Strictly's audience is very old. Social media following doesn't tell you much. What's "very old" these days? Asking for a friend. 😉

This will be the second time that Les Miserables has visited Sheffield Arena. The first was in 1999. Of the 35 performances, I saw two.

The young woman sitting behind Craig looked bored for the whole two hours. It's probably the longest she's ever gone without her phone!
Without looking at the spoiler thread, it's Nikita's week to leave, isn't it? Slightly unfair that she had the Charleston and jive in successive weeks.

If you can hold your nerve a little longer, you could think about booking in the New Year Sale. Despite the name, tickets are sold from November. officiallondontheatre.com/sale/

Like him or loath him, can we all please try and spell Layton's name correctly. He's not a district of London!

Missing the point. It showed less commercial films that don’t get shown elsewhere. There’s literally dozens of ancient outmoded theatres with god awful sightlines within walking distance of this place. No need for another one of those. I would guess the old auditorium (seating) no longer exists therefore they would have to rip out the four current cinemas, leaving a shell - don't know if any of the Art Deco features still remain as I guess the place took a bashing during it's gig days - and completely remodel the auditorium with hopefully no poor sightlines making it one of the newest London theatres. The architects have clearly never visited the site or even looked at the previous planning application.

Why did nobody on the production team notice Anton's bow tie was wonky? Craig should grow old gracefully, rather than try too hard to still look in his 30s. How he's got the nerve to critique anybody's dancing is beyond me. Some of those transitions of his in that group number were just embarrassing. Lovely tribute to Les. Having one of the reveals on top of the O2 was clearly our david's idea. Any hints on what else we can look forward to in the weeks ahead? BurlyBeaR will obviously be rooting for Ellie and Vito. That's a very strong colour you've chosen for your new cape, BB. Cerise, is it? And I'm pleased you found a new use for your old nets. I think one, or both, Angelas could go quite far.

Did the merger between Three and Vodafone go ahead?
Not that it would make any difference to me. Where I live, the signal is just as bad from both.

Aren't we all forgetting which theatre has had more West End transfers than any other in recent years.

I've never done this, likely missed out on some easy discounts. Do they check you're reviewing the same seat you were booked in? The reason I ask is you could test out the seats with fewer than two reviews for at least long enough to take a photo (and get the bonus points). On the olden days, before e-tickets, you had to send a second photo of your paper ticket. Presumably, you now have to attach a screenshot, or something?

Do you know, I miss Miss Saigon, which I think we can all agree was another critical and commercial success for the world-famous Crucible Theatre. In no way, shape or form was this a one-star production! The atmosphere at the final performance was just as electric as I thought it would be, with, as posted above by Rozzi Rainbow, even the non-existent helicopter receiving an extended round of applause. All night, arms in the air, poor Chris Poon, the conductor, had to wait...and wait...and wait. At the very end, after the bows, the whole cast joined together in a huge group hug, then formed a circle and danced along to the playout music, which the majority of the audience stayed for. If I've had major withdrawal symptoms all week, it must feel even more strange for the cast. I was listing to a theatrical landlady talking to someone in the Winter Garden. She'd had a young man living in her attic since May! What I have taken some comfort from is the size of the Ron Hull skip in the scenery dock. It's just the standard size, not the extra-large ones they order for scenery. A good sign, I hope. I suppose I could have been one of the last 1,000 people to have seen this new production. Somehow, I suspect not.

I hate it when people get up to dance. Then I can't see the actors & have to get up too. Are you going to break it to our david, or shall I?

It was in summer 2019 that I found myself in an upstairs room at Hull New Theatre for a workshop production of The Remarkable Tale of Dorothy Mackaill. The writer's sister was one of the cast, with their mother in charge of feedback forms.
Fast forward to autumn 2023 and the full length version finally has its premiere at East Riding Theatre in Beverley, with May Tether from Heathers in the cast!
