Saw this last night - it's just under 3hrs 30 at the minute.
It's 50% incoherent arguing over the top of each other, interrupting each other and impossible to follow any single characters thoughts and 50% genuinely insightful discussion of American ideals, politics and religion.
It's very well acted by the whole cast, but I found the play to be a little overwrought, when it settled down I was truly engaged. Despite the long running time it seemed to fly by for me, quite a few leavers at each interval though. My side circle seat became a lovely central stalls seat at interval 1.
For anyone interested, advertised running time is: Act 1 - 1hr Act 2 - 1hr 15 Act 3 - 55

Are there any good deals with this at the moment? TodayTix has got Table seats in the stalls on offer - £15/£22.50 - down from £48/£72.50

There's no interval at the National - 1hr40 straight through
Still processing my thoughts about this one, but bottom line - it made me sob, as did many others. I've also never felt an atmosphere quite like it as the audience left the theatre - no one really talking to each other.
Also, the programmes are pretty cool - made to look like case notes, complete with folder, well worth £4 if you're a sucker like me for that sort of thing.

So is this the big ENO musical of 2017 or will there still be a musical in April/May like Sweeney, Sunset?

Are there any stars on Broadway you'd love to come over to London for a show, be it a new role or transfer, or just a concert of their own?
My top three would be:
-Sutton Foster -Jessie Mueller -Kelli O'Hara
I'd also love to see Jeremy Jordan do a production over here, ideally Newsies, ahem. Or he could do Finding Neverland as he was robbed of Broadway by Matthew bleeding Morrison.

It's now the interval, amazing atmosphere in the theatre, huge entrance applause for the cast, Suzie and Anita. Rachel's was deafening.
INSANE END NOTE OF DEFYING GRAVITY. Standing ovation from the whole circle

I think I just saw Mr Schwartz too as I arrived. Crazy. I've just made it to my vertigo-inducing row x seat

I'm so excited now, just waiting for these final few hours of work to go by! I'm up at the back of the circle too.

They're probably just aware that there are some 'prolific' recorders about and they're more than likely going to be attending the 10th anniversary show. Probably just an extra clear warning to them.

I'm surprised too, this has been a bumpy ride for her and I would have thought she'd want to move on from the project once it closed at the Savoy. Perhaps, because of the issues she feels she has something to prove to the regional audiences who have only read about the troubles rather than her brilliant performance? Or, hey, maybe she's just really enjoying doing the show and doesn't want it to end!
I think Natasha will continue the momentum she's built in London and continue as Fanny for the dates Sherdian doesn't do.

What are some of those songs that open the floodgates and cause you to uncontrollably sob?
A few of mine are
- It's Quiet Uptown - Hamilton - No One Is Alone - Into the Woods - Always Better - Bridges of Madison County - Alabanza - In The Heights - Not A Day Goes By - Merrily
and I'm not ashamed to say I get a little misty eyed during For Good as well.
Oh God, someone pass the tissues.

She was my favourite thing about the show first time I saw it in October too. Sensational voice. Was less impressed when I saw her again in April though.
Thrilled for her Dreamgirls casting though, can't wait to see her. This cast is amazing!!

I couldn't see the front row on sale for any dates yesterday, does seem to suggest they're holding them back for possible day seat/lottery or something similar?
Ahemmmm.... Ignore me, just read back through this thread *whistles aimlessly*
