The whole riff thing is interesting... I love a belter & an Elphie who can pin me to my seat with power - but that in my eyes is different to a riff. You can have the power and still sing to the score, thinking about it is probably why NDJ & Willemijn are some of my favourites! They're strong belters in the upper register but aren't as "flashy" as say a Jen Dinoi or Jackie Hughes - both the latter have power and play with the score which works for me. Then there are the Elphie's that don't have power and can't riff. Sadly London has had a few....... I kinda agree actually, like I don't think Rachel is that powerful, apart from a few notes like her team in TWAI, if she does "riff" I find her powerful on the notes she riffs, but not when she sings it to score, sorry ππ

HAHA! Don't worry, I'll make sure to scream the loudest Why would you feel the need to scream in the first place. You seem to be forgetting that this is a theatre not a concert. It's worth bearing in mind that some people here will just be regular theatregoers. Why ruin it for them just to make the point you're the biggest super fan or whatever. That's just incredibly selfish I was joking.

Never said how amazing her riffing was! I said she's really lovely and her growl in NGD was great and next week is gonna be amazing! Never mentioned her riffing so don't make up stuff! Is a growl not a form of riff then? A growl isn't a riff!

Yeah because the only things i like about Rachel's Elphaba are her growls and riffs, and some parts of her acting and i know she's gonna riff and growl a lot on her last show! AliceFearnFan where are you sitting for Rachel's last? Stalls.

I went for Carina! I wish i saw the evening now though. Yet in the last few posts youve expressed excitement about next weekend and Rachels last. Back on topic now though. Im happy now im sorted for both shows next saturday and really looking forward to meeting some fellow theatreboard members Yeah because the only things i like about Rachel's Elphaba are her growls and riffs, and some parts of her acting and i know she's gonna riff and growl a lot on her last show!

Ah yes. He had his photo with Rachel and was saying on Instagram how amazing her riffing is, whilst saying on Twitter the opposite. Thought he wasn't going to bother going to anymore of Rachel's shows... I went for Carina! I wish i saw the evening now though.

I think I saw our infamous Emma/Alice fan lingering around stage door afterwards. Ah yes. He had his photo with Rachel and was saying on Instagram how amazing her riffing is, whilst saying on Twitter the opposite. Never said how amazing her riffing was! It wouldn't surprise me if they cast an existing Elphaba, but I don't think it'll be Laura. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when they've always promoted people it's always been understudy to standby, standby to lead. IF when Willemijn leaves in July, Alice became lead and they brought Laura back as Standby, then yes I could see her getting the tour gig, but I just don't see her (or anyone else) going straight from London 2nd u/s to Tour lead. No, actually I wasn't clear enough. I was hoping for her to be standby on the tour. But standby in London would be even better. She really has to play that role more frequently. I think she went on for Elphaba about 15 times or even less, and aced all of them from what I've heard. She had one bad show in August 2015 but apart from that she smashed the rest

I'm also expectimg Wicked alumni to be cast in the lead roles. Let's see! Laura Emmitt please! Laura said a few months back that if she were to stay in wicked it would be in the west end, unless she's changed her mind of course!

I normally find (from experience) the people that obsess over certain performers only do so because that performer was nice to them (at the stage door for example) and now this person thinks they are friends. It makes me wonder where the interest in the show stops and the obsession with the performer starts. I hope this isn't about me!? I'm not obsessed with anything or anyone! My favourite Elphaba's are Emma and Alice and my favourite Glinda's are Savannah & Helen, i love them all as performers I think they're great! It's not called obsessed or anything like that, it's called love and support! And that's what I give them 4 women!

3 years. Interesting topic starter that. Ive loved the show since it opened in London. Loved Idina especially early in the run in a cast that included someone who remains Morrible to me whenever i see them on TV. Not point scoring, just curious to know how long others have had Wicked in their lives. Seemingly unusual here but for me the show very much comes first. I have portrayals of characters that ive enjoyed more than others over the years but its the show that keeps me going back Yeah whatever the casting was I would still go back, it's funny because I've never disliked a certain Elphaba or Glinda, I just have my favourites that's all!

