I just want to say thank you to all on this thread! I went yesterday to the box office around 10am. Went in and they offered me a ticket for 140 pounds. I turned it down saying if I could wait for cheaper tickets. They said I could wait outside and they'd let me know if anything became available. Around 12:30 they came outside and offered me tickets for both parts for 40 pounds! Seats were incredible too...I sat in stalls F21. I was also the first person in line. A few minutes after another guy showed up. We both got tickets right next to each other. Nobody else was in line. Just want to say thank you, Otherwise I would never have gotten this incredible opportunity. Are they struggling to sell tickets or something? F21 for £40 is ridiculously cheap. My sister and I were at the show on Saturday, and I counted 40 empty seats in the balcony alone - at least - now there were latecomers, so we'll call it twenty. We had 8 empty seats just in the rows around us - and we were at the side of the balcony.

There were a few empty seats when I was there on Thurs/Fri but not that many - a set of 4 in my row and 2 behind me, possibly a few more behind. Some of the premium seats were empty as well. I passed the theatre at about 11am on Saturday and there was no returns queue at all, so I wonder how many of the empty seats were bought by touts and not sold, or just bought and not used? Or is it just not as busy now so it might actually be possible to get tickets fairly easily on the day? We were in the left hand side of the balcony and in the rows of 7 - and there were three empty seats in our row, three in the row in front, two in the row before that and two directly behind us.

My sister and I saw the show again on Saturday and really enjoyed the new cast (they were lovely at stage door!) but we were surprised by the amount of empty seats in the balcony alone. We counted 40 at the start, then there was a decent amount of latecomers, but there were at least twenty empty seats in the end.

Steal of the year, seat A5 stalls. Only available at the box office, it's £20 a part. Slightly restricted view but honestly, go and get this seat if you can! I'd say you can see 99% of the show Ooh now this is interesting...how did you come across this? And do you have an inkling at all on what the chances of the seat being randomly available would be, considering you seem to need to know to ask for it at the Box Office I presume?? Thanks for letting us know! Desperate to see it again! When my sister was over for her birthday in December, I managed to get us three seats in the sides of Row A about a week in advance - as I was seeing the show that day and had decided to try my hand at asking about tickets. We got the first seat in row A (which I sat on), and the last two at the other end, which my mum and sister took. For it being restricted viewing, you only miss the very back of the staff (however it does spoil some of the magic, as I was able to see off to the side of the stage at several times and see what was going on), but it's definitely a good seat if you can stag them.

Just a heads up that TodayTix have seats for the front of the stalls for £22.50 - I got a seat for row B tonight for that price 🙈 Seems they're using the £35 closing offer on their tickets and then reducing them further

So Rachel was amazing tonight (but what else would we expect?). Her and Samantha performed "All That's Jazz" and "For Good" together.

Another fabulous show from Ms Tucker at Zedel last night - I was at one of her early shows there in March and while that too was brilliant, I thought there was an added assurance to her performance now as she nears the end of her first solo tour. She's funny, warm and sings her heart out - I really like her swing version of As Long As He Needs Me, even more on a second listen, but I think my favourite of the night was her hauntingly beautiful Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Her guest last night was Lee Mead, hot-footing it straight from the Holby set to join her in singing their duet from the album, You Matter To Me and later As Long As You're Mine. I'm glad to hear this 😊 I didn't manage to get a ticket to see her in March, but I'm going to tonight's show. I'm sure Goodbye Yellow Brick Road was amazing 👌🏻

Both of the Claires were on tonight. They had Jenny Gayner in as Annie and Alexandra Burns on as Celia. I honestly really enjoyed this show (even with the girl beside me whistling in my ear after every song), and will hopefully go back and see it again before the end of month 🙈 Alex burns wasn't on for Celia tonight, it was Sophie Louise dann. I just realised that after posting it and going through my program (I thought I messed up the name) 😂 Shows me that I should try multitasking on the tube. Stand corrected 👌🏻

Got upgraded from the back of the Grand Circle to the stalls, so I'm guessing they aren't opening the Grand Circle tonight? I'm surprised if they've closed it on a Friday night It's been closed every time I've been, even on Saturdays. I do wonder when it was last open. Ah I see

Jane Asher - just dreadful. Surely there are plenty of actresses who could have played the part better. How on earth did she get cast? Really embarrassing! She had a larger role than I expected from the remarks on here too. I have to agree with this, her accent was horrible. When I was at the bar in the interval, the older couple behind me started talking about her and asking if she was going to make a "little cameo" in Act 2 because they were sure they hadn't seen her yet, and I had it on the tip of my tongue to turn around and say she was "the one with the accent issue" but I didn't. I still love this show though overall.

I would have gone but my sister's over for the weekend and we're seeing Cursed Child (again, she's obsessed) on the Saturday. We are going to try to fit WEL in somewhere, especially because she's never seen Rachel Tucker live.

