Any idea where it’s booked to go into in town? Not sure they’d get away with CRH’s actor muso version if people are paying west end prices. ‘Sunset’ struggled to fill the Comedy and that was a good production...Is Brenda doing Hairspray at the Coliseum? This would get her name out a bit more?

I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't got a West End theatre yet but London may not mean West End.

I would've thought the Savoy- but then again, a few houses will be empty by the end of this year.
Think it actually suits the piece with an older lead- rather than a 23 year old.

I'm not sure this will be the same production as the the last tour. I'm not sure whether CRH is involved with this. You'd assume he's be announced as the director along with all this other info given he's also a 'name' yet there is no mention of him in any of the tweets nor on the site? From my understanding, it's a brand new production by Jamie Wilson at the Curve, with Whoopi attached this time.

Can’t find anywhere that says Brenda will be doing London... wonder if she does the tour and Beverley Knight does London...

Worried about them performing I Will Follow Him on Loose Women.

A bit/very misleading to perform 'I Will Follow Him' when it's not in the show. Unless it now IS in the show?
I do like Brenda but is it not a little odd to rewrite a part just to suit a particular actor? I guess they do lower the keys of songs for others so it's much of a much-ness.

To be fair it was just on in the background, not being performed.

This is apparently a duplicate thread, there's already a longer one a few pages back, perhaps could be linked ?
On general sale at least at Curve Leicester today

Just watched the Curve season launch and for those wondering, they confirmed this isn't going to be the same production as the last tour.

Just watched the Curve season launch and for those wondering, they confirmed this isn't going to be the same production as the last tour. Well the previous tour was directed by Craig Revel Horwood, so it doesn't surprise me that it'll be a new production. I think they are trying to tell the same story but from a different perspective, which i think will be interesting to see! Has it been announced yet who will be directing this production?

They have teased today that it's going into Londons biggest theatre and the cast will include one Hollywood Oscar winner and one 3 time Bafta winning comedy icon...
I guess it will go into the coliseum after Hairspray? It nahes sense because the same producers had On Your Feet in there

Probably London Coliseum after Hairspray until early September - same producer as On Your Feet. It's very possible that these 'names' are only doing the London season.
New production - directed by Bill Buckhurst I believe.
