Danielle Steers looks the most like Cher but I didn’t enjoy her Dead Ringer For Love in Bat Out Of Hell. I’m such a massive Cher fan but I have no desire to see this show especially after seeing clips of the Broadway show. Whenever I hear her sing though i think she sounds like Cher

She sounds nothing like Cher. She has a deep voice, but that’s it. I could see her making it work enough for the show, though. Which songs would she have to sing?

She’s also physically nothing at all like Cher.

i mean, is physical resemblance even relevant? surely it's about the embodiment of character and the narrative involved.

Back when I was at (lets call it) Shizz university, we used to play ‘Gypsies’ on a loop in the SU bar (early 90’s…not actual 70’s cheeky!), sometimes to the point of them unplugging it so that we couldn’t. I am greatly looking forward to this now.

I’m actually surprised how good Debbie sounds! She has little subtle notes of Cher but isn’t a drag queen impersonation like we got with Stephanie on Broadway. Wish we’d seen more of Millie and Danielle instead of their awkward dancing like a couple of spare parts.

I really don’t understand how Millie got the role she is dreadful Her performance on This Morning with Danielle and Debbie was shockingly embarrassing. I was really enjoying it until she stepped up and opened her mouth. Believe was a pretty bad choice of song though - the original is auto-tuned to within an inch of its life and she just sounded horrendous trying to replicate it and keep in time with the music. Hope she improves because I was really looking forward to seeing this.

Debbie and Danielle were brilliant. Danielle will be iconic in the role, I’ve always thought she was born to play Cher. Millie was rather awful and could not hit any of the low notes at all.

Oh dear. I had to go watch to see if people were being harsh but I couldn't finish watching Millie, it was so bad. Not a good advert at all.

Just seen this - this was not a good advertisement for the show. Debbie sounded the best and I even got Cher from how she presented herself. I did not get Cher from Danielle at all, she can sing though. Millie is in over her head. I know a job is a job but I wouldn't want to be the weak link.

Danielle was obviously trying something, but it didn’t work. There’s still time.