A couple of days late, but I saw Book of Mormon for the first time on Wednesday (at the matinee show) for my friend's 21st birthday and I was surprised by the amount of people who came in late. There was at least three or four different times that large groups of people were admitted into the circle.

Dear Meryl, I hear you're making Mamma Mia 2. After that, please reprise the role of Miranda Priestly. That's all. Now THIS is something I can get behind. SaveSave

I spent ages trying to find a ticket for the 21st and was even prepared to pay a ton to see it again with the OG cast one last time, but I don't think it would have been right without Anthony. SaveSave

I'm so conflicted on how I feel about NGD - it's one of my favourite songs from Wicked, and I think Rachel is one of the best at the song. I really do enjoy the version on this track, I just need to separate it from the actual NGD. (I am glad to see Rachel putting her own twist on it though - especially at " that's the reason why.."!)

I'm a big fan of the soundtrack (my sister is an even bigger fan), but I've never been to one of these 'workshop' styled shows before.

So I thought I wouldn't be seeing anything this incoming week, but just bought a ticket to see The Book of Mormon for my friend's 21st. Now I finally get it off my list, I'll have to get Dreamgirls off my list in the next two-three weeks.

I hope that QR code isn't a user-specific offer of some sort. I haven't checked it yet, but I doubt it is. It most likely leads to here
Edit: I've just checked and that's exactly where the QR Code leads

Oh and that bloke in the stalls in the white vest. I mean, a white vest? For the theatre? HA! I was wondering if I will see a comment about him here When I saw him I though "Geez, it must be really hot in the theatre tonight..." Also, a question. Was it just me, or was there a lot of coughing at the end of the play and Conleth Hill reacted to it? Or was it just someone in my cinema? No there was actually a fair bit of coughing, and someone cleared their throat at one stage and I think some people thought it was one of the actors

Yep, I've already seen it in the flesh but I'm going for round two at the cinema. Seeing it all in close-up (and the actual drinks trolley this time!) will be a thrill. It's been years since I've been to one of the NT Live events - start time is 7pm but play won't actually start until 7.30 if I'm correct? And the first half hour is Emma Freud telling everyone about the play/cast etc? Play starts at 7. And it's 7 on the theatre's website too so half an hour earlier than usual tonight. 15 minutes of preamble starts at 6.45. Dobt be late! Yep, it's 7! I'm seeing it again tonight cause the stalls seats were so cheap but I almost forgot and ended up running here in the rain 😂 The main cameras are actually quiet far back in the stalls - in row P and they're about two rows in front of me, in the middle - don't know how good a view anyone is going to get if they're directly behind the cameras though

I actually find I'm far less likely to receive unwanted male attention at a theatre than anywhere else. Now I'm not saying that audiences seem to be made up of women, gay men, and straight men who've been dragged along by their partners, but stereotypes must come from somewhere... right...? Lively chats with friendly old ladies are always welcome here, by the by! If you strike up your mayfly friendship on a two-show day, you may even have just found yourself a wonderful dinner buddy! As someone who sees 95% of her shows by herself, I can relate to this. Though I'm usually that person sitting at the interval reading a book. In all honestly, I've noticed that it's a lot more women than men who go by themselves to the theatre, there were three or four other women by themselves sitting next to me at An American In Paris the other week. One of my friends that occasionally goes by herself to see shows by herself has ended up getting on really well with people she's met and still occasionally talks to some of them; to each their own I guess.

I actually got one of the student tickets before when I tried to dayseat and they only had the end seat left. The only issue with it is that there's three of us, but only two students, and I'm not sure they would give us three tickets; plus, I think that's only 'off-peak' and that last week of June is probably peak season/summer season? I'll probably leave it up to my sister to decide, because the seats in the second row that are not 'restricted view' are about £70 each. Thanks guys :]
(this is why I don't take people to shows with me)

Off topic, but has anyone ever sat at the end of row B of the stalls? My sister is coming over in June and we're thinking of buying seats for the slips in that row, but I've never sat that close to the stage for Wicked, and the last time I sat in the 'slips' of the front row it was for Cursed Child and I didn't really have an issue, but they obviously don't have the staircases at the side of the stage. You'll miss more in the high numbered seats than the low numbered, but either way I wouldn't recommend it for a first time visit. If you've both seen Wicked before though, go for it! You still have perfect view of the important bits of the show and you'll know whats happening in the bits you can't see anyway 😊 I've seen it a good couple of times myself now, my sister, however, hasn't seen it at all yet. I want to get her as close to the stage as possible but without dropping a ton of money for the ticket. I'm semi-considering just day seating it, but we're already planning on doing that with Lion King on the Sunday, and I'd rather know for sure that we've got tickets sorted for Wicked as she's doing a workshop on it and Hamilton in July.
