It seems there was a pro shot recording of this production made and it has now been uploaded onto YT.
I know we can't talk about bootlegs, but are pro shots allowed to be mentioned?
I'm not going to link to it, just in case, but if you search for "INTO THE WOODS" (2022; Theatre Royal Bath; Terry Gilliam; Stephen Sondheim) you should be able to find it.

I found it a few minutes after bobbievanhusen's post and watched the first 20 minutes or so. Now it doesn't show up at all on the page and it's also disappeared from my watch history, so I assume it's been taken down.

I think the fact a video was leaked illegally probably is the final nail in the coffin for a transfer.
It does make me slightly wonder about other productions rumoured to open at that time, and if they've met the same fate.

Hopefully someone was able to grab it while it was up

I'm gonna keep my eye on the usual places this turns up, but I doubt anyone was able to download it in the time.

I think that Mr B may have confirmed that it will have no future life…but I may be mistaken. 🤔😜

This has been dead for a while.
Another team are in the process of trying to get a production together but it won't be this one.

I don't remember if it was supposed to be a replica production of the latest Broadway one. I saw that in October 2022 and still remains a fond memory.

Well good to know that such a thing exists and it has made it into the wild, even if only briefly! I saw it twice, really enjoyed it

This is definitely not a pro-shot? Unless someone has now unloaded the boot. Nice to see some discussion of this show again regardless:)

Nice to see some discussion of this show again regardless:) I think it's just a really grotty camera, done likely for a cast member or someone in production. I don't know if Theatre Royal Bath has house cameras or stuff like that..?
So not a pro-shot as in like a multi-cam set up + soundboard, but rather a recording authorised by the theatre, maybe.

I just looked at a few key moments and wasn't overwhelmed by it.
I know it isn't a pro shoot and thus the lighting is not going to work for video but it is very dark.
The characterisation is not particularly innovative but it is pretty well sung.
Don't get the witch outfit post transformation at all!
Am certain it was better in the theatre that it appears. But doesn't hugely surprise me that it hasn't transferred

It was an okay production, if a bit inconsistent, both logically and aesthetically. None of the edits on the book was an improvement. I think the director(s) should have worked a bit more on the actors: Alex Young in particular was born to play the role, and yet she was only okay in it. It's the first time I watched Into the Woods and thought that, as Patti would say, the Baker's Wife is a supporting role.

I don’t get the excitement for this production. It was misjudged in almost every way (IMO). Rashan Stone in particular. Hence the reason it never transferred. All theatre owners went to see it and none wanted it.

Not trying to start a discourse but it is, it’s filmed from the royal circle which is just above stalls/orchestra. I went a few times and there were nights when tickets sold were sparse, hence the sight line is really good.
