Simon Friend might have been better off transferring his production of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in this slot.

Would you see much in front row of traverse?

The Donmar often says limited availability but appears sold out when you click. I think the availability is only for access patrons in those instances. Other theatres may be similar.

Death Note in Concert is running at the Lyric Shaftesbury Avenue between 7th and 10th September so it seems that Nimax haven't managed to secure a production to fill the complete 13 week gap between Aspects and Peter Pan Goes Wrong. I felt sure this would have gone in (it still might but could only do up to 10 weeks now).

I saw the Denise Gough version at the Abbey and it was superb, with a great supporting cast and set.
This sounds promising though. I thought Alison Oliver was really excellent in Best Interests.

A piece in the Times theatre newsletter says that if you have a seat onstage and miss the 6.30pm deadline to be there, you may not get in.

I think Dear England is earmarked for the Gillian Lynne next year but it would be great if they could bag an immediate transfer this year and still do a further stint next year. Miss Saigon would be a good fit. Standing at Sky's Edge is going into Gillian Lynne after Crazy For You I mentioned this in the 'what's next' thread in general chat, but maybe Chichesters The Sound Of Music. It would be a solid crowd pleaser that is ready to go for a festive season. Maybe get a name for the Captain. Dear England after SATSE.

The Windsors went to the Prince of Wales so why couldn't Dear England go in here? I don’t disagree but the Prince Edward is a much bigger theatre and has not had a play in there for at least the last 45 years in my memory. I imagine Dear England might go to the lyric? With Miss Saigon going to the Prince Edward? I think Dear England is earmarked for the Gillian Lynne next year but it would be great if they could bag an immediate transfer this year and still do a further stint next year. Miss Saigon would be a good fit.

I would have said Dear England but Mr.Barnaby is probably right they haven’t had a play in there in my lifetime. Miss Saigon makes the most sense as most other non Mackintosh buildings probably wouldn’t touch it. The Windsors went to the Prince of Wales so why couldn't Dear England go in here?

It will be an absolute travesty if this closes early.

I see that Martin Shaw and Jenny Seagrove have been cast in the second Windsor summer play, Alone Together.

Starting at the Haymarket from 27th September until 16th December with Felicity Kendal, Jonathan Coy and Alexander Hanson. trh.co.uk/whatson/noises-off/How curious. So the tour is continuing alongside West End? Looks that way, cast is different.

Haymarket, but indeed it doesn't match with the touring dates so maybe not. Starting at the Haymarket from 27th September until 16th December with Felicity Kendal, Jonathan Coy and Alexander Hanson. trh.co.uk/whatson/noises-off/

Is this finally ending in the West End on 17th Sept at the Apollo? No harm to them but I've just had a horrible thought it might try the Haymarket next.

Neil Morrissey was on Sunday Brunch and was talking about the audience participation. Sounded pretty full-on!

Really odd phrasing on the official website: "The strictly limited season of Aspects of Love will end at the Lyric Theatre on 19th August 2023 prior to the company’s summer break". Too much information ending up sounding like an excuse. As if the members of the company all found they had holiday....or it's a break and they'll be back somewhere else? (I don't think so). Really would have been better to gift Michael Ball's idea for a production to a regional theatre, and then if it turned out to be a revelation bring it in for a very limited season. I'd say that's the way to go with some other Lloyd Webber shows. What a weird thing to say on the website!

Yep back in October - one assume he's off to make a film is he doing Moonflower Murders? He mentioned reprising his Suffolk accent.

Haymarket, but indeed it doesn't match with the touring dates so maybe not. There's a 19 week gap at the Haymarket between Anarchist and Dorian Gray, so there could be a 12 week season of something between September and December and then Noises Off could do 6 or 7 weeks over Christmas after its tour. Could work.

Hearing this is returning as a filler, but not sure how likely that is with its tour dates. Any ideas where, Mark? Tour runs from 23rd August to 2nd December so it can't really do the Lyric slot.

It seems a real shame that this is closing early.
Hopefully something decent will be replacing it and not dross.

Absolutely fantastic. Went in with no real knowledge or expectations and it ended up being the best play I’ve seen all years. Daniel Rigby was absolutely phenomenal. Obviously it’s a farce so among the genius there are some broader moments of levity but for the most part this is a stunning, hilarious and powerful piece of theatre. Five stars. Was it busy?

I know Bill Kenwright is the Executive Producer of Theatre Royal Windsor and that he has to programme it but I always wonder how a show like this can sustain such a lengthy run in a smallish place.