Daniel, you've recently got into the show and I love your enthusiasm I really do but the "I know something you don't know" thing is tiresome. People on here have forgotten more about Wicked than you have ever known! Also a word of advice, it's not always a good idea to post things you hear said at stage door on public forums. I've been a fan of wicked for nearly 3 years now I know it's not as long as most of you aha but I do understand that it's tiresome aha, I'll stop saying things nowππ I just wanted to let you lot know that's all, and I've only mentioned a couple rumours and a couple facts that's it, but I won't mention anything else let's talk about willemijn and Alice shall we aha

Can we please stop. This argument happens on every page at the moment you bunch of wind up merchants! π Let's have a positive conversation about the next couple of weeks where have exciting last and first shows to discuss. Aha, I probs only gonna see willemijn a few times. I'm mainly gonna go for my favourite Elphaba(alongside Emma), Alice Fearnπ

Just because i know a few more things than you do, doesn't mean I'm the God of Wicked. Making up stories in your head so that your favourite Elphaba comes out on top isn't knowing a few more things love. ... and I am assuming you are just referring to knowing stuff about Wicked and not life in general... Ok whatever... I'm not making up stuff! Everything I say is correct info!

Why are you causing arguments? The casting directors didn't think Laura was ready and that she needed more experience in the industry, Laura didn't want 1st u/s she wanted standby! I'm not causing arguements love. Just referring to the fact that you make out you are involved in the show, like you are God of Wicked, like you know everything that is going on, when you really don't. You aren't in the rehearsal room, you aren't involved in casting, you have no idea about it at all. All love, sometimes love hurts mama. Just because i know a few more things than you do, doesn't mean I'm the God of Wicked.

Because Alice is better than Laura? aha! if you mean as Standby last year, than the reason to that was because they thought Laura wasn't ready! That might make sense if Alice actually was better than Laura. Kidding, we all have our opinions. (But I do think Laura is better tbh). How was she not ready? Every time she went on she blew the roof off. They could have given her 1st understudy in the meantime. Unless Laura didn't want that, which would be understandable. Have you even see Alice yet? As i just said, Laura didn't want 1st U/S.

Let me guess, don't like Laura too because she was a vocally better Elphaba than Emma? Ooooo you know how to test a bitches patience. Again, i put them emoji's because in the future there's a high chance Laura will come back! Why are you bringing Emma into this! Emma is a pint sized powerhouse as some newspaper said a few months back! Laura is amazing too! I personally prefer Laura to Rachel! That's your opinion and you find Laura vocally better than Emma, personally i think they're both vocally amazing! Now please can we stop mentioning Emma!

Why are you causing arguments? The casting directors didn't think Laura was ready and that she needed more experience in the industry, Laura didn't want 1st u/s she wanted standby!

She and McQueen auditioned for standby Elphaba, but they didn't get it clearly, Alice got it which I'm so happy about because I love Alice! Rumour has it, Alice is replacing Willemijn and Laura & McQueen are auditioning for standby again! Let's hope Laura gets it this time! I don't understand why they'd pick Alice over Laura. Because Alice is better than Laura? aha! if you mean as Standby last year, than the reason to that was because they thought Laura wasn't ready!

Lets get Laura Emmitt Back as full time Elphaba I say! We do need her back. I doubt they'll immediately bump her up to lead, but I can see her get the standby gig. I was actually expecting her to be the standby for this cast. She and McQueen auditioned for standby Elphaba, but they didn't get it clearly, Alice got it which I'm so happy about because I love Alice! I know I will be attacked for this comment but I promise I am not trolling. I do not get the Willemijn obsession. I do not feel like she connects with the lyrics she is singing. Particularly at the end of Defying Gravity. Her "ahhh ahhhhhh ahhhhhhh" sounds very head voicey also. She can sing but something about her voice is displeasing to my ears. I can see where you're coming from! I find some notes that Rachel does a bit displeasing to my ears, not all the time but sometimes. So I fully understand your point Willemijn is my first and I only saw her once so I'm really excited to see her again!

I sure hope Suzie stays, and I wouldn't ,ind Oliver staying either. He is my favourite Fiyero and she is London's best Glinda (or matched with Louise), would be a shame for her to leave. Oliver's supposed to me leaving A few people have said Suzie is leaving too but i doubt it as she's not been here long and she's wanted to be Glinda on the West End for years! A few ensemble members are leaving too that i know of, can't reveal this info though
