Also, I'm pretty sure No10 does the announcement when The Queen dies It would certainly be newsworthy if the Queen called a meeting to announce her own death. No matter who announces it, for a year or two afterwards our national anthem will begin "God save our gracious QuKing". You know what I mean, it was more for future reference, it's No10 and not the palace that will make that kind of announce - though I do wonder if No10 would also announce Phillip's death.

I know the idea of a sequel has been thrown about for years - but I didn't think anything was confirmed or even really speculated?

From what I've read it was the Daily Mail that really blew up the whole 'emergency meeting', when it's more likely that this would have been planned at least a few days in advance.
Also, I'm pretty sure No10 does the announcement when The Queen dies (I remember talking to a friend about it when TM called the press conference for the GE)
Honestly though, this was pretty much expected

I'm like 5'3, maybe 5'4 at a push, so I might try the A1 seat next time I find one for sale

Rachel Tucker: On The Road includes the first studio recording of Kait Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk’s Hand in Hand, a new big band arrangement of the Oliver! classic Where Is Love? Rachel’s first original song I’m Falling (co-written by Musical Director Kris Rawlinson), Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, a poignant and heartfelt nod to Rachel’s time playing the iconic “green girl”, and a completely reimagined studio version of No Good Deed, from Wicked. The full album track listing runs as follows:
1. Hand in Hand - Kait Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk 2. Where Is Love? - Lionel Bart, from Oliver! 3. When She Loved Me - Randy Newman, from Toy Story 2 4. Miss Otis Regrets (She’s Unable to Lunch Today) - Cole Porter 5. You Matter To Me (with Lee Mead) - Sara Bareilles, from Waitress 6. I Can’t Make You Love Me - Mike Reid & Allen Shamblin 7. The Man That Got Away - Harold Arlen & Ira Gershwin, from A Star is Born 8. I’m Falling - Rachel Tucker & Kris Rawlinson 9. No Good Deed - Stephen Schwartz, from Wicked 10. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John 11. Castle On A Hill - Ed Sheeran

So yesterday was bored and browsing ! Headed to Hamilton officials website . Saw it said all shows sold out but clicked on December anyway . Then clicked on a sat matinee and got two cracking seats in the dress circle !! Anyone else seen this ?? They must be picking up secondary listings and selling them back !! Happy days !! Lucky you! I keep checking back for seats for the 2nd December for my sister's birthday, I had them in my basket at the time when they released but couldn't justify the top level tickets and ended up with seats for February mid-term instead. It's good to know they're putting returns back up on the website SaveSaveSaveSave

If it wasn't for the fact she's one of my best friends and she probably wouldn't forgive me (even for Rachel), then I'd drop Daniel in a heartbeat. I still haven't been to see anything in the Royal Albert Hall, so this would have been perfect. At least I'm booked now to see her in June

On the topic of Rachel, shs's peforming at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, singing Wicked (I presume probably Defying Gravity) as part of Magic at the MusicalsFor the love of god, I seriously considered going but only found out after getting a ticket to go and see Daniel Radcliffe at the Old Vic again with a friend...

She did a programme with BBC Belfast the other week and said she has her green card and will be moving to NYC for good as there are so many more opportunities out there. Well I suppose that is true and she deserves to be on Broadway but I want her to stay here! At least it gives me even more of an excuse to take advantage of my relatives in the state I sense a Broadway trip coming up (but I'm dying to see Hamilton, Waitress and the King and I so Rachel would be an even better excuse for me)

Can you not make any other dates? Soon she will be moving to New York so this feels very much like a farewell (for now) tour. Ah don't say that! I have exams in London until the 25th of May, and then I'm stuck here until the end of June because of my uni accommodation; I might see where the nearest show is to London. She's playing in Horsham in June I think, so I might try and get a ticket for that, but I need to check the rest of the dates first. Honestly, I would have loved to have seen her in Belfast, but hopefully she'll go back there someday.

Ah Rachel I miss you. May the 19th can't come soon enough 😍 I'm super jealous! I wanted to go and see her in Belfast, but I'm still in London for exams that weekend, if only she was playing there this weekend (when I'm home) and not next

Wish I sounded like that when I was in pain. I saw her three times during the 10th Anniversary shows and her NGD was always amazing, as well as ones I've heard on youtube as well.

