If we could use this for your general discussion and please keep the other threads on topic it would be appreciated. Please remember, no spreading of misinformation (this is against Proboards rules and could get us closed down) or posts intended to frighten or alarm members.
Thanks.

As a few major museums open here in the States, I've notice a silver lining that I feel a bit sheepish or guilty to even mention: the initial attendance limitations and timed entrances mean that for once, it may be possible to truly enjoy a museum experience (particularly to look at major or popular works) instead of fighting the (selfie) crowds.

I work at a very famous museum in London and I'm interested to see how they deal with it here. Some galleries are huge and will therefore be ideal for distancing, but I can imagine a lot of people rushing back to visit for something to do once restrictions end. Having no tourists will cut down on a lot of traffic but I'm hoping they can figure something out. From what I've heard most places are opening 'back of house' before anything else.

Something that doesn't seem to have come up anywhere is that with journeys to and from work possibly being doubled if not more for many shouldn't places be looking at adding portaloos along routes? My normal bus journey home takes 3 buses and an average of almost two hours - double that with no loos and I foresee certain issues with my return to work!

My normal bus journey home takes 3 buses and an average of almost two hours - double that with no loos and I foresee certain issues with my return to work! That's if you can even get on a bus. Last week I had to walk the last part of my journey home every day as the bus can now only accommodate about 15 people instead of 85 so it doesn't let let anyone on at my stop. Added to this the service has halved its frequency meaning that there is no point waiting for the next one as that will also be full with even more people waiting at the bus stop.

Are you thinking this is a second wave or the result of people cramming the beach a couple of weeks ago?

lynette no idea, we need to continue our focus despite the mixed messages, hundreds are still dying every day and we can now rely on our instinct which is a dangerous scenario.

I've seen suggestions that this is actually the first wave in the South West as they haven't been particularly badly affected so far.

If this is the first wave it would imply it was bought into the area recently within the last two weeks (VE Day).
A dangerous precedent for tourist areas which have fortunately had limited impact so far?

If you have a Tory MP check their Twitter feed to determine the contempt they feel for you if they use this cut and paste standardised tweet to reply to their concerned constituents.
Constituents who have contacted me regarding Dominic Cummings can rest assured I’ve conveyed the strength of local feeling to relevant colleagues. Personal replies to follow in due course.

Believe the Prime Minister is holding a press conference later, sorry a simple mistake, it is Dominic Cummings.

James O’Brien was talking about this on LBC this morning. We are in a safe labour area so no copy and paste tweet here!

Got to love Ricky Gervais on Twitter
If the c**t doesn't show himself soon, Cliff Richard will sing a f***ing song.

He'll be gone by the end of the week. He's just a joke.

Well it certainly cleared it up. If your eyesight is getting worse, gather your family and get behind the wheel of a car

On camera he has said he went to see his wife who had symptoms then went back to work. On. Camera. If he is still here by the end of the week there will be riots I reckon.

Just looked up my mp, he appears to just be tweeting anti china rhetoric but has to be in one of the safest blue seats so can't imagine he's too worried.

Not that it makes much difference because the whole thing was rather unfortunate this afternoon but didn't he say she had sickness and a headache? So not the main symptoms of the virus.
