Even though the website did stop working after I had submitted everything I did just get an email with the voucher which was good, glad it worked and I managed to get one. Hope that yours worked too Jacob. Did you get to a confirmation page beyond the 2nd page where you insert your postcode and full name? just stuck loading for me before not going through. A shame !! not the end of the world though This is similar to what I had - I entered my details and hit “Claim Voucher” and even now the page is still stuck with the loading wheel, the page didn’t crash or anything. I emailed the address that the Theatre Tokens twitter account shared, who have replied to say I have claimed a voucher but to give it an hour or two to come through. We will see what happens and if I do actually get a voucher or not.

I know they do the lottery for this (which I’m signed up for), but do they do day seats as well? They don’t do day seats, but they do dynamic price so sometimes there are cheaper tickets (less than £50) available in the Royal Circle and Stalls, usually singles rather than pairs. Also, if you’re able to stand, when the show is sold out or close to sold out, they release standing tickets for the back of the Royal Circle and Stalls (price varies between £15 and £20)

Moulin Rouge hasn’t extended past September yet but I would expect it to based on how it’s been selling. They do engage in dynamic pricing on the day - for example, for today’s matinee you can currently get central seats in the 4th row of the Royal Circle for £55 (would normally be >£100).

You should re-enter the queue at the same point if your connection drops. I'm still at 3,500 ahead of me in the queue. This is going to sound ultra churlish, but I question the sense of Old Vic blanket emailing people with reminders for the PwC tickets. If it really matters, surely people should set themselves a reminder of the date/time. Of course, if I was number 27 in the queue I probably wouldn't care! :-) I had a reminder on my calendar which was actually two weeks in the future (28th) and that was taken directly from the website quite a while back. Obviously they brought this forward so I’m very glad for the email. Yes, I had it in my calendar for the 28th as well. I was busy earlier and so didn’t see the email until nearly 1pm.

Has anyone tried the box office day seats for this? If so, where are they located? We had back row of the circle, round the side (G74 I think it was, or close to it) - distant but a really good view

Sad to see nothing for Bonnie & Clyde. Wasn’t eligible. Yes, it was. A list of eligible productions was published before the nominations were announced (linked on page 2)

Lots of opinions on here I agree with. Saw the show last week and very much “admired” it. The direction, the performances, the script/set etc. Excellent. But I would have been far more satisfied with the ending of Poppy had told her ex where to go and continued to make a succes of her life without her. Just didn’t need a soppy ending. Also, songs? Impressively sung and arranged but too LONG and most of the time stopped the storytelling dead. I saw the show on Wednesday night and this does a really good job of summing up how I felt about it as well.

Lucie has just performed her 8th Defying Gravity of the week! Meaning this is her first 8 show week she’s done since October I believe! She didn't perform the Wednesday matinee (Feb 15th), I was there and it was Amy Webb. Unless that performance doesn't count towards Lucie's 8 shows of course, but I thought there were only 8 shows a week. I've seen Wicked 4 times since Lucie took over and haven't managed to catch her on once. It was school half term week so there may have been an additional matinee, and if that’s the case she did 8 shows out of 9 possible.

Well… & on the subject of the prop papers, I would’ve had one except a woman literally lunged to snatch it from where it landed on my feet the moment the act ended. The fans acting like that are a bit intense. At least they waited until the end of the act - when I went people were getting up out of their seats and going to different rows/across aisles to get them immediately, whilst the show was still going on.

Completely forgot about this, but just managed to get a Pinter stage seat with the link from the previous page.
I got confused. I thought the stage seats were £25, but when I got into the part to select date and seat, there was nothing under £77.50. I gave up
If I was logged in to my account, it removed the promo code associated with the stage seats to make them visible so I had to book without logging in and will have to try and get ATG to refund me the booking fee.

Karl Queensborough is back to play Alexander Hamilton today. There were a lot of covers on for the matinee yesterday, including borrowing previous cast from other shows as mentioned above. I would imagine the announcement of the cancellation didn’t come much after the decision was made that the performance would have to be cancelled.

I heard a rumour it will be west side story next Christmas. I wonder if it will be the Curve production - I had heard it was supposed to go to Leeds in 2020 but Covid put a stop to it.

If you’re going to be travelling from Gatwick directly to Wembley, you don’t want to get a Gatwick Express train, as they only go to Victoria and then it’s a bit of hassle to get down to the tube if you have any heavy bags/cases (to be honest I would advise never getting the Gatwick Express as it’s really not that much quicker than the Southern or Thameslink services for a quite a bit more money). If you’re wanting to go directly to Wembley from the airport, as has previously been mentioned, a Thameslink train to Farringdon and then changing to the Metropolitan line is the easiest option.
To add, if you are unable to get Oyster cards at Gatwick, you could buy paper Travelcards or use contactless cards, and then sort out the Oyster cards for the remaining days of your trip once your in London proper. And yes, you can use Oyster on any train services between Gatwick and London.

Thanks once again for the reply and useful information. This is turning into a bit of..hassle to say the least. Well, to be honest, i was as the strike days do not fall going out...im thinking of 'risking it' re the Thameslink. Recommendation is not to travel between 13th and over xmas....but, with you knowing London, do you think will be ok re gatwick -getting into London? Possible reduced service, bit more of a waiting time perhaps. But overall, do-able? Basically, i sense Wembley is some distance from Gatwick...so long as can get into central London should we be ok. Not impossible regardless of whatever 'strikes' are thrown at us. I hear Tubes strikes voted to carry on...hopefully not over before xmas...else i would assume that would be a total distaster! Even on rail strike days, there will be both Thameslink and Southern trains between Gatwick and London. On strike days, there will be a reduced service but there are still plenty of trains, and they start later (not before 07:00) and finish early (usually between 17:30 and 18:00). The only days with no Thameslink trains running are Christmas Day and Boxing Day. (I commute from Gatwick to London)

I prefer the new cast to the original cast! Does Jamie do all 8 shows each week or does he have a show off Like Melissa? He does all 8 shows (obviously barring illness etc)

I don't buy the explanation of his withdrawal in the slightest. If you have a serious hamstring injury, you demonstrate just a bit of a limp. Or something. But there was nothing. He wanted to leave on his own terms which is understandable but he actually deserved to be properly eliminated for being the worst dancer. Very glad he has gone. To be fair, if I remember correctly, it had been discussed on It Takes Two and there were certainly a few moments after their performance yesterday where he seemed to be struggling with/clutching his hamstring.

Is there a way to get cheaper tickets for this closer to the day? My friend and I are going to London in November and would love to see this. However, the “cheapest” seats that are next to each other on that day are 145£ each which is definitely too much. Do tickets get cheaper as the date gets closer or do they sell them cheaper at the box office, if we ask them nicely? Or is it really just “pay an insane amount of money or miss out” with this show? If there are still a fair amount of seats available, they do seem to engage in dynamic pricing closer to the performance. I’ve also seen them release extra seats for performances, but I haven’t been able to work out if this is done at a set period of time before a performance (ie two weeks, a week etc) or just randomly. Alternatively, if you are able to and willing, they release standing tickets if the show sells out or is close to a sell out.

It was very apparent that Shirley Ballas gave someone an 8 because she couldn’t find whatever paddle she wanted to use. When Claudia very wisely double checked with her, Ballas lied and laughed it off. That is how seriously the judges take the marking, which explains a lot. A 7, but she’d registered a 6 when they have to enter their scores so the graphics team can be ready. It’s happened in the past that a judge has accidentally entered a different score to the one they actually wanted to give.
