Why God, Why have they capped up the tag line other than the letter 'i' - THE AWARD WiNNiNG BROADWAY MUSiCAL - on the new poster. Is that supposed to show how 'hip' and 'modern' it is?
Overall, I quite like the design though.

Did I hear something about a pre-show talk tonight? Do I need to arrive earlier or still half 7? I'm so excited to see this tonight, I can't wait.

New musical at the St James - 16 July to 27 August www.stjamestheatre.co.uk/theatre/exposure-the-musical/?platform=hootsuiteThe World premiere of a new British MusicalYoung photographer Jimmy Tucker faces the biggest and most exciting challenge of his life when a stranger commissions him to find and shoot the seven deadly sins alive and kicking in modern London. But in a break-neck race through the night, a series of extraordinary encounters involving girlfriends, family history and the intoxicating cult of celebrity begin to reveal that there’s a whole lot more at stake than just money. Weaving a breathtaking, contemporary score around a dazzlingly witty portrait of the price of fame, Exposure is an electrifying and brilliantly original new musical that is simply unmissable. Running Time: Approx. 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval

Hasn't the show, or at least its opening night, been officially supported by The Telegraph? Their logo was on the front page ad in the Standard yesterday...
No wonder its got 4 stars from them.

Any idea what the legroom is like at the front? Off to see this tonight, really looking forward to it! Very tight, there's a small metal bar running around the edge of the stage which the lights and such are attached to, there's not much room between that and the front row. You can rest your feet on the top of it but the FoH staff were having a fit anytime anyone cut across or even stepped on the stage. Left the theatre at about 10:10 last night, I imagine by opening night this will probably be closer to 10.

Just got back from seeing this - fun show with some very catchy songs. Great cast, Florence Andrews can belt like the best of them, Simon Lipkin and Daniel Boys are a dream on stage. I think I preferred Catherine Tate in Assassins, but she has her moments in this, I feel like she could do more with the character, so over the run could be even funnier. DJW looked a little lost for much of act 1 and was looking to Lipkin a lot.
The main criticism at this point is act 2 needs tightening up, some of the scenes dragged and repeated themselves, but that's exactly what previews are for. For a first preview though it was in a pretty good shape.
There's some great little musical references everytime Daniel Boys comes on, which the audience were lapping up - Les Mis and Wicked being the most obvious. Cavin Cornwall was indisposed one day before the first preview, so Gabriel Vick - the writer - had to step in.
Also, anyone who's booked the very cheap seats (aka me) you'll be pleased to know that the there is very little obstruction, occasionally a few actors block your view and its a slightly to the side view, but they're an absolute steal.

Seeing tonight, looking forward to it. I have such a soft spot for Catherine Tate so glad she's back on a London stage.

It's a very simple one but I really loved the sequence where the kids change to adults in Gypsy

I agree with Ryan, Lara's transformation in Gypsy was streaks ahead of anything Emma did. Her Let Me Entertain You was just as heart stopping a moment as Rose's Turn for me.
It wasn't difficult for Emma Williams to steal the show from Tracie Bennett's clunky, brutish performance. I actually think Ian Bartholomew was my favourite part of this show, his singing was beautiful and his number at the end of act 1 was the only part of the show that managed to move me. I'm sure many will think Matt Henry is a shoe in for Best Actor, but I'm glad Bartholomew has been recognised.
I don't think Henderson will win anything on the night.

The final evening seats went to a group who arrived between 1am-2am and the final matinee seats went to a group who arrived at about 4am. Crazy! Now, the only option is to queue for returns.
I arrived at half 2 and got a front row matinee seat, and have now managed to get a ticket for the evening from a lovely seller! Super excited for today!! Power nap is needed though!

I'm really very excited to see this as I never managed to get up to Sheffield. The cast is delectable too, any guesses as to who's going to replace Xavier?
Also, before anyone asks...
DAY SEATS* A limited number of Day Seats are available for personal callers at the New London Box Office from 10am (from Midday on Boxing Day & New Year's Day) on the day of the performance. (Max. 2 per person & strictly subject to availability)

Wow, this was one of my least favourite things I've ever seen. I've never seen it before, so don't know what was the specific production and what was the show in general. But, the first act in particular seemed to consist of a very impressive, but far too loud orchestra, a Liam Neeson projected onto various screens speaking in his usual incoherent mumbling (made worse by the very loud orchestra), a bunch of see through pieces of fabric flying up and down for seemingly no reason, the cast and ensemble walking across the stage and then deciding they'd gone the wrong way and walking back, lots of overreacting to fire, some weird sequence of the ensemble climbing over a chair in slow motion, the mics were all over the place, certainly at the back of the stalls the dialogue was inaudible...
The cast... Why hire Q-list celebrities, when they can't even sing or act?! David Essex got quite a big response, but the rest of them were 'ooo wasn't that that girl who used to be in that girl band, Girls A... No. Misteeq? No oh, the Sugababes.' Daniel Beddingfield's acting consisted of shouting every third word, he also does this very bizarre flasetto A LOT which needs to be seen to be believed. David Essex cannot sing even remotely, but got the second biggest cheer of the night, after Jeff Wayne. Michael Praed and Madelena just looked lost the entire time as well.
The orchestra was very impressive and I cannot fault them and hopefully most of my qualms are down to it being the first preview but blimey. It just wasn't my thing, the story was ridiculous, the music repetitive but still forgettable, the lights were bloody annoying and blinding as well. And if you think you get a break during the interval think again because they blare out more sci-fi noises throughout the auditorium. There were a fair few escapers during the interval and the gentleman next to me couldn't even wait until then.