Her Elphaba! Not her as a singer! I didn't go to her gig anyway, i sold my ticket after finding out she was singing NGD plus i would of rather of gone to see Alice Genuinely intrigued as to why Rachel singing NGD at her gig triggered you to sell your ticket? Yeah me as well, as I honestly think she's my favourite when it comes to NGD

I personally really liked Rachel, and I'm a fan of her music in general (but I'm not afraid to say I'm extremely biased towards her); and I for one think it's interesting to find out why people prefer one performer over another, but it's a bit extrme to say you 'despise' any performer

That's strange, they're up on the app for me (haven't checked the website though), but it might just depend on if your app has updated or not, it is strange though.
I am surprised they're selling tickets for both this and Annie though; but I'm not going to complain

The dates from the 16th-20th are up for sale on the app, the stalls seats are £32.50 (£9 off), and the dress circle seats are £22.50 (so £12.50 off). I always assumed it was the week before, but they just put tickets up for Annie for the end of May, and they're definitely selling them cause one of my friends just snapped up one for the 26th

The dates for Wimbledon are up on TodayTix with a decent discount: I was going to wait and see it in Dublin with my sister, but I might go and see it here as well 🙈

This is very random and unimportant but just wondering - is the normal American pronunciation of Anastasia "Anastasha"? (not sure how to write it - but if you watch any of the opening night videos for example that's how they all pronounce it, whereas I would pronounce the S as an S and not a "sh") I get what you mean, there's two pronounciations of Anastasia, (or probably more to be fair), I'm assuming they're going with the same pronouncation from the movie as that's how I would expect most Americans to pronounce it.

Agreed- this isn't groundbreaking theatre. The target audience is 12 year old girls, 30something women and showqueens who grew up watching the movie (raises hands!). No Russian history buff is out here to see this. So if it's culturally sloppy, it's pretty much what I can expect from American musical theatre. After all, it's in the same town where Miss Saigon and Aladdin are playing. Cultural sensitivity or accuracy is not the forte of commercial Broadway musicals. PS- I don't think you're a PR troll, btw. You don't exhibit the traits of a PR person, a troll, or a PR troll See that's my issue with this show. I essentially grew up with the movie, but as a massive history buff, I now cringe at a lot of the inaccuracies (same goes for Pocahontas, which I grew up knowing every word of). I'm probably going to pick the soundtrack up when it comes out, but if it did happen to come to the West End (to be honest, I'd rather see Waitress and The King & I transfer first), I'd have to go in with the mindset that it's based more off the movie than any kind of historical accuracy. I definitely understand a lot of it being targeted at an American audience, who may not pick up on the errors.

Can't believe I'm only find out about this now. I wasn't quick enough for London tickets and I'm not home when she's in Belfast (typical 😒), but I'll have to order the CD when I get home tonight - it says they're only selling 250 online so will they all be signed then?

^Not on a regular basis, and certainly not at weekends. Great seat, though, if you can get them at the price. I've had those £15 side stalls day seats on a Friday night and Saturday night. Had to specifically ask for them though, as they weren't keen to sell anything less than full price. I saw 42nd street on the night of the second preview, granted I was up in the first row of the balcony and really wouldn't mind going back and seeing it from near the front of the stalls. I might call in later in May and see if they'll let me buy a day ticket - maybe by then they'll have a proper policy for them?

So I saw Lion King for the first time on Tuesday. I treated myself to a day ticket after spending the weekend in the library (managed to get a pretty good one in the royal circle even though I only got there at 10am). While I enjoyed the show (and will definitely get day seats for it again), the people in the row behind me, and the couple beside me talked through the entire opening number and continuously thoughout, there were a few occasions where I genuinely couldn't hear the actors properly over them talking, and the woman next to me ended up snapchatting one of the songs (can't remember which) and the video started to autoplay right away at full volume.
Anyway, Wicked was too bad last night though (that was my first time getting day seats - I ended up getting a student ticket because they only had the end seats left in row A) - there was a kid running up and down the front section of the stalls but I think she was going between her parents so it was fine.
