I mean the only two actors who have 3 'best actress' BAFTAS are Judi Dench and Helen Mirren...
I didn't work out for writing - Jennifer Saunders is a shout though.

They have teased today that it's going into Londons biggest theatre and the cast will include one Holywood Oscar winner and one 3 time Bafta winning comedy icon... I guess it will go into the coliseum after Hairspray? It nahes sense because the same producers had On Your Feet in there ....Olivia Colman as the Mother Superior? Hasn't she said she is terrified of doing live theatre? |

Hmmm, quite enjoyed this at the Palladium but is at the more mediocre end of the Menken musicals (for me).
Has also toured extensively so am unconvinced of the demand for a new West End version (inevitably cheaper than the original).
Do like some of the songs though. Is a shame they cut How I Got The Calling as I love that one.

I saw Whoopi in it last time, she could just about sing Mother Superior, but no way she could sing Delores. Are we sure that she and Ms Saunders aren’t sharing the role? Whoopi seemed to make a big deal of casting Brenda Edwards in the leading role.
