This was fairly terrible on Broadway (but strangely enjoyable)

What's the source? Baz says the frocks won't be seen on these shores...

What's the source? Baz says the frocks won't be seen on these shores... I trust the source, an announcement should be made next week apparently. We shall hopefully see then. I think Baz could be referring to Bob Mackies' involvement? Mebbe they have someone else doing costumes for the tour?

This seems incredibly unlikely (especially with no Bob Mackie involvement).
That link to Cher is what made the show (that and SJB). A smaller, less extravagant production seems a bit of a waste of time to me.

Intriguing. I think I saw The Bands Visit instead of this and wish I saw the latter... Apart from it being about Cher and the costumes looking amazing, don't know that much about it.

Can't see anything about a tour. Looks like London in 2022, would be surprised if it toured the same year. Looks like a good show.

The costumes on Broadway along with Stephanie J Block made the show if I’m honest, I found the rest of the staging to be pretty bare. It was fun though and I’d go again should it be on over here.

Presumably it's similar in tone and style to Thriller than it is to Tina? Probably not much of a story with dear old Cher. Hell of a back catalogue though. I'm game!

So long as we get ‘Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves’ at least twice I’m in!

I wonder if this is going in the London Coliseum, like 'On Your Feet' the Gloria Estefan musical did, then out on tour.

The frocks were literally the only good thing about this show.
It’s genuinely not worth doing without them.
Just waiting for Sheridan Smith or Jenna Russell to be ‘rumoured’ to play Cher 🤣🤣

It's true. I know someone from the management side who is attached.

A knock-off tour without Bob Mackie's costumes is...not good

A Bill Kenwright Cher Show would be HILARIOUS though (for all the wrong reasons)

I’m looking forward to this as I regret not seeing it in New York def booking for one of the Cardiff dates. I think a tour for a show like this is. Can’t wait to finally see it

Mackie is literally a character in the show so if he's not involved, it must have been very Kenwrightified. Are we sure it's not a 'Jersey Nights' style knock off?

I saw this on Broadway and although the book was rather vanilla and bland the performances, music and costumes ACE. I preferred it to many new show like Tina. I presumed it would come the the UK eventually

This brand new UK production is directed by Arlene Phillips (Grease, Starlight Express), choreographed by Oti Mabuse (double Strictly winner) with costumes by Gabriella Slade (Spice World Tour, SIX) 😉 x

I'm confused. how you do Cher without a Bob Mackie costume? It's like doing Liza without a Halston.
