I cant lie I really liked Debbie and Danielle! Debbie sounds (and looks) terrific and Danielle's take really works for me.
Not keen on Millie I'll admit, but I thought it was better than lots of people are saying...

Well I watched it. Good grief. I was slack jawed... Just what are they thinking?!
This is straight out of a cabaret night at a reasonably priced British caravan park. It's exactly like the evening entertainment I remember at "Killigarth Manor Resort" in Cornwall growing up as a child.
Absolutely horrendous!

The thing is…Debbie was good-ish, but it was quite mannered and a bit of a laboured ‘impression’ at times. Danielle sounded fab just singing it with only a couple of (only ok) Cher type vocal ticks. But what on earth was Millie doing? I’m not a fan in the first place, but I put that down to her always playing the annoying over the top character…Maureen in Rent, annoying one in Be More Chill, Boleyn etc but this was next level nothing. Decide who is directing Arlene (I know its a struggle since Karen Bruce doesn’t do it for you anymore) and give these poor girls something to do!!!

Debbie, yes. Danielle, yes. Milie....no!
Also their voices don't gel well together, do they have many group numbers together in the show or are they mostly solos?

I am on a lot if Cher groups on Facebook and some fans are really disappointed. I knew I would never like it so never had plans to see it.

Seeing this on Saturday, and really interested to see if they have made an changes to the structure/songs in the show, since its being billed as a 'Brand New Production'.
Anyone seeing it tomorrow night?

Anyone seeing it tomorrow night? From one of the promotional videos, Danielle as Lady seems to be singing Turn Back Time, whereas it always opened with SJB as Star singing it, so there's likely to be a fair few changes.

I’m not saying I don’t like Cher, but I’m not invested. I think this might be an advantage when seeing this?

Saw this tonight and it was phenomenal, do not be put off by the This Morning performance, all three chers were sublime and played it to perfection. As for the song list, many of them are snippets from the songs so a bit misleading. In fact, my one criticism would be that I would have liked some of the bigger songs played in full. Still feel very lucky to have seen this on opening night and will absolutely be catching it again on tour.

Ditto everything said above by oxydrive. Been to many opening nights over the years and this felt very, very special - an event! Can I just say that I adore the Curve Theatre. It is one of my fave theatres ever.Such a friendly, chilled out place and we always get free parking two minutes away on side roads(after 6pm). Finished at 10.15pm. Had a quick word with Dani to wish her well before the show.Oti and Arlene happily mixing with the punters in the interval. Before show starts,a warning about singing along on the voiceover but the audience were brilliant. In fact after seeing dozens of shows at The Curve over the years,I’ve never seen any bad behaviour there. Vocal performances from all three ladies was sublime. The characterisation worked really well and having the three ‘stages’ of Cher’s life talking to each other opened up some really creative opportunities. Loved the set and costumes.Big thumbs up to the lighting design. Reviewing it officially for our site in a few days so looking forward to a return visit. You are allowed to film the finale so those interested will be able to track down some footage somewhere I’m sure Choreo very dynamic. A very witty book with some cracking one-liners. Debbie’s speech just before the finale about how to get up when you’ve been knocked down again and again by life had me in tears-very emotional stuff. Very creative way of realising the passing of the years on stage. Merch - lots of it - mugs, fridge magnets, various t-shirt designs, brochures at a tenner and progs at four quid. A damn good night out. Didn’t really know that much about Cher and this made me want to know more about her life story. Perfect in my opinion.

I have bought 3rd row tickets for this (mainly because of Oti and Arlene`s choreography). I have just realised I am going to have to stand up and dance.

For some theatregoers, getting up and dancing is the best bit. Isn't that right, our david? Personally, I'm not sure I could keep going for nearly 7 minutes!

I think if I were ever to see "something like this" (which to be fair would never happen) I wouldn't be up dancing... I think only a couple of shows ever got me up dancing.
