If it's past midnight in the UK (which I'm pretty sure it is as I type), the live recording is available in the UK (just not here where I am in the States). SiriusXM Satellite Radio has been playing ExWives every hour today - and .... it sounds really darn good

There will be a US Broadway cast recording. And the suggestion on twitter is that it will have 18 tracks.

We dont usually book in advance but this time we have Bonnie & Clyde evening of 25 June, Jerusalem on 1 July and Legally Blonde on 2 July. Still looking for slot for &Juliet but others seemed like we needed to book for if we wanted to see them

I haven't seen this production (being in the states and all) but did watch (most) of the Oliviers on YouTube and I thought Ms. Lennox was brilliant - Granted I know the show and can see what they were going for - so, that performance sold the show for me. And while we will be in London in late June I see she will be gone as of 25 June. I can't speak to how non-regular theatregoers will react who are expecting Liza Minelli and big belting singing - but then, how many non-theatregoers will even watch?

We MAY, COVID permitting, be returning (finally) to London/UK in late June as spouse's Oxford conference is tentatively set to resume in late June - she thinks it is June 26-30 - I am free to travel from Oxford to London for theatre on my own (so long as I don't see anything she wants to see) during that week, but the days before and after are for she and me to jointly see shows. It looks like many shows are closing around June 18. I know about Cabaret and Jerusalem (sold out!) Cinderella might be on the list - I would like to see &Juliet if it is playing.

I appear to have joined 15 Jan 2016 (from the States) - don't know how I was in early! COVID has prevented any trips to London and environs, so I don't peruse these boards as often - but this site was invaluable in discovery streaming shows (because the UK was so far ahead of the US on that front) both live and recorded. (Although I was only able to watch the first act of the musical version of Wuthering Heights....) perhaps, appropriately, there is this defense of message boards which references Theatreboard, but identifies only two posters by name both from BroadwayWorld - Defense of Theatre Message Boards
(hmm, my user name seems to have changed - it was ggersten)

They missed a chance at getting some product placement dollars. In the song Pretty Pretty Girl, they should have included the phrase "Pretty Pretty Princess" which is a board game here in the States. (And I will just ignore that the game wasn't available until 1990) Pretty Pretty Princess

A few friends of mine are involved in this production and it is absolutely going to resume performances as soon as the isolation period has ended for the affected cast member. ALW’s careless statement is completely in character- but NOT helpful, or fair to everyone relying on the show to pay their bills. It of course now turns into a logistical nightmare that they somehow have to sort out an alternative opening night when tickets have been sold for all performances as regular shows. These poor box office staff. What a job right now. Confessions of Box Office Manager used to end with "but, hey, nobody died."

Is Henry L just getting more and more bonkers - in the two nights I've watched, it was almost as if his sole purpose was to promote chaos. Not that that is a bad thing. It might be fun to see him as Oscar's twin brother hosting one night (I apologize for not knowing if this has already happened) FWIW, I really admired Susan Henderson in Angstronauts. I hadn't seen her before. She seemed like quite the driving originating spirit of many bits and went well with how the others tried to drive scenes. If you ever get the chance, see Susan Harrison's two person improv shows Beings, usually at Hoopla in London Bridge, with Andrew Gentilli and These Folk with fellow Showstopper alumni Justin Brett. Well, it may be some time before I get back to London (or am even able to leave the States) - but I will look for her!

Angstronauts - a space/teen movie The midnight matinee - really enjoyable, very enthusiastic audience and a genuinely good movie. Henry Lewis was out to cause chaos which was hilarious, but there were a lot of great songs and scenes, some for comedy, and some because they were actually decent - some of the scenes between Niall and Nancy were very good in particular, and I also liked the Susan and Henry L duo as well. Charlie corpsing on multiple occasions was very funny. It finished on a high note with a lovely message. I laughed heartily when Henry L took his “helmet” off to sacrifice himself and immediately hit the floor. The mirror bits were as excellent ordered

On a visit, we stumbled upon Sir John Soane’s House/Museum. Packed with “stuff” and actually interesting. We also were taken to some medieval manor in a suburb south of London but dont recall location or name! It was small but not busy so plenty of time to examine and wander
