know I can just “feel” it, you know when you just have a feeling? Totally get you. It suits her. Plus she follows KM on twitter so fingers crossed!

Marisha Wallace has posted on Instagram insinuating that something exciting is happening tomorrow. I really want it to be this. Not that my hopes are high or anything...

Happy birthday! You’ve made such a difference to so many theatregoers and I find myself constantly referring people booking tickets to the site

This is touring next year isn’t it? Even if they are different productions, that’s a whole lot of Joseph

So thanks to the advice from this board I’ve finally booked in for my first west end show! Front row of the grand circle for £19.50, really looking forward to it. Huge thanks to everybody here who’s posted their experiences with seats and more importantly how much they loved the show, you managed to persuade me at least!

As a teenager I’d never ever be allowed to do that, and I wouldn’t want to either. And I’m pretty sure there’s no reason to be there /that/ early in the first place.

It’s all getting a bit tasty on twitter about this. Aunty Willie from MTAS has pointed out what the youngsters did re: trying to convince people to not get there early and is now being accused of bullying young kids!. A lot of irony in that considering I’m pretty sure the girls they’re talking about are around 20

Seats in the front row of the grand going for £19.50, was it always like this?? I was just checking availability for the day I’m planning on booking and I don’t remember them being there

Hoping to catch this at New Year’s (in the slips - on a major budget). I was going to see somethig else, but after seeing the response to it know I’ll kick myself if I miss it. And I thought it’d sound incredible if this was my first west end show!

What would the grand circle slips/dress circle boxes be like for this?? Found some for later in the run at really decent prices but I can’t be sure how good the view is Can't speak from the Boxes, but sat practically next to them in the Dress slips and it's a great view. You almost feel onstage, and bar maybe a little bit of Ensemble unable to see at the sides for s few seconds, the whole show is very central! 100% recommend. Lovely! I was hoping it’d be central, and I don’t mind leaning if I really have to, hopefully I’ll be able to give them a go!

I don’t necessarily think Carrie is trying to ‘promote herself’, she doesn’t get creative choice over what goes in the programme I don’t think. One thing that does irk me about it though is that ‘Westerburg’ is spelt differently to how it is on the set

I do like how some theatres (e.g. the Birmingham Hippodrome and the Southampton Mayflower) have green coloured card stock among their tickets. They are part of their normal tickets but it would feel pretty cool to have a green ticket for Wicked. Or maybe what would happen is the touring company would issue the theatre with blank themed stock? Well, as Rukaya said it's probably too expensive and inconvenient to the theatres to have. *Little fun fact* when I saw Wicked with the mother at the Hippodrome, our tickets were pink and green! Not sure if it was intentional but still a nice touch

Feel like I was the only one not thrilled to see this show being confirmed for the West End haha. Excited for anyone who is a fan to be able to see it at a more affordable (hopefully...) price, but for me I was severely let down by this show when I saw it on Broadway. I'd heard Waving Through a Window beforehand but apart from that, no spoilers, and I've never left a show feeling so disappointed and also angry? There's no doubt some of the songs are fab, and on a bad day I will absolutely bawl at So Big/So Small but apart from that... Interested to see how audiences over here will react to it. Glad I’m not the only one! I do enjoy the cast recording, mostly Evan’s solos and So Big/So Small, but I seriously struggle to accept some of the plot and overall it has too much of a pop feel for me in places which I suppose is just due to Pasek and Paul’s style

Very true, and I imagine it can be at quite an inconvenience to the theatres too? The Birmingham Hippodrome for example, they print all of their tickets with their own design on (which is lovely by the way), and I can just picture it being a bit inconvenient for theatres on occasion?

I quite like them! One thing I find quite sad about the tour is that it’s the theatres own tickets, would much prefer the custom ones

I see the denial fraternity are all here. There are people out there who have differing views on how parts should be cast and one of those measures is weight, or may be stature as height and build is a factor. Their view is equally valid and to deny their freedom to express it says more about the self-appointed guardians of political correctness. If it waddles like a duck....... I wouldn’t argue ‘political correctness’, it’s basic human kindness and respect for others. There’s a rule I think about a lot: if the person can’t change it in 10 seconds (e.g a hair out of place, a lipstick smudge etc) then don’t comment on it. Commenting on weight is never okay, but if saying that makes me a part of the ‘pc brigade’ then I’ll take it...

Does Evan need to be white? Not at all, we never see his dad so he could be mixed race, or depending on the casting of Heidi he could be any race at all. Not an impact on the plot whatsoever

In the light of all the support for Luke Bayer today, a certain fellow cast member of his is being a taaad shady (presumably towards the entire situation??) and I really don’t know how to feel about it

I think it's really important that everyone is represented onstage, especially for a show like this, where the target audience is largely impressionable teenagers where it is really easy for us to think that we must all be stick-thin and perfect due to misrepresentation in the media. I should’ve included this too, I have friends who are larger, friends who are much slimmer and friends who are an ‘average’ size (if you could even call it that) and I think it’s important that everybody is represented in a show with this much impact

As a teenager I’m very much the target audience for this show. I haven’t seen it, but I already enjoy the cast recording and have for the past two years. I’m also a bit fat, and Carrie being cast as Veronica is to memory the only accurate representation of myself as a teenage girl I’ve ever known. This is real life and suggesting that it’s ‘odd’ to see girls of Carrie’s size on stage/men that look like Jamie in a sex scene is ridiculously harmful and insensitive, especially given the audience for this show in particular.

The Addams Family finished nearly a year ago, if she’d been talking about it at the time then sure it may have been a little unprofessional, but it’s a year later, they’re in a relationship and she’s no longer attached to the production. I can’t see a problem with it personally

I don’t see Anastasia, sure it’d fit in some of our theatres but I really can’t imagine it doing too well
