Felt sorry for Caroline going out this week but it was inevitable
I don't see the point in keeping Maisie now. She is clearly the least popular contestant and landing in the bottom from 2nd on the leaderboard shows there is nothing that can really save her from being in the bottom again and again
That just feels cruel.

Craig pointed out that Alesha had been in the bottom and then went on to win That was in the quarter final when there were only 4 couples left So it is in no way comparable to the position in which Maisie has found herself Bottom two in successive weeks is a sign that you don't have popular support. Particularly this week from 2nd spot.

It's true that she isn't getting many votes, but she also isn't helped by only having three judges, all of whom are only using a few of their paddles. You're bound to get more tied scores.
There were two ties this week, one equal to her and one below. You've effectively removed the bottom two positions on the converted scores for the judges. The public vote will never have ties, so they still have the full range available.
With no ties (assuming she finished 2nd with the judges, bottom with the public) Maisie would have 7+1 = 8 at a minimum. Clara would have had 1 point, so would have had to have come 1st or 2nd with the public to equal or be above Maisie (her maximum score would have been 9). As it was, she started on 3, so only needed to be 4th or higher with the public, and had a potential maximum of 11 points.

Now that Nicola has gone does it mean.the series will finish a week early or one week no one will go? Or did i hear that she she might be back?

I think Nicola and Katya are just going to be making an appearance on the final. Hasn’t there usually been 4 couples in the final and then 3 do the show dance? I’d guess that this year it’s still going to be the same number of weeks and just one less in the final than they originally planned.

They had planned 5 couples in the final this year presumably in case they lost some because of Covid so as long as no one else pulls out they will still have 4 couples in the final.

Hasn’t there usually been 4 couples in the final and then 3 do the show dance? It’s normally 4 couples in the final, all 4 do their Judges’ Choice and Showdance and then 3 go on and do their own choice.

Right here goes...
Clara - Jive - flat footed. Lacking bounce. Too many mistakes. She was defeated by the dance and it showed

That was a ludicrous set of marks for Clara. She stopped dancing at one point. No way was that a 5 let alone 6 or 7.

Jamie - Tango - loved the music. They sustained the mood well. It was pretty crisp. But far too much faffing at the start.
Was a good effort with some nice moments

Motsi has personally supervised the putting of a padlock on the shutters of her shop window in Germany and is back in some sort of Queen Ann style bustiere which looks like my Mum’s brocade cushion covers. Well done love!

Harvey - couple's choice - I found that quite emotional. A couple of timing blips but very slight ones. He is such a natural dancer. Great choreo

Ranvir - AS - well that was smooth. Ish. Light in terms of complexity. Limited footwork. Just dull. Lacked any real performance flair.

Bill - Jive - rather laboured. Some obvious mistakes. Hate the straddling move. Choreo wasn't the best. And overmarked.

JJ - VW - that was a genuinely emotional performance. Amy is a real star and looked wonderful. He danced cleanly. It was so well styled.
He deserves success.

Maisie - QS - once it got going it was ok. It was technically demanding. She did a decent job but still not engaging. I don't think she can do anything to win me over. Just don't like her performance style.

I enjoyed Maisie’s dance a lot. I hope she stays in. I think Clara and Ranvir will be bottom two.

At this point they might as well rename Couples Choice do what the hell you like and get over marked. Another instantly forgettable one tonight.
This has been a particularly dull series lacking memorable dances so great to see Masie break that trend with her fantastic Quickstep so of course it doesn't even get the best mark of the night. Shows what a traditional ballroom or Latin can still achieve despite the producers trying to minimise the number we actually see.
Probably Clara out tonight, hopefully JJ and Jamie join her soon.
