Wed - John Godber’s Do I Love You (Liverpool Royal Court) Excellent choice, our david , though I am slightly biased. Couldn't you find anything to see in Liverpool on Friday?

Professional UK productions of Hello, Dolly! are so few and far between I'm not sure how anyone knows what a typical Irene Malloy should be.

I half-remembered that we already have a thread for a new KT Tunstall musical, but that's for Saving Grace.
She's churning them out faster than Elton John!

It's interesting what passes for Hallowe'en these days. 🎃
A pirate? I'm not convinced.
A man in a pig onesie? I'm even less convinced. 🐖
I rather like the excuse of the young man joining his friends in the pub earlier this evening. "Sorry I didn't dress up. I'm going to the gym later."

There's a poster outside Leeds Train Station. That should help.

Michelle Visage will bring a lot of her audience in I imagine. It will all be promoted and played very campy and that will appeal to the Yaaass Yaaaas Slaaaay Queeen crowd. 🙄 Well if they're going for that market, they'll find a part for Layton, surely.

I'm not sure I agreed with some of the scoring. With a few exceptions, I found most of the night underwhelming. Perhaps I wasn't in the mood. Two very disappointing American Smooths Was Ellie and Vito's trip to Battersea Power Station another of your ideas, our david?

Yes, both are perfectly legitimate. Theatremonkey has a reputation second to none, and Love Theatre is a subsiduary of ATG. On this occassion, you can book with complete confidence.

Despite running at the height of summer, a traditionally quite time of year for regional theatres, the production at the world-famous Crucible Theatre was seen by over 35,000 people, with over 30% of those attending a Sheffield Theatres production for the first time, including many TB members.
As my good friend has pointed out above, CamMack didn't become a billionaire by passing on opportunities when they're handed to him.
And congratulations are due to Jessica Lee, who won Best Performer in a Musical at The Stage Debut Awards on Sunday night.

Vito must have thought the show started later than it did. Poor lad didn't have time to put a shirt on!
Remember when there used to be VTs of everyone being chauffeured around in limos. Now the cost-conscious BBC makes them drive themselves.
Jody's only hope is being saved by the public. Based on last night's performance, I can't imagine the judges saving him.

I know we've all got to start somewhere, our david , but I'm a little disappointed that BurlyBeaR 's Sheffield theatrical debut isn't in the main auditorium of the world-famous Crucible Theatre. I'll still be accepting a complimentary ticket, though. As a very good friend, I'm bound to be offered one!

This will be the second time that Les Miserables has visited Sheffield Arena. The first was in 1999. Of the 35 performances, I saw two.

The young woman sitting behind Craig looked bored for the whole two hours. It's probably the longest she's ever gone without her phone!
Without looking at the spoiler thread, it's Nikita's week to leave, isn't it? Slightly unfair that she had the Charleston and jive in successive weeks.

Missing the point. It showed less commercial films that don’t get shown elsewhere. There’s literally dozens of ancient outmoded theatres with god awful sightlines within walking distance of this place. No need for another one of those. I would guess the old auditorium (seating) no longer exists therefore they would have to rip out the four current cinemas, leaving a shell - don't know if any of the Art Deco features still remain as I guess the place took a bashing during it's gig days - and completely remodel the auditorium with hopefully no poor sightlines making it one of the newest London theatres. The architects have clearly never visited the site or even looked at the previous planning application.
