Operation Mincemeat - but it has a much discussed pricing pattern - that is not difficult to explain (one price for all seats, but different prices on different days) - but is confounding. Monday is the least expensive day and Mondays are showing sold out through 12 August.

The show is a trifle. Entertaining but not a "can't miss", in my opinion. A cross/inspired/ borrowing of Romy & Michele with Only Murders in the Building (Second Season). I think it shows its fringe origins. There was a lot of mugging on stage by everyone other than Kathy/Stella. (Y'all call it "mugging" when actors exaggerate facial expressions especially when reacting or not speaking?) The songs were fine, but nothing that really stood out. We had the alternate or US for Phylicia Taylor et al and I thought she was terrific in the role(s). In some ways, this reminded me of "The Other Josh Cohen" - I don't know if that has ever played the UK. Since I can't figure out how to upload the photo, I posted it on Twitter/X and here is the stage (I was in row H). x.com/theatreflats/status/1803727578374479962

Am at interval. As others said, stage is insanely high. Will try to upload photo later. Sound also is too loud and mix isnt great. The Ambassadors isnt big enough to require amplification. But enjoying the show

Does anyone have a link to watch online? X Clips of performances and some speeches here: the full show does not seem to want to play for me (I'm in Oxford for a few days) www.cbs.com/shows/tony_awards/

I spent SO MUCH on tickets for the first preview 🤦♂️ Oh well, I am so excited to see this show again. We booked early and our seats are now less expensive but I was able to trade to a closer stalls seat for same price.

I just received my tickets for Two Strangers and saw a big 150 on the email noting the theatre is celebrating 150 years of existence. (Insert snark here about how not much has changed) And now I see there is a Gala on 24 June to be hosted by Stephen Fry. Proceeds to help the Criterion's program of free tickets to 12-21 year olds (although the gala is noted 14+) We are leaving the UK on 24 June so won't be attending. I don't know how much this has been promoted - or how many tickets have just been handed out - but the booking page shows lots of seats available for purchase. www.criterion-theatre.co.uk/150thanniversarygala?eventid=10401

We are booked for matinee on 22 June - Row E - and then realized, oops, it's West End Live - will we get Tutty and Gift. I asked the Criterion box office and they replied that there were no current plans for them to be off on 22 June and that, if they were to perform at West End Live, it likely would be Sunday. So, Two Strangers is not performing on Saturday - but is performing only on Sunday. So, it looks like we will get Tutty and Gift!

Not that it answers your question, but, Gates open Saturday at 10:15 and Sunday at 11:15. That gives 45 minutes to fill the Square before the shows start.

A friend of mine is visiting London and has booked Hadestown, but has hearing issues and wondering about what accommodations the Lyric makes or what listening assisted devices are available. Thanks.

NO! You can't cut stop - every show needs an unnecessary tap number!

If you buy a solo "standard" ticket in a time slot, do they match you up with others? How difficult to get from Viola to Ambassadors Theatre. TFL says 30-40 minutes.

How early do people queue for this? What time should I be arriving to actually get in? Reports on this board last year had people queuing up at 4 a.m. I don't know when doors open, but the Square was at capacity pretty quickly, I believe. Also, existing shows would be the first to be presented as the actors need to get back to their theatres for the Saturday and Sunday matinees. Last year's thread: West End Live 2023 Comments

Going to be in Oxford the week of 16 June and this new play by Bartlett is being performed. it doesn't sound like much of a play - or frankly, that interesting, but with Bartlett as author, I am intrigued.

I saw this after closing was announced, managing to get a third row Stalls Rush ticket. The technical stuff is all quite impressive and Sheridan gives an excellent performance. I'm not sure this was ever good material for a musical. van Hove already did a non-musical stage adaptation of the film. He must really feel a connection to the source material. And he has enough of a reputation to get people to produce his visions.

It is possible Mincemeat goes to start at a non-"Broadway" theatre such as St. Ann's Warehouse which has had several UK imports such as Let The Right One In; People Places & Things; Young Vic's Streetcar, and other shows.

I wonder why the Dutch couldn't have substituted in a different singer than Klein for the Grand Finale. Looking at the Jury Final performance, it doesn't seem like Klein is that intergral to the song - and it is, supposedly, a song contest and not a performance contest. Any West End understudy could step in and do better! (in my opinion)

Sales are poor based on seat plans, even for performances coming soon. It'll take off after press and review - but on a three month run perhaps with deals. Yes it's commercial theatre this time, but at these prices, and holding these values perhaps they're helping particular groups of people to see it: "We all felt a responsibility to make the play, primarily, for those who know what it is to live with addiction, for them to feel represented and seen" - MacMillan interviewed ahead of remount. We booked 21 June when booking opened. it's our only weekend in the UK. Just checked and there are no tickets sold around us (center of first row of dress circle).

Almost semifinal time. I have not listened to any of the songs nor watched videos nor checked the betting odds. I wont be able to watch live in US. So the pressing question: will UK be on the left side?
