Any performer that can sing that close to the score and still make it sound as incredible as she does is really something special. I guess the real question of the night is Were there any jazz hands?LMAO Like if this is an actual thing I totally missed it tonight!

And who was on as Midwife? The actual Midwife was on... 5th cover Midwife came out at stage door seething that she hadn't got to go on for Rachel's last!

I loved the show tonight. So glad I got went. Was it just me or was anyone else extra sad about Katie leaving? What will she do now? Her Wicked Witch of the East was so emotional, she was actually wiping tears as Boq was wheeling her out for the scene. I actually cried with her. KRJ was fierce tonight it was a great performance!

Will write a fuller review tomorrow when I have more battery but it was a fantastic night.
Michael McCabe came on stage and thanked the leavers. Rachel thanked the show for allowing her to tell a story that it's ok to be different, not judge a book by its cover & not to discriminate.
Couldn't be more important a message after recent weeks across the globe!

Suzy Mathers holding the grimmerie in floods of tears at the end just about sums up the emotion of the evening!
Wow.

Epic singing... classy act and masterclass in how to deliver Elphaba.
Power.... wow! That's how to show control & power in singing the score!

Do we know how many performances Rachel will have done as Elphaba when she finishes? Including Broadway, it is around the 1,400/1,500 mark overall, possibly more. Her original run was around the 900/1000, Broadway was around 200/300, and this run was about 100/150. (all approximate haha!) Hey martello736 you're the board's regular statistician!

I've only been in London 15 minutes and I'm freezing already. The day seaters today must be hardcore!

I'm guessing if I said I wanted one seat then purchased another at the box office I'd be in trouble with the spreadsheet controller?! #chaos

+1 So sad I can't make it to London, but halfterm finals are killing me at the moment. For all of you who are going tomorrow, enjoy every minute of it! +2 I am actually in London now, but I couldn't confirm that I'd be able to get to London early enough to get reasonably priced seats for Rachel's last show Are you going to attempt it tomorrow just in case?!

Rachel did the "Jazz Hands" tonight! Genuine question... for someone who has seen the show so often, and knowing that Willemijn is back next week, aaaaand knowing that you're not a fan of Rachel.... why did you go again tonight?!

I nearly passed out when she finished Defying Gravity at the 10th Anniversary. That note nearly killed me, the heat in the Circle, the emotion of the overall show, being there for such a celebration, it was too much, real tear realness. [whispers...] DG finished on the 10th show and my other half turned to me and said "she's a bit shouty isn't she!"

Rndom Did anyone see Alexi Khademe ? Yes, I liked her. Felt sorry for her in a way though as she took over from Kerry not once but twice, right in the height of Kerry mania. Not an easy act to follow... I agree, sandwiched between Ms Ellis pre & post Broadway was always going to put her on the back foot with the super fans. Alexia was my 1st and I fell in love with the show and saw her 4 times, but knowing what I know now about leads, the power just wasn't there and in her belt she seemed to struggle with the upper register. There was an audio of her last performance on Youtube and if she'd sung like that throughout her run, I think her legacy could have been a bit different!

broadway.com are doing such backstage miniseries from time to time. Would be really happy if e.g. WOS were doing the same. Yes the Kara Lindsey and Sheryl Lee Ralph vlogs were brilliant! Sheryl is such a diva she seems a scream back stage!

I really wish Wicked would increase the social media engagement - I'd be having Witch-cam set-up for Saturday if I was in charge, showing behind the scenes as Ms Tucker/Dobson/R-J said their final goodbyes.
I remember when Tuckman had rehearsal videos on YouTube and we had backstage tours etc in a mini-YouTube series too at one point. Oh and when the Standbys ran the twitter account!
What they're doing is clearly working for them, the show sells well but personally I don't feel as engaged as I do with other shows!

Anyone dayseating for Rachel's final performances is gonna have to be on it that morning or have some coin in their pocket, because there is only 10 seats left for the matinee and only 27 left for the evening, all single seats according to the ATG website! Anyone wanting to go, the last seat under £50 for both shows is Q48 in the Dress for the final performance on the ATG website. I'd get moving if you want it, it will go fast being the cheapest left. I thought you were going to say there were already 15 in the queue Haha me too! I guess the queues could start from tonight for any hardcore fans?!

I've noticed it a few times in row B of the stalls, the left hand side seems stable whereas the right hand side kept getting louder as the 1st half went on!

14 Oscar Noms! Amazing! Loved this film a lot, have had all the music stuck in my head since I saw it a week ago. I loved this and also keep singing the themes! I can see it doing well and fingers crossed it's a clean sweep!
