Rachel Tucker at the MAC in Belfast on Saturday...its a slow month for me, this is all I have booked until next month. I had really wanted to see her in Belfast, but I was home this weekend and not next So I'm seeing her in June in London though, so it's okay. There really isn't much on between Dublin and Belfast atm I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm back home for the summer SaveSave

I know this is a stoopid question because it's "NT Live", but is the cinema broadcast really live o r is it recorded? It's really live. Next Thursday on the ATG website has warning it is a live recorded performance and warns faces may be on screen, and has most of the stalls at a tenner in case their view is blocked briefly by cameras. Yeah I just picked up one of those £10 tickets (though they ended up being almost £14 when you put on the admin fee or whatever) because I was looking for an excuse to go back and see it one last time. I've never sat so far back in the stalls before though but I'm sure it'll be fine SaveSave

Wait, someone goes with a spreadsheet/clipboard?
Tbh, I haven't properly dayseated before, I ran to Victoria last week and got there about 9:40am, and ended up getting a student ticket because the only front row seats left were the wings - but when I do properly 'day seat' after exams, the last thing I would want would be someone throwing a clipboard in my face at 8am

As said on Magic of The Musicals, London celebrates its 700th performance this week! Any idea what day? Was thinking of maybe getting tickets for some point this week 🙈

That's good to hear! I'm seeing Rachel in June, but I've never been to this venue before (granted, I can't even remember ever seeing it, and I'm around Picadilly Circus every week). Random question, do you get physical tickets when you arrive? On my confirmation email, it says to just quote your reference number? SaveSaveNo, sadly no physical tickets, you just give your name on the door That's a pity! I have all my tickets kept in a little book with flyers and promotional material SaveSave

Have you heard Louise Dearman sing it? If not, get yourself to YouTube! Louise is incredible in that role from what I have heard of her! Her Don't Cry For Me Argentina is nothing short of stunning! I'll make sure to listen to it after this! SaveSave

^ Totally agree! I'm recording the Mellow Magic show so I'll have MP3s of Marisha's performances for y'all later Could you share some of the other songs as well? There's a thread for Magic at the Musicals somewhere, and I know a lot of us would be very grateful! SaveSave

I guess there's no point arriving too early then. Hope I don't get stuck right at the back because I'll be on my own. The back is better as there's an aisle in front of the back lot of tables so it's a clear view and more space. They'll fill in spaces with people on their own (there will probably be quite a few) - last time I was there I ended up sitting with Rachel Tucker's family and chatting with them during the interval of her gig! Plus Rachel wandered through the audience and interacted with everyone, so there wasn't really a bad seat! That's good to hear! I'm seeing Rachel in June, but I've never been to this venue before (granted, I can't even remember ever seeing it, and I'm around Picadilly Circus every week). Guys, we should be on Wicked's PR team. Yes, please! They, and every other show, would make a pretty penny if they sold more 'experience' packages - even just for fundraising like Wicked Day. SaveSave

Okay, this has been bothering me and I've been trying to work it out ever since I saw the show, so if anyone could explain this it'd be much appreciated. In the scenes that take place in/near the lake, we see some of the front of the stage open to reveal a pool of water, from which Scorpius and Albus emerge on a couple of occasions. How do they get in and out of the vat of water (or whatever the word is) underneath the stage without it all spilling everywhere? Is it some kind of U bend type thing? Yeah, I think so! Honestly, we were at the very end of the third row (all be it on both sides) so we didn't get a good proper view at it - though we ended up seeing the wings a lot of the time. When we go again in June, I'll see if I can find out, as I'm genuinely curious now. SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave

If they sold a photo with Elphaba or Glinda they'd make a fortune. Or better yet, a photo AS Elphaba or Glinda. A photo as either of them, on the stage, with the ensemble. SaveSave

If they wanted to raise more money for Wicked Day they could easily do something similar over here. I'm honestly surprised they hadn't, and that there wasn't more 'experiences' included in the Wicked Day sale. SaveSave

I just managed to get a £29 ticket for my birthday in September - when I checked yesterday the cheapest tickets they had for that date (19th) was around £50.

Isn't it just certain places that are £30 - the one in London is - as I know the one in Belfast is only £22.50? When you go through all the lists it gives you just the standard tickets for sale - unless I'm missing something It looks like the Meet & Greet tickets are £30 regardless of venue, plus the price of the concert ticket itself which varies depending on venue. As much as I love Rachel, I'd rather spend the extra £30 on seeing another show (or two).

I think the venues just have different prices, for example in The Apex, Bury St Edmunds, their prices are £20 and £26 depending on the seats.

I've clearly missed it, but do you guys know roughly when the cast change will be? 22 July Ah okay, obviously when I'm not in uni I'll have to wait until September to see the new cast

I can't believe I missed getting decently priced tickets for this - I was flying home and couldn't get the wifi to work at the airport 😪 I'll either have to hope for returned tickets or pay for whatever's left😕 I just checked and all the dates say 'sold out' 😒 I just had a look and most dates showed as "limited availability" to me apart from previews. I think it's the way my account is set up, I have one of those student accounts or whatever that get you the £5 tickets and £10 'mate rates' tickets

My least favourite is probably 'Something Bad' or 'Sentimental Man', they're the ones I tend to skip on the soundtrack

Of the post-2010 ilk, I know of one Wicked fan who has seen the show exactly 250 times and another who I believe is somewhere around 230. There's a third fan that is somewhere in the low to mid-200s, not quite sure where though, and I'm on 208, so four 200+ people that I'm aware of but I don't think there's anyone massively above that. There are Billy Elliot, Rent and Les Mis fans who've been over 1000 times so in comparison we're positively normal! (maybe) I use you crazy 200+ people to justify my 22 and validate to friends and family that I'm "normal!" You keep going it helps me out haha! My flatmates think I'm 'crazy' for having seen it four times since September, and my response is always "if only you knew"

I'm assuming because it's by "Magic" that it's been recorded somewhere that I could listen/watch it? (The Disney one a while back was on BBC or Sky Arts not that long ago). I'm still kicking myself for going back to see Daniel Radcliffe tonight instead of this

Yeah, I remember that, but I didn't read through all the plans. Clearly, my friend was (yet again) mistaken. I'm just hoping that now that Phillip is officially retiring, Kate and William might take on a few more royal jobs

To turn the topic off casting so no one gets bored of this thread, I have a question for fans of the show. As itis coming up to my 6th year of being a fan of Wicked, when was everyones firdt time seeing Wicked? Who were your first trio of leads? I'd be intrigued to see the differences in times of people becoming fans of the show! My first time seeing the show was July 13, 2011 with Nikki Davis-Jones, Louise Dearman and Mark Evans. So I was meant to see it in Dublin for the first time when it was touring last, but a dislocated knee stopped me from going. I only (eventually) got to see it last September when I moved to London for uni. Rachel, Suzi and Oliver were my first trio obviously. Willemijn is the only other lead that I've seen. I've only managed to see it four times since moving over, but I'm planning on dayseating it a few times before going back home for the summer :]
