Yeah! The tour is closing at the beginning of July so I would say Guangzhou will be the final stop... Not entirely sure on that one! What's your source for the tour closing? You keep saying it's closing in July, but you never give a source. The information is only useful if it's come from a credible source, otherwise, it's just a rumour... Tour is closing on the 2nd of July, I have connections to the cast

Seems the Shanghai stops still on based on Jackie's Mar 15 tweet. Yeah! The tour is closing at the beginning of July so I would say Guangzhou will be the final stop... Not entirely sure on that one!

"Your Elphaba has been off more than mine..." "Your Elphaba has had more vocal damage than mine..." There is supporting your favourite and there is also being downright rude and disrespectful! Remember, these are the fellow cast members and perhaps even good friends of those you DO like. The cast would be far from impressed with some of the stuff posted on here, believe me. Don't assume they don't see it either. Sometimes it is useful to remember the main messages of this show... understanding, tolerance, respect of differences etc etc. Need I go on?! It wasn't me who brought it up, it was Aidan.

Wonderful performance this afternoon. Best I've seen in years. Good to hear! Especially as Helen is on as Glinda 😍

If completely honest, alot of the younger generation of Wicked fans just need to grow up like the older fans have. The way some (you hear that, SOME, not all) come across is not as fans of the show at all. It is disrespectful and rude more than anything. And it is clear alot of the cast feel that way too. But that will come, with growing up, which some of them just need to do. I think you should read that at least 5 times Aidan.

"it's clear it was quite a strain for her and I'm surprised she didn't do damage to her voice if I'm honest "
It's often difficult to do vocal damage when you call out for a half week worth of shows each fortnight. I really wish you would leave. You going on about vocal damage when your favourite Elphaba had to call out due to Vocal Damage.

I get what you mean, and I agree, Emma's diction did suffer when she tried to hit the more difficult notes - and I think as she got further into her run, she had a tendency to mumble important lines, possibly due to the fact she was just running through the motions in her head. The one that got me was "it's not her, she ha.... *mumble mumble* I'M THE ONE YOU WANT!!!!!" It just felt so unnatural and like she was deliberately trying to manufacture an opportunity to growl a note that didn't need to be growled. I don't mind a few well placed riffs, it's not the defining factor in whether a show is any good or not, but it can add to an already strong performance. Yes, I have to agree - a strange acting choice. The 'she has nothing to do with it line' is always lost completely. It wasn't always "Lost". I have tons of recordings of Emma and most of them i can hear what she's saying completely fine.

AliceFearnFan2212, I'm pretty sure you posted on here before telling us all Rachel had done "the jazz hands" too. I think when people start noticing little details like "the jazz hands" it's time to take a break from Wicked. Or any show. Rachel did them once but i wasn't there when she did them. And don't tell me to take a break from Wicked.

I've seen her several times, she's very good. She's probably more "to the book" than Willemijn but she has a powerful voice and is one of the most consistent Elphabas the show's ever had. To the best of my knowledge she's never had a dodgy show so you're in safe hands. She might have safe hands, but can she do the jazz hands? 👐 She doesn't no, I've only seen a few Elphabas who do it, Emma, Natalie and Laura.

Sadly Verkaik won't be on at the week that I will see the show. How good is Alice Fearn in this role? Has anyone in this thread saw her playing Elphaba? Alice is AMAZING!! Honestly you'll be blown away! I've seen her seven times as Elphaba so far and she's definitely my favourite alongside Emma Hatton and that doesn't mean that if you didn't like Emma you won't like Alice because that's not true, they're completely different, a few similarities though! Her acting is simply stunning, as one of my friends said the other day, she manages to balance anger and vulnerability perfectly and she can switch between the two in an instant which I personally love! Honestly though i've seen 10 Elphabas which isn't much compared to some people but out of the 10 I've seen, Alice is up there with being the most powerful!

That's okay, haha. I would never be one of the irritating fans, except ironically Thank ya Jesus! Welcome to the Wicked fans who appreciate the performance and enjoy it as it happens rather than plan every reaction before you see the show! I wasn't the one who planned to cheer btw, i just got told too so i did.

Disclaimer: I haven't seen Willemijn live and yes I'm just going of audio's I have listened to over the years and I'm planning on seeing before she leaves London. But, does anybody else find her vocals a bit dull? She has a great voice but I always feel they're lacking a little bit of character - she sounds quite plain? She's one of those who sounds incredible live, so do go and see her and I'm sure you'll be impressed I thought she was the second-most vocally powerful actress I've seen in the role, after Ms Tucker. Take it you haven't seen Alice yet

It was Rachel's one so she riffed on "felt" too, my friend said it was amazing and I believe them, and it's Alice Fearn, everything she does is amazing Speaking of Rachel, why are you going to see her in concert when you called her constantly throughout her Wicked run? I am genuinely curious! I like her as a person and I love her voice, just wasn't keen on her Elphaba.

Alice did an AMAZING "Things I've Never Felt" riff tonight! 😍💚 Was that the only thing that was good about tonight? If that is the only thing you can tell us about, a second of stage time? Damn Wicked, you've let yourself go! If I was there I would of posted a review or something but I wasn't, my friend was

I'm actually really excited for Rachel's Live at Zedel Gigs at the end of the month, I'm going on the Thursday and i'm actually really looking forward to it, We all know my views on her Elphaba (not my fave/overrated) But I love her non wicked songs so I'm very excited! Very intrigued to see who the special guests will be too!

Kerry Enright is on as Madame Morrible all of next week (6th-11th of March) Alongside Alice who will be on till Wednesday! This will be Kerry's last 8 shows as Morrible as she's leaving us to go and have a baby! Her last show in Wicked will be the 25th of March, but she has said numerous of times that she'll most likely come back in the next couple of years or so

Strange how performances resonate in different ways isn't it - I genuinely felt like her voice in the mid-range didn't carry enough substance for INTG. I never 'got' that song when Rachel sang it, it always felt like a gap filler - but has been one of my favourite moments with other actresses. I really liked her Elphaba, she's in my top 10 out of the 20-something actresses I've seen, I just think her mid-range let's her down. On the other hand, I'm in the minority with you re: Dianne P's glinda! Love the woman, loved her in everything I've seen her in except Glinda!! INTG is one of my favourite songs from the show and i've seen it performed by 10 Elphabas and Rachel's version is my least favourite, so I 100% agree of what you're saying about that.

Was looking back at the forum and saw this and I'm sorry but I can't stop laughing! #Savage 😂 😂 😂 It's not really "savage." Michael just doesn't rate Rachel, the same way most of the forum didn't enjoy Emma 😉 True, i was just laughing that someone has the same opinion as me aha

Disappointed to hear that Rachel is returning, but I'm incredibly happy that Alice Fearn is the new s/b Elphaba. Seems I'll have to continue to book my London trips according to the main Elphaba's vacation schedule. Was looking back at the forum and saw this and I'm sorry but I can't stop laughing! #Savage 😂 😂 😂
